Cursed Immortality

Chapter 893: Virtual Star World!

Jacob’s eyes flickered when he heard the notification, and not only that, but other information also suddenly appeared in his head about the use of the Soul Star Watch, which was quite unusual.

The Soul Star Watch not only gives access to the Virtual Star World but also has the same functions as the star watches of the lesser plains. The Virtual Star World was actually more of a second world where people from all over the Legendary Plains interact and trade with each other without needing to be physically present there.

’This Virtual Star World is just like the Dark Battle Arena of Dark City but more advanced since I don’t need to be in that pod to enter it. Furthermore, since this is Star Network, they couldn’t use it as a soul farm, right?’ Jacob couldn’t help but think about the Dark Battle Arena of the Lesser Plains, which was actually a soul farm.

Furthermore, it was because of devouring it that Nyx managed to evolve so quickly, and he also escaped the backlash of Immortika’s appearance that day.

”Nyx, I’m going into this Virtual Star World and want you to observe it closely. Tell me if this Virtual Star World is like the Dark Battle Arena or not…” He ordered.

”Hehehe, if this is like that soul farm, are we going to grab it?” Nyx excitedly asked.

Jacob’s eyes flickered coldly, ”We’ll see once we determine what it is. But since this is the Star Network we are talking about, it’s better to stay off them. They are basically the pioneers in this field, and from the start, they seemed to have complete control over this world. Going against them is not worth it yet…”

”Tsk, tsk, as if you haven’t done anything like this before…” Nyx commented sarcastically.

Jacob didn’t comment on her remark and used his send his force in the Soul Star Watch, and the next moment, he felt like consciousness was being pulled into it, and his vision suddenly shifted.

The next moment, Jacob found himself standing on a crystal platform, surrounded by glowing symbols that actually represented different functions of the Star World.

Furthermore, he saw that his body was actually just a glob of glowing light, and at this moment, a gentle, guiding voice resonated in the void.

”Welcome Faceless Ancient in the Virtual Star World!

”Do you want your Virtual Clone to resemble your real body?

”You also have the option to customize it one time!”

The next moment, in front of him, the virtual appearance of his skeletal body materialized. However, Jacob was paying more attention to his actual body because despite being here, he could easily shift his vision to his body and feel everything; it was like being in a meditative-like state.

’How thoughtful, this way. I don’t need to worry about someone sneaking up on me while I’m here…’ Jacob was pleased with the situation and preferred it far more than the Dark Room’s setup, where he was completely at the mercy of others.

He finally looked at the appearance of his skeletal body; although it might look the same, it wasn’t because it didn’t have the runic marking nor the crystal appearance.

Upon focusing on it, he discovered he had the option of changing it. The moment he thought about flesh and skin, it instantly appeared, and then he shaped it like his actual appearance; all he needed to do was imagine it.

However, Jacob suddenly thought of something and changed it again, and his overly handsome face became more mature until a wrinkle appeared on it. His hair turned gray with sword-like eyebrows and sky-blue eyes, and he adjusted his height to 6’2 feet.

He looked at the widened man with a sturdy, aged body in his late sixties with a hint of nostalgia; this was his old appearance.

”Use this appearance!” Jacob ordered without hesitation. He didn’t want to appear as a Faery Human from the lesser plains, and even if someone he knew were here, they wouldn’t be able to connect the Faceless Ancient to Old Jacob Steve.

The moment he gave his confirmation, the gentle voice rang again, ”Integrating Virtual Clone into Virtual Star World!

”You are a Legendary Rank User; thus, you will appear in Legendary Spectrum Sky City of the Virtual Star World!

”As a 4-Star Privilege User, you’ll be entering the 4-Star Region!

”You are a member of Dark Kingdom; thus, you are allowed to enter the Dark Kingdom’s Virtual Domain in Legendary Spectrum City.

”Do you want to enter the Dark Kingdom’s Virtual Region?”

”No,” Jacob replied without hesitation despite being intrigued by this revelation.

He wasn’t expecting there would be such an arrangement in this Virtual Star World, and from what he could tell, those factions seemed to have their domains in here, just like their servers on the network.

Nonetheless, Jacob wasn’t interested in using his Dark Viscount identity unless he had to since it would be like revealing himself, especially since he knew about the involvement of the Dark Prince in that attack.

After receiving his confirmation, Jacob instantly vanished from the platform, and the next moment, he appeared in the Virtual Star World in his old body, wearing plain white clothes.

But when he saw the surroundings, he was amazed by a stunning and expansive realm of pure wonder, resembling an endless, star-filled void almost like the Nightmare Dreamscape Realm.

The sky was a swirling canvas of vibrant nebulae and constellations, each shifting slowly as if alive. Shooting stars streak across the horizon, leaving trails of sparkling energy in their wake.

Furthermore, on the far horizon, Jacob saw a grand, floating structure shaped like a neon eye and shimmered like starlight as if it were the epicenter of this entire world. Below this eye were smaller floating islands like stars scattered in the infinite space with massive, rune-etched archways floating in front of them like portals within the Virtual Star World.

Jacob finally averted his eyes and looked around and found himself standing in a huge plaza, the ground was made of translucent crystal that reflects the stars above, making it feel as though he was on the fabric of the cosmos itself.

Furthermore, he saw many other people dressed far more imposingly appearing there before they hurried towards different directions, and some instantly vanished after muttering something, leaving behind a flash of light.

Jacob’s eyes flickered as he observed his surroundings, ’The Virtual Star World!’
