Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1464: Making a Lavish Purchase

[Alchemy Tower]

”Damn it. Another wasted effort,” Kent cursed, frustration bubbling in his heart, eyes, and face.

He slammed the side of the cauldron, sending the lid flying.

Then, from within, a 98% pure Tier 14 Bone Hardening Pill appeared. He grabbed it, and after a few observations, he threw it into his space ring and walked out of the Pill Room.

There was no need to put it in a pill bottle, since it would be wasted.

He stretched for a few minutes, then he vanished into the Harem Tower to take his bath before heading out again.

It had already been eight days since he entered the Alchemy Tower, which is just 8 hours on the outside.

The past 8 days have been him working hard to make a pure Tier 14 pill. However, even after over 24 different sets of concoctions, he had yet to concoct a pure Tier 14 Pill.

He had progressed much more easily with Tier 13.

However, Tier 14 was dragging him to the point where he started to wonder if he could even handle it.

While he understood that Tier 14 Pills are basically the peak of pill making in a High World, the mere fact that he had been struggling with it baffled him.

It felt like he had not made much progress, despite gaining recognition from the Pill Dao. Naturally, it was because of the insight he had gotten from the Pill Dao that enabled him to even score 98% purity.

Even so, he still had a long way to go, and the constant failure was not helping at all.

However, since his days were over, he had to return to Planet Brymrr to continue his mission. His next agenda was to find the Green Ice Restaurant and finally meet the Bimk guy that Randel said could help him.

For now, he had to know more about the world before he made any rash decisions.

After freshening up, he harnesses the power of the marker he left in the hotel room. The moment he appeared, a knock landed on the door.

He first used the soul map to confirm who knocked before opening it. He was in a world populated by beings far beyond his level, so he had to be extra careful.

Luckily, it turned out the one who knocked was merely a worker who came to clean the room. Since he would be checking out, he let the cleaner in and left to check out at the reception.

”Come back again, Mr. Jaqen,” the lady at the gate said when he stepped out.

Kent nodded and soon walked away, heading deeper into the city.

Aside from looking for the Green Ice Restaurant, he also knew he had to find information as he moved, so he kept the soul map active, listening to every small thing said within an 80,000 km radius.

Unfortunately, even after one hour, nothing of interest was said, so he decided to ask someone for directions.

He approached a jewelry store that sold earrings, bracelets, and similar items. It isn’t that grand, so he figured he would ask the seller.

”Welcome to the Everyday Jewelry Shop,” a young lady said, approaching Kent the moment he stepped into the store. Looking at the polite smile on her face, Kent knew he had to purchase something before asking his question.

There was no way she would maintain the same smile if she found out he had only entered the store to ask for directions. Thankfully, he had more than enough spirit stones to use and wives to buy gifts for.

Even if he was out of cash, he could just cash out his earnings after becoming a partner of the Brown Maple Auction Empire.

Three hundred thousand years ago, he bought a 2% share in the auction house, then known as the Brown Maple Auction House.

Now, it had become the Brown Maple Auction Empire, and after 300,000 years, who knew how much he had made?

”Hi, I want to buy necklaces for my sweetheart waiting for me back home,” Kent said with a smile, making sure the lady knew he wasn’t the kind who liked to waste time.

As expected, she lit up with joy when she heard him. She was smart enough to know Kent wanted to buy more than one, merely from what he said.

”Please enter.”

Kent entered the store, following her.

It was after he entered that he saw the kind of space he was in. While on the outside it appeared like a small store, the inside is rather vast and extremely lavish.

It appeared to be a pocket dimension of some kind.

There are other sellers and quite a lot of buyers. This made Kent aware of where all the smiles came from when he was approached by the lady.

She is a seller, so when she makes a sale, she gets a commission.

”Can I get you anything to drink?” she further offered, to which Kent shook his head. He understood she merely wanted to make sales, so she was being extra hospitable.

This made him remember Veth, whom he had met 300,000 years ago while roaming the Pill World.

”What is your name?” Kent asked.

”Lia.”

”Well, Lia, my name is Jaqen. This is my first time in Snow City and my first time in any store, so if possible, help me purchase some necklaces for some people who would very much appreciate them.”

Lia smiled and nodded. ”Sure. We have all kinds of jewelry, ranging from 100,000 to the millions. Of course, if your pocket is deep enough and can fork out a billion plus, we have some classic ones that would most certainly bring smiles to the faces of whoever you will be buying them for.”

”Sounds like a good plan. Why don’t we head to the billion section instead?”

Lia narrowed her eyes for a moment, then nodded and started leading Kent toward a VIP section where only one person could be seen looking through the display.

As they headed there, the other sellers and buyers couldn’t help but shake their heads in contempt. In their heads, a Heavenly Ascension Stage cultivator—especially one with no guard—had no business looking at a billion jewelry displays.

Even walking behind Lia, Kent could tell she was of the same mindset. However, he said nothing and followed her there.

When they reached the VIP section, fewer than 40 necklaces were on display, each with a beautiful design that would undoubtedly make any lady happy.

Kent wanted to buy necklaces as gifts for his wives, so buying high-quality ones made the most sense.

After spending a few minutes looking through the display, he pointed at 26 necklaces. ”Package them for me, would you?”

For a moment, everyone inside the store froze.

”Are you sure?” Lia asked, a bit skeptical.

”I am dead serious, dear.” Kent took a few steps back and sat in a chair. He lifted his right leg and placed it on his left. ”Of course, if you want one, I don’t mind making it 27. You can pick anyone you want.

Afterward, go to the bracelets section and pick 20 bracelets for children.”

Lia remained standing for a few minutes before nodding and starting to package the goods. Seeing this, Kent smiled, retrieved a spirit fruit, and began eating, oblivious to the stunned expressions on everyone’s faces.

Before entering the store, he had no plan to spend more than a billion. However, meeting Lia made him remember the kind of backing he has.

While at the moment he is no different from a mortal, he is affiliated with the Brown Maple Auction Empire and Dream Pill Emporium.

These are some of the most powerful businesses in the universe now. If he wants, he can reveal he is from there, and not many will bother him.

This will eliminate all unnecessary trouble, at least while in Snow City.

So he made a big purchase, and when his total came, he let out a smile and retrieved the bank card Lady Wu gave him.
