Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 182: Monster Of The Sword Gate

(A/N: I know some of you were expecting a longer battle scene. Sorry to disappoint, but the MC is simply too OP to go up against Grandmaster Swordsmen. It feels like bullying, crushing their dreams and aspirations like that.

That’s why I’ll make it up to you all in the coming chapters. Just don’t laugh or cry too much... It’s just a story, after all... lol.😂😂😂)

Word of Kent’s feat in the Trial of the Sword spread rapidly throughout the Divine Palace Sect. It was the only topic on everyone’s lips—and it had been less than a day since he defeated all 100 Grandmaster Swordsmen.

No matter the gate within the sect, Kent was currently elated. In fact, his fame had skyrocketed beyond the walls of the sect.

Some disciples even recorded the battles on their recording crystals and began sharing them among themselves.

The greedy ones are even selling to those outside the sect. This is huge news worth spreading at the Kingdom level.

The Spear Gate, which had a longstanding rivalry with the Sword Gate, had already started ridiculing the Sword Gate, leading to a few clashes among disciples. Of course, the Elders intervened and broke up the fights before they could escalate.

But that doesn’t mean the matter has died down...

In fact, Kent’s feat has changed many things in the sect. It was as if his presence had altered everything people believed.

A Level 8 Root Grandmaster somehow managed to defeat 100 Grandmaster swordsmen, all of whom are Root Saints. That just doesn’t make sense.

In fact, it shouldn’t make sense... But it also means that, although the Sword Gate has faced an unfortunate defeat, they now have a monster they can rely on.

Someone they can use to brag about...

So, the other gates have to strike while the iron is still hot. If they waste time, things will escalate beyond their current limits.

Kent must be put in his place before his ego grows too big.

Just like that, the gate masters began meeting with their gate elders, searching for a way to curb the growing threat within the Sword Gate...

One would think a sect should be united, but they are all schemers who only know how to backstab one another. Kent had proven to be a threat they couldn’t ignore, so they sought to put him in his place.

But while this was happening, outside the Divine Palace Sect, some people who had watched the recordings began spreading the word.

One of these videos found its way to the Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect, the number one sword sect in the entire Althea Kingdom and possibly the entire human continent.

”I trust you’ve all seen the video,” a white-bearded man said, his gaze shifting to three others. Two were men, and the last was a woman, likely in her late 40s.

”They’re calling him the Monster of the Sword Gate,” said the white-bearded man. He was Clyde, the Sect Master of the Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect.

”This doesn’t look good for us. Not only did he refrain from drawing his sword, but he also managed to execute the infamous [24 String Weaving Strike] flawlessly. This kid is indeed a monster,” the woman named Cecil said, still watching the video.

”This doesn’t bode well for us indeed. With this kid, the next Kingdom Genius Competition won’t be in our favour,” one of the men in the room, Josh, said, glaring daggers at the image of Kent projected from the recording crystal.

These crystals are used to record events, much like recording cameras on Earth.

”Then what should we do? Although he’s not yet at the level of our Core Disciples, if he’s given a few years to grow, he won’t just surpass them—he’ll surpass us,” the last man in the room, Bai, added.

Negative thoughts began forming in their minds. They just didn’t want to lose. They were the Everlasting Immortal Sword Sect, one of the most powerful sects on the human continent.

They prided themselves on being one of the most powerful sects with a great understanding of the path of the sword. However, Kent’s display shook their hearts.

If Kent wasn’t taken care of, things would come crashing down for them.

After all, the last time they lost the Kingdom Genius Competition was many years ago, and even back then, it was the current Sword Gate Master, who was known back in the day as the Sword Fairy, who won that competition.

Since then, nobody has come close to claiming that title from them. But Kent had just proven that the title could be claimed—and easily at that.

If someone manages to execute such a powerful sword skill flawlessly, it means only one thing: he is a genius who cannot be ignored.

”There are only two things we can do,” Sect Master Clyde said. ”We can either try to bring him to our side or kill him secretly. He cannot be allowed to grow. While he may be the disciple of the Sword Saintess, his growth must be stopped if he is not on our side.”

The three elders exchanged looks. ”Then how should we go about it? Do we send someone to recruit him, or should we go straight to killing him?” Elder Cecil asked.

”Let’s send Sword Saintess Val. She and Sword Saintess Selene are rivals. If we send her, we can easily determine the best course of action. I doubt the other sects will just stand idle once they see this,” Clyde said, looking at the three.

”She can do as she pleases, since no matter what we tell her, she won’t listen. So let’s just give her this chance. She can act freely while she’s there.”

The three elders nodded, and the meeting concluded.

What Kent doesn’t know is that in this world, titles and status mean everything. He is currently on everyone’s radar, so no matter what, he will attract attention—and with attention, people will try to suppress him.

If he proves stubborn, they will try to kill him.

Powerful factions and families will undoubtedly start vying for him, offering all kinds of enticing rewards. Without a doubt, other kingdoms will also notice him and come after him.

Being a genius in Sonox comes with many ups and downs, and Kent has just found himself caught in one.

Unfortunately for many, they aren’t aware that the dragon they are after is, in fact, a powerful yet arrogant creature.

Legend had it that the Chaos Dragon was the most arrogant and deadly among all dragons. Kent, who was now in the process of becoming a Chaos Dragon, was slowly moving in that direction, where he would one day become truly dangerous.

Unfortunately, nobody knew his true identity or strength, so they clung to their arrogance and hoped they could become the ones to suppress the dragon.

They might be on the right track—considering that if they do come after Kent, they might indeed have a shot.

But sadly, they are running out of time. That is because, before parting ways with Uncle Drew, he gave his most trusted servant, the captain of the Night Riders, a mission.

While it was a mission for Uncle Drew, it was, in fact, a quest for Kent. And this quest came with something crucial. The moment Kent gets his hands on it, he will become incredibly dangerous.

Back when he went to rescue Li Hua from Mokasa Prison, he was attacked by a Root Sage who wanted to make him her slave.

However, one thing led to another, and he killed her instead. Later, it was discovered that he may have awakened a past self through reincarnation, which was the reason he managed to kill the Root Sage.

And now, once Uncle Drew and the Night Riders complete the mission, Kent will receive a Memory key that will unlock a part of his past memories.

In just a few days from now, Kent will unlock a fragment of his past—a memory of himself as a powerful existence that once shook the hearts and souls of immortals...
