Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 98: Lightning Elemental Mastery, Training In Dungeon (2/3)

Whenever lightning struck his fortified Mana on his body and shattered it, Almond could feel the essence of lightning due to his connection to his Mana.

His mana acted like a medium of sorts that conveyed the power of lightning. It was like a wild signal that was up to him to interpret and comprehend.

And then, when the lightning pass through his body after shattering his defense, his body itself imprinted the power of lightning. It was up to him to recognize and understand its impact. To perceive his entire bodyʼs reaction and lightningʼs effect on his flesh and blood.

Generally, the biggest starting obstacle is staying focused enough to perceive the lightningʼs nature and essence amidst pain.

But, owing to Almondʼs tireless and arduous self-training in Physical Enhancement that reflected his desperation and determination both before he entered the Labyrinth, his capacity for enduring pain had reached remarkable heights.

One could also keep Fortification stronger to prevent it from shattering, but that would diminish the ʼfeedbackʼ of the lightning elements.

It was clearly written to immerse body and mind both in the lightning.

His mind connected to his Mana, which was immersed in lightning when it struck his Fortification.

And his body experienced lightningʼs essence when it struck his body and spread.

Almond had forgotten about the pain and was immersed in feeling the lightningʼs attributes, its essence.

He was in it until a monotone voice of the Labyrinth rang in his head.

[Congratulations. You have acquired a skill—(D) Lightning Elemental Mastery.]

Almond opened his eyes and grinned, ”Awesome.”

[Lightning Elemental Mastery]

-Skill rank: D (Next rank progress: 2%)

—> you can attract lightning elements in the atmosphere to transform your Mana and give it lightningʼs attributes.

-Effects when applying lightning attributes.

—1. Bonus Lightning elemental damage: 20% potency of your Mana.

—2. Shock potency: 13% chance—Briefly disrupts the targetʼs actions, causing a minor loss in movement and reaction speed.

—3. Paralyse potency: 14% chance—Immobilizes the target, rendering them unable to act.

ʼThereʼs stronger lightning in the next area. I gotta go there and train,ʼ Almondʼs eyes glinted as he looked at the mountain with unnatural dark clouds covering it all around, crackling with golden lightning.

It was also a big area in size since the mountain was 2-3 kilometers wide at the base and roughly 400 meters large peak seven kilometers high.

Although the density value of this dungeon was medium, the dungeonʼs border had turned golden. It was considered the highest level because turning black meant the dungeon would break shortly, with no way of preventing the dungeon break even if people entered inside.

”How long was I up there for?” Almond asked as he descended.

”Half an hour,” Anton answered before raising an eyebrow, ”You want to move to a more intense lightning area?”

”Yep,” Almond smiled.

”Come on, buddies. Letʼs go towards that mountain,” Almond jumped on the Starlight Beastʼs back and sat cross-legged with leisure. ”Iʼll recover fully in the meanwhile.”

He also checked the status of his pets and nodded in satisfaction. ʼIt looks like theyʼll eventually hit the stat limit of the rank. Itʼd be great if I could do that to all my spirit wraiths.ʼ

Almond had made his Dark Pope Benedict hit the limit in Mana stat, and due to his extra 10% Mana passive trait because of his body, he had 110 Mana. He also didnʼt need to rely on his physical body due to his shadow physique and skill set, so in terms of overall power, Dark Pope was currently the ʼdeadliest.ʼ

But the rest of his summons hadnʼt hit the limit in the stats yet.

Seeing how the stats grew in Starlight Beast and Chimera Crystalist, each magic crystal of gold-rank monsters gave them 1-5 random stat points.

ʼI have access to dungeons without limit, so I can start this grind,ʼ Almondʼs eyes glinted.

Almond made a mental note to list all of his Spirit Wraithsʼ core attributes and powers, then gave it to Marshal Lopol to find suitable dungeons!

As the party arrived at the mountain base, Almond jumped off the Starlight Beast and took out some items.

—Lightning Static Field Flag x 2 (Rare).

—Thunderblast Spear x 2 (Uncommon)

—Lightning Charge Armor x 2 (Rare)

—Thunderblitz Bombs x 8 (Uncommon)

These items were from 4 Lightning Horn Rhinos and ten Thunder Blitz Monkeys since he had captured their Spirits.

He didnʼt capture other spirits of monsters the group may have killed since he was immersed in the training.

”Use these items when necessary. Iʼve shared the details, so take a look.”

Rikki and Anton were surprised but also curious.

”Whatʼs with this effect: It can boost all lightning elements within the field for the user with lightning affinity to use to charge their skill?” Nikki was dumbfounded as she read Lightning Static Field Flag.

”This armor is quite powerful, especially its effect. It boosts our physical stats by 20% if we can charge it with a bit of lightning or get struck by lightning damage. Damn,” Anton murmured.

”But they got 3 days of existent duration, huh? So they disappear after three days?” Niiki blinked.

Both of them could feel that these items looked a bit familiar, as their theme resembled the Lightning Horn Rhino and Thunder Blitz Monkeys.

”Yep. They disappear, but I can extend their duration,” Almond smiled. He didnʼt reveal how, but it would be enough to let them know that he could increase it.

”If your class can create items like this…itʼs pretty powerful,” Antonʼs eyes glinted. ”Is this your primary class?”

”Indeed,” Almond smiled. ”This and summons are from it.”

”Create items and get summons…”

Nikki and Anton looked at each other, feeling speechless and envious both. It was a goddamn powerful class!

”Anyway, letʼs continue moving, I want to train,” Almond said as he looked at the mountain, eager to put a theory into practice to increase his speed of gaining lightning mastery.

ʼItʼs a bit dangerous, as the book said, but itʼs a method. Since itʼs a method, itʼs worth trying.ʼ Almond internally snorted. ʼI have good control, can be patient, and remain focused. I wonʼt mess up.ʼ

It was just a—Death if not careful—type method. He should try it at least…while being careful.
