Global Catastrophe: I, Mecha God, Can't Hide From The World

Chapter 70 Heading WestSunan City, located 200 kilometers west of Red Sea City, is the first large city west of Red Sea City.

”I said I wouldn’t let you come. You have to come, but don’t hold me back!”

Chen Ping rode a blood wolf mecha, opened his helmet, and said to the people behind him.

Li Yatong, who was also riding on a Blood Wolf mecha, opened his helmet and stared at Chen Ping angrily.

”Who wants to hold you back? If you get hurt then, don’t ask me!”

Originally, Chen Ping did not plan to bring Li Yatong and the girls with him, but Li Yatong had to follow Chen Ping like a follower.

Helpless, Chen Ping could only build a new Raider mecha for Li Yatong to protect her safety.

As for Jiang Yunya and He Yingying, they were left in the base.

In front of Chen and Ping, a large group of Blood Wolf mechas were running towards Sunan City, and behind them were some Master Chief mechas.

There are more than five thousand Master Chief mechas flying in the sky.

”Attention, we will enter the urban area of Sunan in ten kilometers. Follow me closely and don’t run around!”

At this moment, Chen Ping began to return to his alert state.

Although Li Yatong is equipped with a Raider mecha, she has only been familiar with the mecha for half a day. She can only simply control the mecha’s activities. As for the more complex weapon systems, she is not familiar with it yet.

That’s why Chen Ping said to let her follow him closely for protection.

…………

To the east of Sunan City, on a mountaintop, an inconspicuous wolf-shaped creature suddenly appeared on the highest point of the mountain. The sunlight reflected the silver-white metallic luster on the creature.

That was Chen Ping’s Blood Wolf mecha vanguard, here to explore the way.

Three kilometers away from the foot of the mountain is the real urban area of Sunan City. A pair of electronic eyes of the Blood Wolf Machine Pioneer scanned the entire Sunan City and transmitted the picture back to Chen Ping.

”It seems like there are very few exotic beasts!”

Behind the hill, Chen Ping carefully inspected the city shrouded in mist and saw no sign of any strange beast.

Chen Ping frowned. Chen Ping almost didn’t encounter any large groups of alien beasts along the way. There were a few scattered alien beasts that were not enough for Chen Ping to squeeze between his teeth.

Chen Ping originally thought that all the alien beasts should be concentrated in the urban area, but he did not expect that no trace of them was found in a big city like southern Jiangsu.

”No matter, let’s go to the city!”

Turning off the screen, Chen Ping gave the order to enter the city.

The Blood Wolf mecha on the top of the mountain rushed down the mountain first, and then more silver-white figures appeared behind it, shuttling between the trees on the top of the mountain at extremely fast speeds, heading towards the city quickly.

Afterwards, a large swath of Master Chief’s mecha flew directly over the mountain with a roar...

Chen Ping trudged along with the torrent of steel and finally entered the city. Looking at the dilapidated city in front of him, Chen Ping couldn’t help thinking that there might not be any survivors here.

Although Sunan is very close to the Red Sea, it has not been defended by Xia troops since the invasion of alien beasts. Chen Ping’s mecha troops did not focus on protecting this place due to insufficient numbers.

Logically speaking, the tragedy here should be even worse than that in Red Sea City, but the fact is that the buildings in Sunan City did not seem to have suffered much damage.

The whole city was not filled with the smell of blood and decay like Red Sea City. Chen Ping did not see a strange beast or a living person.

”What’s going on?”

Chen Ping rode on the Blood Wolf mecha and slowly entered the street, wondering in his heart that this situation was not normal. It’s so abnormal.

If he hadn’t occasionally seen the dried and blackened blood stains on the building, Chen Ping would have almost thought that this place had not been attacked.

Chen Ping doubtfully let go of all the mechas and let them spread out around Chen Ping to investigate the entire city.

As for Chen Ping, he found a street refreshment shop and sat down. Before the mechas found out the situation, Chen Ping did not intend to act blindly.

”Chen Ping, what are you doing?”

Li Yatong jumped off the back of the blood wolf mecha and came to Chen Ping. She saw that Chen Ping was sitting on the street, taking out the tea leaves in the store and boiling water to make a pot for herself, with a smile on her face. A question mark.

Didn’t you say you were here to destroy the alien beasts? What the hell does it mean to sit on the street and drink tea?

”Come on, try it! This is my first time making tea!”

Chen Ping glanced at Li Yatong, smiled slightly, dragged the chair over and poured the brewed tea for Li Yatong as well.

Li Yatong opened the helmet on his head and sat down opposite Chen Ping, frowning, ”Are you still in the mood for tea at this time? Don’t forget what you are here to do!”

”I have heard that West Lake Longjing is a unique experience since I was a child, but I have never tasted it. I finally had the opportunity, so I naturally had to give it a try. The scenery in southern Jiangsu is also famous throughout the country. How could I miss it?”

Chen Ping said while picking up the teacup and smelling it carefully with squinted eyes.

”nerve!”

Li Yatong murmured in a low voice, picked up the tea cup in front of her and drank it all in one gulp. After running 200 kilometers with Chen Ping, she was indeed a little thirsty.

Then, Li Yatong smacked her lips, and suddenly realized that the fragrance of the tea had swept away the worries in her heart, and her whole body felt comfortable.

”Give me some more...”

Li Yatong raised the cup towards Chen Ping.

”Mastermind, there’s a situation!!”

Suddenly, Chen Ping received a message from a Blood Wolf mecha.

Chen Ping suddenly put down the tea cup in his hand, jumped onto a blood wolf mecha and ran towards the marked location.

”Hey!! Chen Ping, what do you mean? Why are you crazy? If you don’t drink, you won’t drink. What’s the big deal...”

Li Yatong stamped her foot angrily. She was about to get angry. When she saw Chen Ping’s hurried movements, she suddenly realized that she might have encountered a strange beast, so she stood up and quickly climbed onto the blood wolf mecha and followed him.

Arriving at the marked location, Chen Ping turned the corner and gasped.

On this street, there are many people standing like wooden stakes. They are all hiding in this street without sunlight.

These people’s bodies were in tatters and their skin was shriveled. They were obviously not living creatures at all, they looked like sculptures.

”This...could it be...”

Chen Ping had seen this kind of situation when he was at Red Sea University. This was the case for those who had been parasitized by green maggots.

These things seem to be photophobic, otherwise it would not be possible for them all to be crowded in this long, dark street.

I asked why there were neither strange animals nor people here. It turned out that they were all hiding.

Chen Ping thought for a while.

”Destroy them all!”

Although those people still maintain their appearance in life, they are no longer human at all.

”Whoosh...”

Following Chen Ping’s order, the Blood Wolf mecha and the Master Chief mecha opened fire wildly, with particle cannons and laser rays directed at the pile of standing ”people”.
