Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 956: Decisive Decision, Reward

What Kent did was merely buy himself some time to prepare before starting the main quest.

He was meant to kill some powerful people, which, from what he had learned so far, would require him to face a large army.

First of all, he knew he had to prepare adequately, for that is the only way he would be able to complete the quest and go back home.

The second is merely him making sure the Heaven’s Eye Sect wasn’t suddenly razed down while he was away.

Everybody at this point knew the Heaven’s Eye Sect bought one Soul Spirit, and while others wouldn’t dare come for it, knowing they wouldn’t be able to enter the sect thanks to the formation protecting it, there was one person who would dare try.

The sect also knew these people wouldn’t pose a threat to them. However, the Planet King is different. His influence is known by all, and because of that, giving them the Soul Spirit was more like taking a strategic retreat.

Only that this retreat was on Kent’s terms.

He had made a decisive decision, and that didn’t escape the eyes of the universe.

However, now looking at the Soul Spirits hovering in the air, Kent couldn’t help but smile, telling the ladies that they shouldn’t worry.

”Take this as an upgrade from the previous ones you had, and as your future husband and son-in-law, I am even willing to give you both one each. This way, when I am away, I can rest assured no harm will come to you both.”

Kent smiled in his seat, looking at the two ladies who couldn’t handle what they were seeing.

There was one thing to own a Tier 18 Soul Spirit and another to own a Tier 19 one. The fact that Kent even has Tier 18 was already shocking.

However, he now has Tier 19, and there are five of them, each from a race that promises a soul puppet will keep growing by devouring the souls of those it slays.

If that isn’t enough to make anyone turn pale from shock, then perhaps the word shock doesn’t exist.

Lady Kami looked in Kent’s direction and wondered, ’Just how powerful is he to have the soul power to sever the underworld connection with Tier 19 Soul Spirits and take possession of them?’

Throughout history, many soul masters have risen to prominence, with some even transcending their own limitations. However, all of them could attest to the fact that taking possession of Soul Spirits is something extremely difficult.

Most at best can take possession of one Tier 19 Soul Spirit, but they themselves may either have the same cultivation as the Soul Spirit or soul strength either higher or the same as the Soul Spirit.

Of course, a few exceptions came to pass with the Soul Monarch, even rumoured to possess an uncanny ability to claim even reincarnation souls and claim any Soul Spirit they wish to have.

However, the collective thought in the field of Soul Refining says that to possess ownership of a soul, one must have powerful soul strength.

This means that a Core Formation expert had no business possessing five Tier 19 Soul Spirits.

’Don’t tell me he has soul strength higher than Tier 19.’ She wiped this thought out of her mind. Even though she has a cultivation base of peak Tier 19 (Heavenly Ascension), her soul strength is only at Tier 18.

Kent was only at Tier 16. However, Kent is immune to soul attacks, and that factor influences many of the things he can do. However, none of that was the reason why he was able to take possession of this many powerful Soul Spirits.

’Mom, I think we should form a good relationship with this kid. He is not only resourceful but also very strong. I even feel like if I were to fight him, I will lose, and the worst part, his fate is something not even gods can read.’

Lady Azela said to her mother, who nodded.

’Indeed. Combat-wise, I can handle him, but when I tried reading his fate, something or someone extremely powerful warned me not to court death.

I believe he is someone with extremely good Karma. Aligning ourselves with him will be beneficial for us, especially during these challenging times.’

Lady Kami looked at her daughter, who also looked back at her. There was an unspoken agreement.

”Azela, take that one. I will take this one.” Lady Azela pointed at one of the Soul Spirits, which was the leader of the Forsaken Race that attacked Planet Sonox.

She was the strongest of them. Naturally, Lady Kami gave that one to her daughter, and she picked the second strongest.

Kent smiled and waved the Soul Flag, taking back the three Soul Spirits. He waved it again, and four Tier 18 soul spirits appeared.

”I don’t know what goes into refining Soul Puppets, but since souls are fragile, take this four as a down payment for the dowry I will be paying for your daughter’s hand in marriage in the future.”

Kent smiled and stood up, walking to one corner of the room and sat down. He then accessed the Tower System.

When he sent the Soul Spirit away with his new puppets, Kent heard two ding sounds in his head, causing him to wonder just what had happened.

The sound was the same as the one heard whenever he received a quest.

So Kent decided to check it out.

⟪You have an update on your quest⟫

⟪You have made a decisive decision that would save thousands of souls. Because of this, the Universe deems it okay to award you early⟫

⟪The Taming Bracelet has been released and is now inside your soul universe⟫

’Well, that is not expected but a welcome surprise.’ Kent smiled, taking out a golden metallic bracelet from his space ring.

’This looks familiar.’ Right when Kent’s eyes landed on the bracelet, he felt a sense of déjà vu. It was like he had held this bracelet before, but for as long as he could recall, this was the first time he was holding this bracelet.

Nonetheless, he slapped it on his wrist, causing a wave of information about how to use it to pour into his mind.

’Very convenient.’ Kent smiled happily, causing the still-in-shock mother and daughter to wonder what he was smiling about.

Kent didn’t even pay attention to them. ’With this, I can tame even Heaven Ascension stage beasts and higher.’

Kent was happy, but he quickly checked the second message.

⟪Update: Sword Sage Requirement Updated⟫

⟪Due to unexpected circumstances, the uncompleted Sword Sage requirements have been updated. To become a Sword Sage, you must complete the following requirement⟫

↠ Single-handedly kill the so-called Planet King in a one-on-one battle. You can use any means to kill him as long as it is a one-on-one battle.

’Only one, but why do I feel like this one will be several times more difficult than when I killed the Wandering Demon Swordsman?’

Kent didn’t know if this was a good thing or a bad one. However, he is now happy to know the road to becoming a Sword Sage was just a few sword strikes away.

If he managed to kill this bastard, he would become a Sword Sage, meaning he would be a step closer to reaching the Sword King stage. He can then ascend to a high world.

’I might as well use this time to absorb the Jade Token and upgrade my Enchanted Eye and the Sword Gaze.’

Kent retrieved the Jade Token and pressed it against his forehead. In an instant, he was enveloped in a nourishing sensation that transported his mind to the realm of enlightenment.
