Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 650: Warfare Event: Doom Lord’s Advent

”Their troops all have above twenty million combat power.”

”The sword is giving off a threatening aura. I guess he isn’t ranked fifth for nothing.”

”It’s clear they’ve used their decks and some external resources to build this army.”

”I wonder what capabilities they have?”

The 100,000 troops had 20+ million combat power.

The other four kingdoms did have such combat power in their armies, but not all 100,000 had that like the Ananta Regalon Kingdom’s troops.

Time passed in silence for most, but not for the Regalons.

There were still several hours left, so Ainen began cooking on the big broadsword’s blade, and everyone had a feast that buffed them right before the event began.

Currently, Ainen’s food buffs could last for a minimum of one day.

As the countdown hit zero, the gate pulsed with power and an announcement rang out.

[Warfare Event: Doom Lord’s Advent]

[Doom Monarch and his army are overtaking the world of Maevira. The five kingdoms that used to rule the world are helpless against the approaching tide of Doom March and his army. Now, only five islands far south in the ocean are the last sanctuary.]

[Your five kingdoms will appear on one island each and support the existing five kingdoms to drive off the initial invasion and defend the islands.]

[From there, you will gradually enter the mainland and fight against the Doom Monarch and his Doom Empire.]

[Each kill and destruction of the Doom Monarch’s army, defenses, towers, and structures will give you Doom Points. You may also eliminate other participating kingdoms, but the only way to end the event and kill the Doom Monarch is by combining the five pieces of artifact that each reside in the existing five kingdoms.]

[You have one year to annihilate the Doom Monarch. Failure will reward you nothing, but victory will reward the kingdom with the highest amount of Doom Points.]

[The ocean hides the ruins of an ancient civilization, so explore it to acquire various resources and mystery rewards. The reward will be announced and added to the pool every month.]

Everyone read the rules.

”One year long, huh?”

”So we have to compete with each other, can also eliminate each other, but we need a piece of artifact from each kingdom and combine it to destroy the Doom Monarch.”

”Tricky.”

The Regalons were hyped.

”This sounds fun,” Marcus grinned.

”Indeed,” Silvester nodded. ”We will have to organize a proper governing body to handle different tasks.”

[You may enter the gate now.]

”So the moment we enter, we will be fighting off the ongoing invasion of the existing islands where the kingdoms are surviving,” Rudra narrowed his eyes. ”Let’s make sure we keep our ally safe and as intact as possible. We have to cooperate properly and develop together to increase our overall power.”

The world twisted.

Space folded like a collapsing sheet, and in the next instant, the Regalons emerged into a blazing sky filled with smoke and ash.

A violent shockwave rippled outward the moment their 100,000 troops manifested above a vast island surrounded by raging, blackened waters.

Below them, chaos reigned.

The Kingdom of Suryax was already in the midst of war.

Cities burned.

Massive obsidian towers pulsed with dark energy along the coastline, spewing out waves of grotesque creatures. Winged abominations blotted the sky, while armored monstrosities stormed through shattered walls.

The defenders were barely holding on.

Golden armored soldiers, clearly the elites of Suryax, fought desperately alongside mages who were already exhausted, their spells weakening.

Then the Regalons descended.

”Formation,” Rudra’s voice cut through the battlefield, calm and absolute.

In an instant, the 100,000 troops spread out like a living tide.

Almond’s eyes flashed.

”Begin annihilation.”

The world trembled.

A storm of power erupted.

Blades of light, torrents of elemental destruction, and waves of arcane constructs crashed down upon the invading Doom forces.

The difference was immediate.

It was overwhelming.

It was one sided.

A single Regalon soldier clashed against a Doom creature and erased it.

Another raised their weapon and ten more enemies disintegrated.

The battlefield, once desperate, turned into a slaughter.

Above, Almond stood on Abyssbreaker, his presence alone distorting the air.

”Expand.”

The Grimblade pulsed.

A domain spread outward.

Everything within its reach slowed, weakened, and began to collapse.

Doom creatures froze mid charge.

Their bodies decayed.

Their existence unraveled.

”Axiom of Denial.”

The moment the effect took hold, the battlefield shifted permanently.

Wounds no longer healed.

Regeneration ceased.

Every Doom entity struck was marked for inevitable death.

Lily moved next.

Her Dreadlings poured into the battlefield like a nightmare given form.

They devoured everything.

Towers crumbled under their assault.

Defenses collapsed.

The spawning structures were torn apart before they could produce more enemies.

”Cut their source,” Ainen said, already moving.

Her cooking flames transformed mid motion into combat flames, sweeping across clusters of enemies and incinerating them in controlled bursts.

Meanwhile, Silvester and Hiroshi pierced through the battlefield like twin streaks of death.

Where they passed, nothing remained.

Marcus laughed as he crashed down into a cluster of towering Doom constructs, shattering them into fragments with raw force.

”This is more like it!”

Within minutes, the invasion broke.

The remaining Doom forces tried to retreat.

They could not.

The Regalons did not allow it.

Every last enemy was hunted down and erased.

Silence fell over the island.

Smoke still rose.

Flames still burned.

But the war was over.

The defenders of Suryax stood frozen.

They had expected death.

Instead, they witnessed absolute domination.

Rudra stepped forward, scanning the battlefield.

”Secure the island.”

Orders flowed instantly.

The Regalons moved with terrifying efficiency.

Groups were assigned without hesitation.

One division began sweeping the entire island for any remaining threats.

Another moved to assist the injured, stabilizing the surviving soldiers of Suryax.

Meanwhile, Almond raised his hand.

”Ward deployment.”

A massive array began to form.

Runes spread across the sky like a second layer of reality.

Lily’s constructs anchored the formation points across the island, while Ainen and the Spirit Lords infused it with stabilizing energy.

”Barrier reinforcement, layer three,” Silvester added.

Hiroshi drove his blade into the ground at the center point.

Energy surged.

A dome formed.

Then another.

And another.

Layer upon layer of protection wrapped around the entire island.

The ocean itself reacted.

Waves that had been raging moments ago calmed as the barrier stabilized the surrounding space.

The sky cleared.

The suffocating pressure of the Doom invasion vanished completely.

Within a short span of time, the Kingdom of Suryax was no longer on the brink of destruction.

It was fortified.

It was protected.

It was reclaimed.

Rudra exhaled slowly, his gaze steady.

”This is just the beginning.”

Almond’s lips curled faintly.

”Now we build.”
