Apocalyptic Wasteland Simulator

Chapter 248 - 243: Smoothly
「At night, a happy smile graces your face, and you sleep soundly.」Tsk, tsk... Chen Pingchuan clicked his tongue and smacked his lips, intrigued by his actions in the simulation. Yes, intrigued. Every time he ran a simulation, he would first experience it virtually before replicating the actions in reality. As a result, each simulation felt like he was performing the actions himself, yet simultaneously, it was like watching another version of himself at work. This created a novel sense of detachment. Sometimes, even Chen Pingchuan himself didn’t know what antics he would pull, especially when his divine self might or might not be in control.

「The next morning, you wake gently to the sound of birds chirping. You stretch lazily, your heart full of anticipation for what is to come.」

Because of your good behavior yesterday, Xu Lingyin has even lifted the restrictions on your door. You walk out of your room to see servants busily preparing for the day’s banquet, and a nearly imperceptible smile curls your lips. Guests arrive one after another, laughing and chatting in the garden, completely unaware of the impending upheaval. You move through the crowd, exchanging polite greetings while discreetly observing everyone’s expressions. As the banquet officially begins, you personally serve glasses of ”Elysium” to the guests. Watching them eagerly drink it down, you rejoice inwardly, keenly anticipating their reactions when they face the giant insect attack tomorrow.

「On the third day, you take advantage of the idle daytime to enjoy a long, comfortable sleep, knowing that the night is your true stage.」

「On the third night, you open the prisoners’ cells one by one, though you only open the doors to four of them: those holding a young boy, a young girl, a burly man, and a flamboyantly seductive woman.」

At the dining table in the grand hall, your luxurious clothes stand in stark contrast to the others. You briefly introduce yourself, telling them you are a messenger of God whose purpose is to cleanse this sinful world. Some of them express doubt about your identity, especially the seductive woman from room four. She declares she’s only interested in your body. The reason you’ve spared her—not killing her on the spot—is to make an example of her. You use the ”Light Fingers” skill on the seductive woman and successfully snatch her bra, leaving it in your hand. Fınd the newest release on ????????????????????⁂????????????????⁂????????????

Chen Pingchuan stared at the text on the simulator, utterly speechless.

Does it have to be this outrageous? Last time, I stole that guy’s head to make the other three obey me. But stealing a bra? What the hell is that about? Plus, this time, my simulated self didn’t use the new ”Mutation” skill or cleanse the people in the other rooms. What on earth was ’he’ thinking? Or rather, what am I thinking?

Chen Pingchuan couldn’t figure it out and could only continue reading.

The seductive woman is astounded by your ability. Believing you capable of harming her, she changes her attitude and tells you her nickname is Poisonous Widow. You show no interest in her name. Instead, you inform the group that the next morning, you will free all the prisoners, and they must follow your lead to a safe place. Lilia asks why they should follow your orders. You look at Lilia and Wei Hao and issue a warning: if they don’t want to die, they’ll come with you. As for Porcupine, you whisper in his ear for a long time, and he agrees to your request with a cheerful smile. Poisonous Widow then asks why you haven’t required her to come along. You reply that if she can’t change her attitude to your satisfaction, her future holds only one possibility: death. Poisonous Widow is shocked by your declaration. Although her mind tells her not to believe the words of a charlatan like you, your earlier display of power was undeniably effective. In the end, she agrees to act as your underling for a time. You don’t reject her proposal; in your heart, the more cannon fodder for this mission, the better. You give her a single order: convince Great Fierce Bear from room two.

「After a quiet night, you make your move before dawn.」

You release all the remaining prisoners from their cells. This time, you don’t kill them to absorb their physical attributes. The freed prisoners dance with joy, celebrating their newfound freedom. They immediately notice you and your small group in the corridor, but surprisingly, no one thanks you, nor does anyone hurl insults. It’s as if the prisoners have a tacit understanding to simply ignore you. Murderous intent boils inside you. You want to slaughter these ’meat pigs’ and absorb their power, but you know you’ll need them later to distract the Hantan City police. You force yourself to let it go. Leading your team of five, you slay all the guards in the villa’s backyard, allowing the motley crew of capable but crazed prisoners to scatter in all directions. This time, you choose to hijack a small box truck. You put Porcupine, Great Fierce Bear, Poisonous Widow, and Wei Hao into the rear cargo compartment, while you and little Lilia take the front passenger seat. Although the others are clearly unhappy with your decision, no one dares to object, not even the notoriously fiery-tempered Great Fierce Bear. You tell the driver your destination: 888 Ancient Street, Southern Alliance Universal Bank Branch Center, Hantan City.

A chuckle escaped Chen Pingchuan’s lips in the real world.

Heh, ”it takes a villain to tame a villain.” I don’t even have to guess to know my divine self is acting up again in the simulation. Only it has that aura that makes people instinctively avoid it at a single glance. But why hasn’t the prompt for the real-life instance appeared yet? Can it only be entered once? Or has my decision altered the trajectory of fate so much that nothing I do now will change the outcome?

With these questions still on his mind, Chen Pingchuan continued the simulation, wanting to see if the plot would unfold as it did last time.

「When you arrive at the Southern Alliance bank branch, the people there have not yet sensed the upheaval. There are no signs of heightened security, nor have they received any notifications from their superiors. Clearly, your plan has worked.」

As your group of six enters the bank, your strange and mismatched appearances immediately draw the attention of the guards. The man in the lead steps forward, demanding to know your identities and issuing a threat.
