Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 90: Duncan Silvester

[#KingDog: Holy shit, how is he moving around like that?]

[#Sky11: His movements are crazy. And I think that cloak is partly responsible for it.]

[#Urrr @Sky11: What do you mean? That item has a skill that makes him move like that?]

[#Sky11 @Urrr: Absolutely. Check the 1:39 part of the video. It shines briefly there, and then his speed increases, and the amount of time he floats around. I am guessing it has some gravity-defying effect, but he only uses it when necessary since it seems to remain active only for a minute or two I guess. Anyway, that doesnʼt change the fact that he is a monster in combat.]

[#BurningFighter009 @Sky11: His boots are also aiding him in speed and jump, I am guessing. But he is able to coordinate his movements very well. I for one canʼt move like him even though I can fight those Gold-rank monsters.]

[#Lolno: Holy cow, that guy is killing those monsters as if he is killing flies. I think the video title is fake. Heʼs definitely not a silver-rank Adventurer.]

[#Nun001: Thatʼs obvious for all to see, but he is pretty good nonetheless. I wonder if heʼll appear in the Rising Star Tournament?]

[#SwordGod: This man is a true monster of the sword. I would love to spar with him.]

[#Keerrrra @SwordGod: Damn, itʼs SwordGod himself! I am learning a lot about sword training thanks to your videos. And if you say he is a true monster, then how does he fare compared to you, senior?]

[#DumDoll @SwordGod: When are you going to reveal your identity, senior? We are tired of seeing a scarecrow bucket hiding your face. Are you a renowned Adventurer or what? There are many theories painting you as some top adventurers who use Sword, so whenʼs the grand reveal from yourself, senior?]

[#SwordGod @Keerrrra: Compared to me? Iʼm afraid he has a lot to learn, but if I can get his identity, I might extend an invitation to him.]

[#PurpleNight @SwordGod: Youʼve never invited anyone to your mysterious abode in natureʼs embrace, senior. Nobody knows where you record your sword training videos, but you are going to invite him? Thatʼs unprecendent.]

[#RoarHero @PurpleNight: Yeah, itʼs pretty crazy. Senior SwordGod has never invited anyone to his video, but he wants to do it this time… I guess that guy in the video is really that good.]

Roken had re-uploaded the video with extra censorship after leaving Almondʼs house that evening. The video only focused on Almond, his face blurred, and items were slightly altered. The original noises were replaced with some badass music, and there was no hint of other people in the video.

The video was gaining views at above-average speed, slowly blowing up.

There were some people who felt like they had seen that guy in the video. These people were those who had seen Almond in the Fairy Mountain. And they only felt that because of the Snow Hide Cloak and White Polan Tiger Belt that he had worn.

But no matter how hard they tried to remember his face, they couldnʼt.

Almondʼs innate talent—Heir of Oblivion, was playing its part as his impression on others was easily forgotten…unless it was on people he considered important.

…

Somewhere in the northern mountains of the globe, a man in his sixties sat cross-legged on a rock facing a small waterfall ten meters away from him. In front of him floated a table and cup with the control of his Mana as indicated by a faint lustrious border around the items.

A hologram was also projected from the tableʼs center, displaying the video of Almond with his face blurred.

”You got something good, young man,” the man spoke with his eyes glinting in light. ”I have to find you.”

Caressing his beard with one hand while nodding as he watched the video, his eyes glinted as he contacted someone using his custom comm wristwatch like the ones GAA members had. It had a unique design different from GAA wristwatches, indicating that he was part of a different organization.

He indeed was, but not part of an organization. Instead, he was the head of a renowned family.

Duncan Silvester—the head of the Duncan Family, renowned in martial arts, mainly sword mastery.

The Duncan family was comparable to the Ryugiri Family in terms of sword mastery. In terms of swordplay, these two families had dominated the field globally even before the Grimworld Tutorial descended.

[Duncan Silvester: Son, I am sending you a video link. I want you to find the Adventurer in the video. Make sure to inform me immediatly once you find him instead of taking any unnecessary actions.]

[Duncan Roy: Understood. Also, have you thought about Master Rishiʼs proposal?]

[Duncan Silvester: Iʼve thought about it and I might agree if more of the old monsters join. Rudraʼs involvement is also important, but he hasnʼt answered yet.]

[Duncan Roy: Admiral Rudra might reject the proposal, but his absence wonʼt affect the outcome if the rest of the powerhouses join.]

[Duncan Silvester: Thatʼs true, but his opinion matters.]

[Duncan Roy: Understood. Iʼll contact you once I make progress with your task.]

Duncan Silvester contacted Admiral Rudra afterward.

[Rudra: Itʼs rare for you to call me. Whatʼs the matter?]

[Silvester: Have you seen that video of a young man with genius swordplay?]

[Rudra:…donʼt.]

Admiral Rudra rubbed his temples.

[Silvester: Oho? You seem to know him. Thatʼs wonderful.]

[Rudra: Donʼt poke your nose in this. Stay away from him. He doesnʼt need your influence.]

[Silvester: I am sad you are treating an old friend like that. Iʼve put my son onto it, so heʼll find him sooner or later, so letʼs just save our time and resources, shall we? I wonʼt meddle much, I just want him to spar against my grandson.]

[Rudra: Your wish will be granted. Heʼll participate in the Rising Star Tournament.]

[Silvester: Cough, and I also want to spar with him.]

[Rudra: How about you spar with me?]

[Silvester:…]

[Rudra: Yeah, I figured.]

[Silvester: I just want to see him up close and clash the swords. The video is shortened and edited, so I canʼt see his full brilliance. But he is a wild one, thatʼs for sure. I can refine him, you know?]

[Rudra: No need. Heʼll be able to refine himself.]

[Silvester: You should know that leaving some geniuses alone could also destroy them if not properly guided. You havenʼt forgotten about Nina, right?]

[Rudra: He is different and…fine. Iʼll take him to you, but not anytime soon. Itʼll be after the Rising Star Tournament.]

[Silvester: Great! And Rudra, make sure that old bastard from the Ryugiri family doesnʼt sniff him out. Heʼll want to do the same as me once he sees that video. In fact, he doesnʼt have a male grandson, so I bet heʼll be more thirsty for this guy.]

[Rudra:…I should take down the video again.]

[Silvester: Bahahaha, no need. Itʼs fine. Only I and that old bastard can discern his genius sword from that video. The others might think he is a wild sword fighter with cool moves, thatʼs all. It helps that the video is shortened and edited, not to mention that itʼll spread as a fake video due to its title.]

[Rudra: Mhmm. Anyway, is that all?]

[Silvester: Thereʼs one more thing. Itʼs about Rishiʼs Proposal.]
