Chapter 339 - 209 Ostrich Liu Tingruo?_2
Chapter 339: Chapter 209 Ostrich Liu Tingruo?_2Jiang Shu lay on the bed, his gaze directed towards Sister Liu Tingruo, but because she stood too close to the bed, combined with the angle, he couldn’t see her face. There were two obvious obstructions between their eyes, so he said helplessly, ”Why don’t you bring a stool over and sit down to talk? I can’t see your face this way.”

It was probably...

Like the peak of human beauty when a woman lowers her head and can’t see her toes.

Yes, that’s the flavor, but it’s definitely not the belly or any other strange thing.

”Hm?” Liu Tingruo seemed to realize this as well, so she cleared her throat, stood sideways, and said, ”Don’t mess around when we’re talking business.”

”Ha, you know you can just ask Xiaowu to measure the temperature directly, why go through all this? You just want to get close to me, I’m just obliging,” Jiang Shu replied with dead fish eyes and an indifferent tone, disdainfully curling his lips, then added, ”And I don’t have mind-reading abilities, understanding you at this level doesn’t require unconventional methods.”

There was a moment of silence.

Instantly, a change came across Liu Tingruo’s previously domineering face. Her neck turned red, blushing up to her cheeks, like cherry blossoms spreading rapidly, illustrating precisely what being flushed meant.

And the sight of Sister Liu Tingruo seemed like cherry blossom liquor being brewed, exuding an intoxicating aroma.

But Sister Liu Tingruo was still Sister Liu Tingruo, as she pulled out that edited bedroom scene video again.

In less than half a minute, she regained her composure, and said coldly, ”I can’t figure out what’s causing this. You’d better check yourself into a hospital.”

”Right, I understand,” Jiang Shu replied, then flipped off the bed, but his brisk movement instantly made Liu Tingruo frown. So, he slowed down his movements immediately—”Is the new product release outside about to end?”

”Yeah, about fifteen minutes left,” Liu Tingruo glanced at the time again, ”Why, are you leaving?”

”Almost,” Jiang Shu smiled, ”I was actually thinking of taking you with me this time, but it seems we shouldn’t alert anyone prematurely.”

”What happened?” Liu Tingruo was evidently more interested in what he meant by alerting people, seemingly not caring why Jiang Shu wanted to take her away, nor where to or for how long.

Hearing the trust in her words, Jiang Shu replied, ”If you left with me now, Tang would definitely become suspicious. Once he notices, it would be hard for me to predict his next move.”

”I understand,” Liu Tingruo nodded, but she continued, ”But that means you can’t show up in the Fifth District because if you come, you’ll definitely have to take me with you, and that will still alert them.”

Jiang Shu stroked his chin, finding her words reasonable, a reminder to him indeed.

Tang was a meticulous person, and drawing him out would require more careful planning.

”I’ve already dealt with the traces of you and that person around you in the Fifth District; you should be more careful from now on,” Liu Tingruo said earnestly, ”This is the Fifth District, the Dick Family’s influence is massive here, and that includes Tang as well as the collateral branches, so be careful.”

”I understand,” Jiang Shu agreed, then recalling something he had heard a long time ago, he asked, ”Can you tell me what these people are actually planning to do? Like this new ’Black Wall’ thing?”

”Um,” Liu Tingruo agreed without hesitation, ”I only know about Tang’s intentions; I wasn’t informed about the collateral branches’ ’New Black Wall’ project during its planning and development stages. That aspect of the research was overseen by their chief scientist, Diller Dick.”

She continued, ”Afterwards, they were assigned by Tang to another experimental area, so I didn’t have much opportunity to learn more, but I’m aware of the basic strategy. Use the ’New Black Wall’ to make Fifth District independent, use artificial intelligence and new mechas to suppress the power of the major groups in the region, and then take the throne.”

”Can the Dick Family really defeat the armies of the Three Major Groups?” Jiang Shu was puzzled.

