Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1454: Offering His Help

Although he never planned on making such a big promise, Kent knew deep down that it was the only chance he had to secure his safety and leave the forest early. He needed to at least take the danger off his back first.

So he said what he had to say and hoped for the best.

As expected, the Western Queen entered a state of contemplation that lasted five minutes. Once she made up her mind, she took a deep breath and pulled the dagger away.

”Go ahead. Your next couple of words will determine if I will let you live or die.”

”That is all I asked for.” Kent shook off the pressure she placed on him when her dagger was held firmly against his neck. Once he recovered, he asked,

”What is the grade of your Spirit Root?”

”Immortal grade,” she answered, her gaze narrowing slightly

”How about your soul tier?”

”Tier 28.”

”That is akin to an Emperor, huh? Not too bad for a non-soul cultivator.” He was genuinely impressed to hear that she had reached Tier 28 in soul cultivation.

That is not something those who aren’t cultivating their soul can easily achieve. In fact, at the Immortal stages, it takes several years to move between tiers, so her being Tier 28 is actually impressive.

”What about body cultivation?”

”Peak Sage Body.”

”Wow. You are more impressive than I thought. This will make things much easier for me.” Once again, her body cultivation was far ahead of what he expected. She had even reached the level of his wives.

They all had reached the Sage Body or higher thanks to the resources the tower had to offer. Even he wouldn’t have heard of some of the body-tempering treasures if it weren’t for his wives exploring the tower shop whenever they wanted to temper their bodies.

So, for someone having no such treasures to reach the Sage body, she might have worked hard for it.

”I have to be honest with you. If you had tried taking the Bloodline Ascension Pill with these qualities that you have just told me, your success rate would have been below 30%.

Of course, you have decent soul cultivation and body cultivation. However, when it comes to Spirit Root, you are still lacking. Becoming a demigod is not as simple as becoming an Immortal.

It takes three things to become a god. First is the Spirit Root. You need a high-grade Spirit Root to cultivate divine essence.

At the demigod stage, you learn how to wield divine essence, which, if mastered, would finally allow you to form your Law and become a god. So you will need a high-tier spirit root to wield divine Qi.

The second is soul cultivation. The soul of an Immortal is not the same as the soul of a god. A god has a law-governed soul, so at the demigod stage, one is required to nurture their soul to the point it can handle their Law.

A weaker soul would break under such pressure.

The last is body cultivation. The body of a god is the most precious thing about any god. If a god were to die now, as an alchemist, I could extract so many valuable things from them and use them to make powerful pills.

A body cultivator can even refine such a body and use the essence to refine their own body. One thing to note, a powerful body at the demigod stage means a powerful god body.

I am telling you these things because to become a demigod, you need to be at least Tier 29 in soul cultivation, have a Nirvana Body, and possess an Immortal-grade Spirit Root.

You already qualify in Spirit Root, so you have to handle body and soul. Luckily for you, I have a way to increase your soul and body cultivation. I will even throw in a bonus by helping you get a God-grade Spirit Root.

This way, your focus shouldn’t be solely on the demigod stage. You must see much deeper”

Kent made sure all openings were covered before he turned to face the Western Queen. ”So what do you think? Do you want to trust me, or do we go back to you trying to kill me?”

She stood there for a great period of time before she nodded.

”All you said is how to give me a better chance at becoming a demigod, not actually how to become one.”

”Oh, that is the easiest part of all,” he laughed. ”By the time you reach these requirements, I will be ready to concoct a good Bloodline Ascension Pill.”

”How can I trust you aren’t just trying to save your neck? For all I know, being sent by a Peak Immortal Lord and a Pseudo-Demigod can make you say just about anything to save yourself.”

While Kent felt foolish for not seeing through the Eastern Queen’s scheme, he had now been enlightened, and so he would pay her back in full.

He is vengeful by nature, so before leaving, he will get his revenge. This is why he even wants to make sure he leaves on good terms with the Western Queen.

”I have to admit I was fooled by her. However, in my defense, I was indeed trying to protect my neck. I may be strong, but without enough time to prepare, killing an Immortal Lord is beyond me.

However, now that I have time to prepare, they will soon be dead. I can promise you that. As for helping you, I just want a safe passage to the human cities.

As I said before, I ended up here by accident, so I would like to leave as soon as possible.

So I guess the question now should be, are you willing to trust me? I wouldn’t just be helping you become a demigod one day, but I would also be taking care of two powerful threats.”

In the end, she had no reason to doubt him. Kent had already made a name for himself, so she decided to trust him.

If he turns out to be a fake, that would be her loss for trusting the wrong person.

”I will trust you, but you must prove you are speaking the truth by giving me the method first. Once I confirm you are telling the truth, I will let you go.”

”Oh, that is simple then.” Kent extended his hand, and a fruit appeared in it. ”Here you go. Just eat this, and your Spirit Root will upgrade to the God Grade.”

The Western Queen looked at him from head to toe as if trying to say she was not falling for his scheme. Seeing this, Kent took a bite out of the fruit and produced another one.

”I can take another bite, but that will defeat the purpose of the fruit. Just a small bite takes a large part of the essence with it.”

This time, she only hesitated for a minute before she nodded and took it. ”Go ahead, eat it.”

After a few seconds of hesitating yet again, she took a bite out of the fruit. When she tasted the essence, her eyes widened.

”Eat it all, dear. You never know when good things will come your way.”

While eating, she could literally feel her Spirit Root growing stronger by the second. It was unreal, but feeling her own strength rise made her lower her guard.

If Kent wanted, he could attack and severely injure her. However, seeing her experience what just about anyone else experienced when they took the Ambrosia Apple, he just smiled.

It took a couple of hours after eating, but she climbed to the God Grade. Once that happened, her attitude toward Kent changed completely.
