Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 73: Onwards to League of Firefly

Meanwhile, other girls, particularly the newbies like him, whispered among themselves.

ʼHis eyes are so beautiful, right? And his fashion sense is good too, that noble vest and coat combo with sleek black pants…ʼ

ʼStop it, girl. But I can feel you…ʼ

ʼWhat about his class? I think his class is powerful if he has such a powerful-looking summon.ʼ

ʼShould we invite him to our party? He is also Silver level 10, so heʼll also enter the 2nd Floor next month.ʼ

ʼDidnʼt we decide not to invite any boys for our first year here?ʼ

Meanwhile, the boys were quiet at a distance due to two reasons.

The first reason is that he healed Julian and seemed to know him and Roken. There were formed groups among Scout and Officer rank members, forming a sort of rivalry between them to get stronger and get over one another as their total contribution determined the next rank, and they could use GAAʼs benefits and resources by using contribution points.

The second reason is that a girl group that usually plays hard to get for seniors was swarming at him.

”Thanks for the healing, but you might attract fellows who will pick some trouble with you,” Julian said as he walked towards Almond after the girls left and nodded at him.

”They are free to pick the trouble,” Almond shrugged. ”Anyway, I am here because I want to go to the League of Firefly and do some shopping before checking out my house here.”

Almondʼs eyes glinted as he smiled and added. ”Of course, your free time to train is precious, so Iʼll give you some useful pointers regarding swordplay, what do you say?”

”Letʼs go,” Julianʼs reply was swift, his expression deadpan and serious. ”But make sure to keep your word.”

”Hahaha, what about me, bro?” Roken said as he pointed at himself smilingly. ”You got any tips for me?”

But before Almond could answer, a laugh echoed from behind as Doman and five people of his group—two girls and three boys twenty years old approached them.

”Youʼre seriously asking pointers from a Silver rank level 10 newbie, huh? No wonder you two arenʼt improving.”

”Itʼs none of your business, Doman,” Julian said, his expression indifferent. ”If youʼre just here to speak shit, no thanks. You can continue your training.”

”Little shit, you forgot your beating already?” Doman sneered.

”That was a spar,” Julian narrowed his eyes. ”Now, get lost.”

Conflicts resulting in fights were absolutely prohibited. Breaking this rule could result in bigger trouble and hamper their progress overall. They could only fight in proper sparring, so Doman could only get pissed even if he wanted to beat Julian.

”We are going to a dungeon as we just got a task mail, unlike a certain someone who got nothing to do,” Doman said as he turned aloof and looked at Almond, ”See you later, newbie.”

”Sure,” Almond smiled, unfazed, yet a chill glint passed through his eyes as he checked out a certain Attribute of this Doman. ʼThat oneʼs a negative, alright. Iʼll have to see if he has a skeleton or two in his closet.ʼ

ʼI would love my next summon to have some good close-combat expertise.ʼ Explore stories on

…

Almond stayed in the training zone until an Officer-rank girl with long dark green hair arrived, who also attracted some attention because of her status as the Branch Masterʼs student—Nevira Irdent.

She was in the same age group as Julian and Domanʼs group—twenty to twenty-one years old.

”Hereʼs the Rare-grade junks. Keep the storage pouch.”

”Thank you,” Almond accepted the storage pouch and put it in his coatʼs pocket. ʼSeven, huh? I was expecting more.ʼ

”Check the mail and pay on time,” Nevira said before leaving without further interaction.

Almond checked the mail and saw that these seven Rare-grade items cost him 57,400 Gold coins.

ʼNot bad.ʼ

”Roken, Iʼll buy your rare-grade item if you donʼt have any use for it,” Almond said.

”Really?! Thanks a lot, bro. Itʼs not that good, which was why nobody was willing to buy it.”

”And you put a price thatʼs more than its worth,” Julian rolled his eyes.

Roken winced, ”I wanted to recover some money. We donʼt even have any Dungeon assigned to us, and itʼs 3rd cycle, so we canʼt enter the Labyrinth anymore unless we have a death wish. What can I do now that Iʼve wasted over 200,000 Gold coins?”

Almond laughed and said, ”Iʼll buy it. Whatʼs the price?”

”Umm…I put it up for 25,000 but fuck it. I am not going to rip you off. Take it for 10,000.”

Almond chuckled, ”Alright, that just earned you a spot in a B-grade dungeon raid.”

”W-What?!” Roken shouted.

Julian was startled before his brows furrowed, ”How?”

”Just know that I got it, Iʼll tell you when weʼll go at the end of the day,” Almond cheekily smiled. ”For now, take me to the League of Firefly.”

”Letʼs go, young master,” Roken bowed like a butler and gestured to Almond with a respectful expression. ”Driver Julian, take out the car.”

Julian didnʼt say anything and began walking out of the training zone.

Almond followed as he said, ”That said, I also want to buy a car.”

Roken quickly walked beside Almond, ”Whatʼs your budget?”

ʼI should buy necessary things first before dumping all gold coins on gathering sacrificial rare-grade items.ʼ

”Budget, letʼs say itʼs a hundred thousand gold coins.”

”Damn, alright. I know some good dealers affiliated with GAA, so weʼll get a good car with your budget.”

…

As the trio got into the car, Almond asked, ”How far is the League of Firefly?”

”Roughly fifty kilometers away. They have to protect their territory, which also includes a coastal area. They have to stop monsters coming from the sea,” Julian answered as he began driving.

”Oh yeah, bro,” Roken said as he looked back at Almond, ”Why donʼt you get assigned to the mini-branch of GAA there? I mean, itʼs hard to get spots there, but given your strange position, you should be able to ask it.”

Julian nodded, ”GAA members there enjoy better training and a better environment cause thereʼs a beach, and they can join League of Fireflyʼs sea defense to kill monsters regularly, which earns them more gold coins.”

”Interesting. That just gave me a good idea,” Almond smiled.

On the way to the League of Firefly, Almond took his time checking out various important attributes of Julian and Roken.

His powers, especially in both of his classes, were suitable for a leader, a commander with the power to arm his subordinates with more power.

And Almond himself wanted to form a trustworthy group. He wasnʼt going to underestimate himself, especially after learning of his past life and the bigger troubles in the dark regarding this Grimworldʼs Tutorial.

ʼTheir characters are good in the core. One has a strong drive to get stronger despite the bad hand dealt to him and focuses on it.ʼ

ʼThe other has a carefree and honest nature. His sub-class might just pave a good path for him.ʼ

ʼStarting with these two, Iʼll make them powerful and earn their loyalty. This is the best way if I want truly trustworthy people to work for me.ʼ