”Perhaps, the probability of victory isn’t low. After all, this is Fifth District, the place with the least influence of the Three Major Groups. Those branches aren’t fools; they wouldn’t make moves without any assurance,” Liu Tingruo elaborated, ”As for Tang, he wants to use the artificial intelligence ’Shu Bao’ to control everything, then implement large-scale surveillance, along with advanced methods of investigation using intelligent bionic robots, and govern the society through firmer methods.”

”Intelligent bionic robots?” Jiang Shu repeated, then something clicked in his mind, ”The kind made using Creation technologies, like Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Ding?”

”Right,” Liu Tingruo nodded.

”A robot modeled after Tang?” Jiang Shu asked again.

”I’m not sure what it looks like, that was Tang’s own decision.” Liu Tingruo found it strange, so she countered, ”Have you seen one?”

”Yes, if there are quite a few of these robots, Sister Tingruo, you’ve really given me a tough problem,” Jiang Shu said with a wry smile.

However, he also knew that this matter itself was not related to Sister Tingruo after all, as she had no idea that she and Tang were on such confrontational terms.

Jiang Shu asked, ”Approximately how many such bionic robots does Tang have?”

”There should be three,” Liu Tingruo said, ”To achieve the same effect as you and Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, a large amount of Black Silver is needed. They don’t know exactly what metal I exchanged the Black Silver for, so they can’t duplicate these intelligent robots. However, Tang is very strict with these few things, I originally wanted to leave some backdoor programs.”

”So did you leave them?” Jiang Shu, seeing her like this, felt anticipation.

”I did, Tang wouldn’t know anyways, his intelligent robots aren’t savvy enough either,” Liu Tingruo smiled. ”I can hand over the backdoor code to Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and they will know how to use it. But I must remind you, Tang might not fully trust those mechanical lives.”

”I understand,” Jiang Shu replied, ”Then do you know where Tang’s real body is? Since the Thirteen District incident, I have only been able to meet the mechanical version of Tang.”

”I’m not sure about that either.” Just as Jiang Shu expected, Liu Tingruo wouldn’t know. Her eyes betrayed her helplessness, ”I only know that he has a firewall system which even with my computing skills, I can’t breach, since I’m not a professional hacker, just an amateur.”

”Alright, alright, we know Sister Tingruo is clever,” Jiang Shu twitched his mouth and stopped Liu Tingruo’s bragging.

Since there were backdoor programs, this was good news; he also considered himself equipped to retaliate against Tang, yet Tang would never be an easy opponent.

Furthermore, he had heard from Diller Dick about the ”New Black Wall” plan, which was supposed to be initiated between the end of this year and the beginning of next. Now that Sister Tingruo wasn’t helping them anymore, the timeline was likely to be delayed, or even fail to launch.

”Then, take care of yourself too,” Jiang Shu said to the woman in front of him with a smile, ”Don’t give me a chance to play the hero.”

”What are you thinking? I’m safer than you,” Liu Tingruo looked incredulous, ”Are you doubting the strength of the Star Research Sequence?”

Seemingly in response to Liu Tingruo’s call, corners of the laboratory started launching several metal parts one after another. They rapidly attached to Liu Tingruo’s body, evolving and transforming swiftly into a lightweight mecha.

Though it was called a lightweight mecha, it bore no relation to a female version of Iron Man.

In front of him appeared a pure white, egg-shaped mecha, smooth like a polished egg, and in the center of this egg was a logo, a black owl image, identical to the small tattoo on Liu Tingruo’s body.

Jiang Shu: ”...”

What is this?

He instantly remembered the fireproof, explosion-proof egg-form suit that Kirie had prepared for Wolf.

This thing clearly looked defensive, so this was the Star Research Sequence?

Ostrich...

Ostrich egg strategy?

The next second, a door opened in the egg-shaped chamber, a hand reached out from inside grabbing Jiang Shu’s clothes, and suddenly pulled him into the cramped space.

Hmm?
