Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1012: Portal Opening

Back when Vexthra pried too deeply into Kent’s past, she triggered a Karmic Backlash that was meant to kill her. But Kent took it upon himself to give her his good karma in exchange for her good life.

However, while it worked and Vexthra was spared, the rule of Karma deemed Kent too precious to die in her stead, so they compromised.

The rules allowed him to maintain his good Karma but also Vexthra’s bad Karma, which he would have to pay for in the future.

From that day onward, Kent had been waiting for Lord Karma to call.

However, the call never came until a few minutes ago.

When they arrived on the platform, Kent lost consciousness for a second. However, within that second, he spent 10 minutes with someone who called himself Lord Karma.

According to him, every Karma in life is a result of his actions. He is in charge of determining who deserves good Karma and who deserves Karma in return.

Kent saw it as weird, but he said nothing.

However, Lord Karma informed him that the time for him to pay for Vexthra’s Karma had come. Naturally, Kent wasn’t ready, so he bargained.

Perhaps due to coincidence, the lady who was killed by Pill Monarch Jackson’s disciple 75 years ago had good Karma to her name.

So to repay what was owed to him, he asked Kent to exact revenge in his stead, and, depending on how satisfied he was, he would grant Kent an extension on when he would have to pay for Vexthra’s Karma.

Kent accepted the offer, meaning that, regardless of what happened, Kent was prepared to kill two people. Thankfully, Pill Monarch Jackson created an environment that allowed him to look cool while killing him.

He managed to buy himself five years in the end.

Now, he can focus on growing stronger because in five years, Lord Karma will come knocking again, and there will be no extension next time.

’Change of plans: after I go back and take part in the Interplanetary Sect competition, I will ascend to a High World. Time for me to move past the Core formation stage.’

He scared many people... That much is true. However, he had to do that to win some brownie points from Lord Karma.

According to him, the more dramatic the kill, the more time he got.

Naturally, Kent was born for drama, so he went for it, and he managed to secure himself some more time.

Initially, he was planning on giving his ladies and the legion the time until they couldn’t climb the floors of the dungeon anymore before ascending. However, now, he knew he had to forgo that plan.

’I will use Alchemy to help them. After all, with the kind of pill recipes I have, it is only a matter of time before I start making heavenly pills.’

---

Three hours later, a fluctuation appeared at the center of the platform, drawing everyone’s attention.

Kent opened his eyes and stood up.

He looked toward the center of the platform and saw the space there warping.

’The gate is opening.’

Like everyone else, he also thought that. His focus was rooted in the shifts in the air. He didn’t even notice the thousands of eyes looking at him.

Five minutes later, the space shifted, and two large pillars came from the ground. They stood tall, and within them, a green portal formed, exuding a distinct aura that, when Kent felt it, caused his expression to shift.

’This is not the Aura of the Primordial Era; however, it is of the Divine Era.’ Instinctively, he knew which era the aura came from. In fact, his very being was filled with excitement as he gazed at the green portal.

’I have lived during the Divine Era, that much is true. But I don’t yet know which kind of existence I was in back then.’

Kent sighed, then asked Pill Monarch Nefeli a question using the soul map.

’Big sister, what can you tell me about the Divine Era?’

The beautiful Nefeli blinked a few times, not expecting Kent to ask such a question. However, she seemed to connect the dots quickly...

’Do you think the Pill Ascension Realm came from that Era?’ she asked...

’It is a working theory. But yes. I believe it is from that Era, and hopefully, I might learn something from your answer.’

’I don’t know much. However, from what I know, the Divine Era followed immediately after the Chaos Era.

Of course, many people are unaware of this, but the Chaos Era was largely a response to the aftermath of the Great War during the Primordial Era.

Immediately after the Chaos Era, a more peaceful and relaxing Era emerged, where gods rose and ascended, bringing order to the Universe.

It was a peaceful Era to some degree; however, it also had its dangers.’

’I see. Then, can you tell me some notable people who rose through that Era and what they were known for?’

Kent wasn’t looking to learn more about himself; he just wanted to learn more about the Era he felt some form of familiarity with.

’Now that you mention it, I believe your theory about the Pill Ascension Realm being from the Divine Era might just be correct.’

’How so?’ Kent felt happy hearing this.

’Because the first ever to ascend to the ranks of a Pill Celestial was from that Era. It was through him that Alchemy developed to the stage it is now.’

’Do you know his name?’ Kent held his breath as he waited for an answer...

’From the records I read, he was called many names, and he had many titles. However, the most common name I saw was Pill Celestial Kevin Sage.’

Kent’s body shuddered at the sound of a familiar name.

When Vexthra sent him to Sonox, the pill records he received were from a person called Pill Celestial Kevin Sage.

Initially, Kent didn’t put much thought into the name. However, when he began receiving memories of his life as Jest (Lord Genesis), he couldn’t help but wonder if he was, in fact, the Pill Celestial who was the first to reach the Pinnacle of Alchemy.

’I mean, it is no coincidence I have the Pill Records from him. And while Nana intentionally said nothing about the name of her master in the past, I believe my theory might just be true...

’In that case, Kevin Sage, or whoever your name is, please have some relationship with this Pill Ascension Realm. It would be nice to learn more about my peaceful past.’

’Thank you, Big sister,’ Kent transmitted, and Pill Monarch Nefeli nodded.

’Just be careful when you go in there. There are a lot of people who want you dead, so watch your back.’

Kent smiled, ’I will do as you say, Big sister.’

A couple of minutes later, the portal completely formed, and a pillar marked with two colors appeared through the portal.

The bottom part was silver, and the upper had a golden hue.

A voice then came from within the portal. ”Channel your soul energy into the Soul Pillar. All who reached the Golden Soul barrier will be allowed entry.”

The words were simple and easily understood.

Right when it faded, a Pill Legend from the Solaryn Pill Alliance appeared above the soul pillar.

”As we all know, the order in which we take the trial will be based on the rank of our respective Pill Alliances. Now, the first-rank Pill Alliance should start.”

The Solaryn Pill Alliance qualified disciples stepped forward, and soon, the trial to enter the Pill Ascension Realm began.
