Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1026: A Terror Met Its Terror [Bonus]

CLANG

The sound of metal striking another metal spread out as Kent struck the rincage of the Damned Bone Fish...

”This bastard is tough,” Kent said as he moved back and unleashed a ’Rapid Slash’, sending 450 sword arcs at the bone fish...

[Bone fishes are naturally hard. So one that has been in the Damned Hell Sea and tempered its body by the hell flames for millions of years, as you can see, is rather tough. I have no doubt its true realm is already at the immortal stage.]

”Just great”

Kent didn’t seem to care, but distanced himself from the Damned Bone Fish, only for three bone spears to arrive before him.

However, he used his sword to block two and dodge the third before teleporting away, allowing the two he blocked to move away.

However, just when he appeared 300 meters away, he saw the Bone Fish restructure its body, shifting from a True Bone Fish to a demi-bone fish.

It grew legs, and what is even more disturbing is the fact that the six arms, now made of bone, were holding spears.

[Oh, one thing I forgot to tell you is that this Bone Fish can change its body structure and take any form it wants. In a way, they can shapeshift.]

”More context next time, Gaap.”

Kent didn’t have time to breathe as the bone-headed fish appeared before him with all six spears raised.

It slashed with two hands and stabbed with four, giving Kent a rather complicated combination of attacks. However, he teleported away only for the Damned Bone fish to close in again.

[They can also teleport...just so you know]

”Annoying”

The void opened behind the Damned Bone Fish, and hundreds of sword arcs flashed out, causing it to abandon its attack to block them.

”Oh, you don’t.” Kent moved back and brandished his sword. He channeled Blood Sword aura, causing it to glow red.

Then, with a powerful swing, a 30-meter-long sword arc flashed out.

The sea was cut open, and the Damned Bone Fish, whose attention was on the sword arcs, felt a much more dangerous attack come from the annoying human whom it thought it could use as an afternoon snack, maybe an evening dessert.

Now, as it looks, it was rather going to be the snack...

And as a beast with more killing intent than intelligence, it was torn between which attack to defend.

Ignoring the hundreds of tiny ones would be trouble, just as ignoring the bigger sword arcs could also prove deadly.

”Oh, but who said you only have two problems to worry about?” Time seemed to slow down as Kent moved with his 20,000 flame veins powering his speed.

SLASH SLASH SLASH

Three more red sword arcs, not weaker than the second sword arc, flashed out, and the space around them trembled.

[Damn... That is overkill.]

The Damned Bone Fish may be fast, but with 20,000 flame veins and the flame wheel, it couldn’t match the speed of the sword arcs.

BOOM

In the end, all four sword arcs landed, with the smaller arcs getting destroyed by the shockwave. When the dust settled, Kent saw the Damned Bone Fish had lost four arms, probably from using them to shield itself from the four deadly attacks.

But that wasn’t all, its ribcage was caved in, a large chunk of its head was missing, and one leg was broken.

It would probably need a minute to restore itself. However, that was just too long a time for Kent to handle it.

”Annihilation sword strike.” He raised his sword up and, with a mighty slash, the sea was parted again, and this time, as the 5th red sword arc appeared, the pitiful terror of the outer layer of the Damned Hell Sea was severed in half.

[Even a Terror has its terror.] Gaap couldn’t help praising Kent for how he efficiently handled the Damned Bone Fish.

True, the bastard was more powerful than any opponent Kent had faced so far. However, that didn’t change the fact that he had also become much stronger.

However, what was even more shocking was the fact that without even using all his flame veins or even a sliver of his bloodline, Kent was able to take down such a powerful foe.

[Your sword aura is strange, much more powerful than a regular sword aura.]

”That is because it is not an ordinary sword aura. Mine is a mutation of Blood Aura and Sword Aura. It is several times stronger than a sword aura.”

[I see. In any case, you are much more abnormal compared to the many monsters I met back in the day. However, you will need more than this to handle the dangers waiting for us deep down there.]

Kent looked deep into the Damned Hell Sea and smiled, ”That is the plan. For now, we should find a place to absorb our gains.

The only reason I needed less of my flame veins was because of the Blood Essence I absorbed before we began this journey.

If we want to have a smoother ride, then we must become much stronger.”

[True. In that case, we should be on our way.]

Kent waved his hand, and the six bone spears flew toward him. After a quick examination, he put them away in his space ring.

The Blood Essence had already been taken by the sword and stored inside his soul universe, where the other thousands of Blood Essences from the massacre he and Gaap had committed these past two months were stored.

They soon left the scene and started heading deeper.

To many, after reaching the Core Formation stage or the Heavenly Ascension stage, their growth stagnates, compelling them to ascend to a much higher world to continue their growth.

However, to Kent, he still had many ways to keep growing without having to ascend.

Of course, if he were to ascend and break through to the Spirit Ascension stage, then it is safe to say his strength would explode, taking him to a completely different level.

Kent’s plan now was to cement his foundation so that when he started advancing rapidly through the next Phase, he wouldn’t have anything to worry about.

After a week, they came to a stop before a mountain with a large cave.

[Looks like this is where that Damned Bone Fish came from,] Gaap said, and Kent couldn’t agree more.

There were tracks of bones scratching the ground, showing that something bony lived there.

Of course, knowing his Soul Map wasn’t capturing the threats as quickly as before, Kent had to move much closer to determine if it was indeed empty. After checking, he let Gaap inside.

Kent suspected that the Soul Map works based on the power of his soul universe. And since his soul universe was only Tier 16, he started to see the limitations.

This could only mean he must ascend quickly, since to break past the Tier 16 soul cultivation stage, he must become a Spirit King first.

Gaap, transformed into his human form, sat in lotus posture and started absorbing the Resentful Blood Essence he had collected.

Kent also moved back, and with a wave of his hand, 407,900 Blood Essences appeared, surrounding him and illuminating his surroundings in a golden hue.

”This should be enough to take me to somewhere between 80–90%,” Kent said, watching the golden Blood Essence surrounding him.

He hadn’t yet touched his Blood Core Gate, but he could tell he would need at least this much to successfully form that.

However, before he attempted that, he first wanted to undergo his first blood cleansing, and to do that, he had to fully cultivate the first form of the Primal Body Tempering Art.

”One thing at a time, I guess,” he closed his eyes and formed a hand seal, causing the Blood Essences to start moving into his forehead.

His aura started to surge...
