Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 625: John Wicked’s Pocket Realm Acquisition Preparation

Rudra and Aryan were bored.

Standing as guards of a rather fancy city of a kingdom ranked 749th on the leaderboard, it had only been half a day, but it was utterly bland.

They were getting information by asking questions, but they had already learned the basic information. For more, they would have to explore themselves.

”Dad, why don’t we resign and participate in arenas?” Aryan yawned as he asked, his face showing the epitome of boredom.

”We can do that.” Rudra nodded.

”Hey, beautiful. I know a good place in this city. Want to have dinner after my shift is over?” Aryan smiled at the lady in high heels wearing a one-piece outfit as she entered and immediately shifted his persona.

She was a Tier-22 powerhouse.

Seeing a Tier-6 guard daring to invite her on a date, she was quite dumbfounded and continued on her way without pausing, wondering if she had heard it wrong.

”It’s quite good that people have to follow the laws here. And that means you can’t hit a guard unless they violate some offenses.” Aryan chuckled.

”Don’t go overboard with your words, or you’ll break some rules.”

”Of course.”

The city had fifty entrances, and they were guards of one of them. This entrance didn’t have much traffic, so in the past 12 hours, they had seen fewer than 100 people entering and leaving.

Their shift was 72 hours long.

And there was no way they were surviving as guards that long.

”Hey, folks. Looks like you both are quite bored.”

Both of them saw a person suddenly appearing ten meters across.

A familiar face.

”John Wicked?” Rudra blinked. ”So you can find us here.”

”Indeed.” John chuckled.

”What are those fellows doing? Almond and Lily must have arrived here already,” Aryan asked with a grin. ”And I doubt they chose something as boring as being guards.”

John laughed. ”They decided to become slaves at the bottom-tier plane, which is also called the playground of losers, where they are planning to completely overhaul the plane itself and put it under one banner before ascending. Right now, they’ve already started to spread chaos.”

”Knew it. Those fellows would definitely do something like that.” Aryan wryly smiled.

Rudra smiled. ”It’s like them to do that.”

John smiled. ”Some new, powerful people have become their companions as well. Natali and Kayla also got together with those two in the second layer, so they are together.”

”And you are here because you have something for us?” Rudra blinked.

”Bingo.” John waved his hand, showing a small hologram of a multi-layered orb. ”This is a pocket realm with its own internal system that derives energy from the third layer to sustain itself.”

”The headquarters and capitals of many kingdoms are in such pocket realms. Acquiring a pocket realm also activates the Pocket Realm Mayhem, a permanent event where all kingdoms that have pocket realms participate in a tower-defense-like game. Our realms will be invaded by waves of monsters with five cracks pouring them out. Based on ranking, the kingdoms can acquire important resources and high-tier blueprints.”

Rudra and Aryan were surprised.

John smiled. ”So we are going to prepare and participate in an event that rewards a pocket realm to the winner. Before Almond and others come here, let’s get a territory for the Regalon Kingdom.”

”Great.” Aryan grinned. ”So what do we have to do for these preparations?”

”Let’s get you resigned first.” John Wicked’s eyes flickered as his wristband popped up a hologram.

After a second, he said, ”Alright, I’ve officially recruited you to my PeakWicked Kingdom.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Rudra and Aryan got a beep on their wristbands as well.

A message notified them that they were relieved from the position of guards of this kingdom and became citizens of PeakWicked Kingdom.

”Let’s start moving. We have to begin preparations immediately.”

John turned around, and suddenly, the ground beneath them became dark before the darkness lifted abruptly as the trio vanished.

In the sky tens of thousands of kilometers high, above the segments of planes, planets, and exotic flows of space, a massive black bird with purple and gold patterns flew across vast distances, entering from one world to another in a descending manner.

On top of the bird were Rudra, Aryan, and John.

”The participant requirement is a group of six to ten people, so the competition will be group-based. There’s no tier limit in this competition, so if our luck is bad and some powerhouses from the top 100 decide to participate, we’ll have to forget about it.”

”That’s a bummer.” Aryan wryly smiled before his eyes glinted with thrill. ”But it’s also exciting to join this race where the peak powers are still growing, and there’s much unknown to explore.”

”We shall catch up to them and compete for the top.” Rudra nodded, a blaze of thrill and anticipation also burning in his eyes.

”That’s the spirit.” John grinned. ”Fortunately, I know four such competitions, so we’ll enter the one where we’ll win. We can’t enter one by one since routine-type events are held simultaneously across the whole third layer.”

Rudra raised his eyebrows. ”That makes it fair.”

”True. It’s actually good for us. Otherwise, those strong powerhouses could also dominate each competition one by one if they were held at different times.” Aryan nodded.

”Exactly.” John chuckled. ”And another thing. Four more Regalons arrived here a few hours ago. We are going to pick them up. That’s six people. I’ll add four from my side for a balanced lineup.”

”Oh? Who are they?” Rudra asked.

”One is the swordsman pair, Hiroshi and Silvester. The other pair is Marcus and Maya.”

...

Marcus and Maya had chosen to work in a restaurant as a starter before deciding to move on to other things. The main reason was to eat.

Before arriving in the third layer, they hadn’t eaten for days. And they just wanted to put something in their mouths.

And it worked, as the first thing they did was eat.

Now, they were peacefully working in a half-empty restaurant.

The bell rang as the door opened and the next customer walked in.

Marcus and Maya were both servers and took orders. Seeing the new customer, which turned out to be a group of customers, they were stunned.

”Hello, young folks.” John Wicked smiled.

Aryan rubbed his stomach. ”Let’s eat something before going to pick up your old friends, Dad. It’s been days since I ate.”

Marcus and Maya arrived while smiling.

”Where’s Almond and Lily? Are they not with you?” Marcus asked.

”They are in another plane, doing something. But we will be doing something else.” Rudra smiled. ”Anyway, we are hungry, so let’s eat first.”

”Sure, here’s the menu. Tell us what you’d like to eat.”
