Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 614: Their Decision and The Odds

The new face in the hall was that of a woman whose hair was also white like Princess Arien’s, and judging by her impeccable, clean-cut bone structure, one wouldn’t need a genie to see that she was the queen.

”This is Queen Amorian, my wife. She was in seclusion when you arrived two days ago,” King Hkum instructed his wife the moment Kent and his people sat down.

’A Spirit Emperor, huh?’ Kent recognized her aura, making him pay much closer attention to her. That was when he found out she was also a Sword Emperor.

’This lady is dangerous.’

As a swordsman, he could recognize the aura around her, and that sent chills down his spine. However, he was the chaos dragon, so why fear when you can go with the flow?

”Nice to meet you, Queen Amorian. I am Kent Madson... This is my uncle, Sword King Shawn.” Since the Foxkins already knew Sword King Shawn’s identity, he didn’t hide it.

As expected, the Queen’s attention turned to Sword King Shawn as if she were gauging his strength. After a whole minute, a smile tugged at her lips.

”You weren’t exaggerating, dear. He really is powerful,” Queen Amorian said, making Kent smile. However, the next second, the queen turned to him.

”I can tell you are also a swordsman. However, I can’t measure your true strength despite being only a Sword Grandmaster. This can be due to two things.

First, maybe your foundation is unstable, so your energy is not quantified.

The second being, your current understanding of the sword is too vast, too vast that your sword stage doesn’t have the means to measure your true strength.

So which one is it?”

Kent smiled, hearing her accurate take on his current understanding of his sword comprehension level.

His understanding of the sword was indeed very vast. This was due to Jest’s memories. Jest was a sword saint when he reviewed his memories the last time.

However, while that didn’t seem like much, his meeting the Sword Dao was something that affected even Kent so much that his understanding expanded vastly.

But while that was a factor, the second came into play when he bestowed the true name on Vexthra.

When he passed out, his consciousness was pulled into a realm where, aside from a rather large and tall sword hanging in the air, nothing else was in sight.

He didn’t know why he was pulled there or what to do, so all he could do was sit and stare at the sword. However, a few days into the staring contest, he started to notice something.

First, it was faint, but he saw the most concentrated form of sword aura, which later manifested into sword intent. Then, within a weak moment, the true form of sword energy appeared, which contained both sword intent and aura.

To his ladies, Kent was out for a couple of months, but in reality, he was out for 65 years. Throughout those 65 years, he had done only one thing: comprehend sword energy.

This caused his sword intent and sword aura to skyrocket to the profound stage. However, that is not all.

While he indeed managed to take his sword intent and aura to the profound stage, his understanding of them was far more extensive than that of anyone wielding a profound sword aura and intent.

This meant that if he were to clash with someone now, his understanding of profound sword aura would be several levels above theirs.

So what Queen Amorian said was indeed true.

”It depends on how you want to see it, Queen Amorian. My understanding of the sword is indeed vast; however, compared to someone like you, I am but a bug before you.”

”A bug that can challenge someone with 9th-level comprehension of Profound Sword energy,” Queen Amorian said with a smile.

This discovery, of course, made the King and his elders look at Kent strangely. Even the two princesses and the two princes were having a hard time hearing all this.

”I guess someone who has broken a limit is worthy of having such prowess. However, your second request—are you sure you have what it takes for such a task?” Queen Amorian asked and then continued.

”While you can perhaps contend with Spirit’s Ascension cultivators, the odds you will be going against include dozens of Spirit Kings and even a Spirit Emperor.

It is not a major stronghold, but rather a barracks where our people are being held. However, even so, the odds are just too much for someone like you.”

Kent smiled and asked, ”Would a Spirit Sovereign appear?”

”No,” Queen Amorian answered.

”Then there shouldn’t be a problem. The Spirit Kings and Emperor will indeed be a challenge; however, I don’t think that will be an issue.

Provided no Spirit Sovereign appears, my team and I will do just fine.”

”And this team you speak of, are they Spirit Kings? Because that is the only way you can handle this barracks and get our people out.

And the reason why no Spirit Sovereign will appear is that our warriors would also clash with any reinforcement from either the Hellhounds or the Batkins.” Queen Amorian struggled to see where Kent’s confidence was coming from.

Although she said the Spirit Kings were a few dozen, in fact, there were 24 of them, 200 Core formations, and 100 Spirit Ascensions, not forgetting the Spirit Emperor. The odds were indeed massive.

”The strongest in my team are at the peak of the Root Sovereign stage, but they fight like immortals.” Kent smiled, showing his white teeth.

This—everyone was dumbfounded, hearing what Kent had said.

They expected him to say something like he had a team of Spirit Ascension and a few Spirit Kings, but Root Sovereigns, not even Core Formation; that was just too much to take in.

”I know you all are skeptical, so why don’t you meet one of them?” Kent said.

”How?” King Hkum asked.

”I will summon him here now.”

They turned and looked at each other before nodding in unison.

”Very well, let’s see the team you’re placing your bet on.”

Kent smiled and called forth.

”Aetheris, come out.”

Immediately after he called out, the temperature in the hall started to rise as a 12-meter giant made of lava appeared, holding a colossal hammer.

They all turned pale.
