Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 158: Leaving Caprath City

”Don’t worry, I will make sure that bastard doesn’t live long enough to enjoy his days,” Kent said with a smile, holding Alina in his arms. It took him two hours, but he managed to calm her down.

Her trauma was much deeper than he had thought. But for now, he planned to make sure she got her revenge. And since the universe also wanted that, who was he to reject it?

He quickly checked the quest.

’Looks like even the universe wants this scum dead. I guess I’ll get to it the moment I settle down in the academy,’ Kent smirked and retrieved one of the six necklaces Vexthra had given him.

”Put your blood on this and form a soul contract with it,” Kent said, making Alina look at him strangely.

”Is... is that a soul item?” she asked curiously.

”Yes,” Kent replied. He saw no reason to hide it. She was his woman now; the least he could do was protect her.

”And you’re giving it to me for free? Do you know how much one of these costs?” Alina asked, shocked. As an auction manager, she was well aware of the value of soul items.

Of course, she had never expected to own one herself, yet here she was, receiving one. Kent could only smile and say, ”You don’t have to worry about the price.”

He took her hand, pricked her thumb to draw blood, and dropped it onto the necklace. The contract was formed, and he placed it around her neck.

It felt surreal, but as she sensed the connection forming between her and the necklace, she seemed to accept it. Smiling, she hugged Kent tightly.

”Thank you,” she whispered, burying her face in his chest. Kent simply patted her back, letting her have the moment she needed.

Of course, he went ahead and told her how the necklace worked.

Later, they dressed up, and Kent used his blink skill to leave the same way he had arrived. Alina, still smiling, left to take care of her affairs.

Since Kent had made her a promise, she resolved to do her best to live up to his expectations.

Right after Kent blinked outside the auction house, he began moving toward the southern part of the city. He was finally going to meet his servant, Jacob Ashland.

It had been weeks since the last time, he was sure.

Back then, Jacob had been captured by the men who worked for his father. But instead of killing him, they planned to sell him as a slave out of sheer greed.

Luckily for Jacob, Kent didn’t want to kill him, even though his family had captured Li Hua and were planning to use her for who knows what.

Long story short, Kent rescued him and offered him the chance to become his servant. After some internal struggles, Jacob accepted.

But then, his destiny took an unexpected turn when he received a True Name. It wasn’t just any ordinary True Name; it was that of the undying cockroach, Krex-Nithal.

Not that Jacob is aware he has a True Name. His True Name wouldn’t unlock until he raised his trust level with Kent to 80%.

Kent had planned on visiting him later.

However, something happened a few hours ago, and because of that, he decided to visit Jacob. His first servant had become a Root Saint, so Kent received a boost in his stats.

He hadn’t expected that. When he freed Jacob, the young man had shown no signs of continuing his cultivation. The first few weeks were spent lazing around.

He spent the 30,000 spirit stones Kent had given him recklessly. He seemed to have given up. However, a couple of weeks ago, something within him rebelled against the idea of surrendering and pushed him to pick himself up and do something meaningful with his life.

Thus, he began training and cultivating. By that time, he had already used up most of his money. With the little that remained, he rented a small apartment and threw himself into cultivating and training.

Before long, he became deeply engrossed in his efforts, and without realizing it, he finally accepted his role as Kent’s servant. Of course, he still hated Kent for taking his woman, but he had started to understand why things had unfolded the way they did.

He was nothing more than a puppet manipulated by his parents. He despised them, and now that they were dead, he was finally free. So, he trained harder, and before long, his Trust Level with Kent reached 50%.

A few hours ago, something remarkable happened—his cultivation base, which had been stuck at the Peak of the Root Grandmaster stage, finally broke through to the Root Saint stage.

Kent stopped 100 meters from the house and watched Jacob hack away at the training dummies he had bought. For several minutes, he observed him in silence. Then, with a soft smile, he stepped into the house.

”Good to see you’re doing better, Jacob,” Kent said with a cute little smile. Jacob turned and looked at him but didn’t say anything.

Clearly, he still didn’t like him. But he had to admit, Kent had helped him, so, giving him the benefit of the doubt, he stopped what he was doing and faced him.

”What do you want?” Jacob asked.

Kent smirked, sensing the hostility in his tone. But he didn’t care—it’s not like Jacob could defeat him or anything.

”I just came to drop some things off before leaving. I know you still don’t trust me, but I hope you will in the future.” Kent retrieved a pouch from his space ring.

”By the way, congratulations on becoming a Root Saint.” He gave Jacob a nod of approval before tossing the pouch to him.

”Inside are 100 million spirit stones and a Soul Armor. Just put your blood on the gem in the armour, and it will be absorbed into your soul. To use it, just summon it, and it will appear around your body.

You can also imagine any type of clothing, and it will transform into it. Wear it at all times. I’ll come back or call you when I deem you worthy enough to be my true servant.

For now, use the money to buy what you need for your training.” Kent smiled at Jacobs’s stunned expression and blinked away.

He didn’t need that much anyway, so giving him 100 million and one of the eight Soul Armors in his possession wasn’t a big deal.

If he needed more, he could just pop into the God Realm and get more.

After leaving, Kent started moving toward the location of Vastport City. He could have used the transportation gate in Caprath City, but with four days left before going to the academy, he wanted to travel on foot.

So he set off.

However, halfway through the journey, he had to stop. Uncle Drew—now a Night Rider—appeared through a portal, along with two others, forcing Kent to halt.

He knew what was about to happen next. When the two figures behind Uncle Drew appeared, Kent received their True Names and understood how to complete their transformation.
