Cursed Immortality

884  Ruthless & Overbearing!

”Who are you, and what are you doing here?”

Jacob looked at the three scaled men impassively. Even without his Legendary King perception, he could quickly tell that these three were Fable Legendary Rank beings. On the other hand, Elie looked at them vigilantly, as her naïve and curious demeanor was nowhere to be found.

The other three were also closely observing Jacob and Elia, but when they found they were below legendary rank, their vigilance greatly decreased, especially when they noticed that Jacob wasnʼt even in the three steps of legend yet. The way they looked at Elia changed subtly.

Jacob spoke at this moment, ”We were hiding in our house under a protective formation, so we were unaware of the evacuation. Only now that we have left do we realize that everyone here is gone. Where is everyone?” Jacob made his words as subtle as possible since he didnʼt want to appear suspicious.

The three men were startled when they heard Jacobʼs reply, but when they considered it, Jacobʼs words also made some sense. They knew how hectic the situation was when they announced the evacuation, and they had found some people who werenʼt able to make it before this as well.

At this moment, the second scaled man with a faint scar on his forehead coldly said, ”You seemed to be a Faery Human… your long way from Holy Domain.”

ʼHoly Domain? Is that where Faery Human lived?ʼ Jacob thought before he impassively replied, ”Iʼm a Dark Viscount of Dark City, and she is my apprentice. We were here for some business, but then this monster mayhem happened. I will pay you if you can escort us to a secure place.”

”A Faery Human member of the Dark Kingdom?” A scaled man was startled, and a hint of surprise flashed past his eyes. His companion was the same. After all, Faery Humans were one of the top races of the Legendary Plains. They were all members of the Cardinal Spirit Temple and were also overlords of the Great Cosmic Continent of Leo.

But in the Great Cosmic Continent of Scorpio, their influence was minimal because it was one of the three neutral factions, and this was the domain of Life Faction!

Dark Kingdom was also in the same situation. They only had dark cities here, but they werenʼt allowed anywhere near the territories of the life faction. Thatʼs why Jacobʼs appearance was an anomaly, and he didnʼt know about it yet.

”Show us your badge.” One of the scale men coldly said.

However, Jacob didnʼt comply this time since he needed his star watch to show his dark cityʼs badge. But they might turn hostile if these guys realized that his star watch was different from Soul Star Watch.

Furthermore, Jacob wasnʼt naïve enough not to figure out what was happening, and since they were asking too many questions, he became impatient.

”Tell me, if you attack and robe us, arenʼt you afraid the authorities of the city will punish you?” Jacob coldly questioned.

The three guards were startled by Jacobʼs abrupt question. They looked at each other before suddenly bursting into cold laughter.

”Is there something wrong with pretty boyʼs head?”

”It has to be; after all, heʼs a Faery Human; they always thought of themselves as god chosen and above everyone else. Despite his twig-like strength, he still dares to show his arrogance?”

”Well, since heʼs suspicious, and we are in charge of patrolling this area, no one will blame us if…boom!”

Before the third one could finish his sentence, Jacobʼs figure suddenly vanished, and his bonny palm connected to his face. The strength behind Jacobʼs slap contained the power of the Legendary King, and the guardʼs head was instantly turned into blood mist. Even his soul totem was completely shattered!

Within a second, he was deader than dead, and when the other two realized what had happened, they were in too much shock, and another slap was already on the second guyʼs face!

ʼBoom!ʼ

A powerful shockwave followed by a crisp and deadly sound reverberating, and the second headless corpse fell right after the first one.

The third one finally reacted, and his expression was abhorrent and filled with terror as he wanted to flee since he didnʼt even think about fighting back because his two friends of Fable Legendary Rank died within two seconds. He knew this Faery Human who they were, looking down on was a terrifying being.

However, he was too slow, and by the time he could react, Jacob was already standing behind him in his true form. The flames in his hallow sockets flickered coldly before he gripped the guardʼs head, and soul force gushed out!

Jacobʼs soul force was extremely terrifying, and whatever natural defense the guard had instantly shattered. His body trembled violently under Jacobʼs soul force, and within a second, he started to suffocate. His expression was filled with pain as black blood gushed out of his orifice. However, as soon as he lost consciousness after taking terrible soul damage, Jacob stopped since he had no intention of killing this one. On the other hand, Elia was standing on her spot dumbfoundedly. The killing intent in her eyes was replaced with disbelief. She was also angry because of those three guardsʼ disrespectful attitude towards her teacher and was ready to attack, but Jacob beat her to it.

Furthermore, Jacob was so fast that before she could react, it was already over, and he was very ruthless with his actions. But Elia didnʼt feel fear at all. Instead, she was ecstatic and even felt pride for being Jacobʼs student.

Jacobʼs appearance begins to change back again as he causally stows away those two headless corpses since their blood is still quite precious to him.

As for the last one, who was now in a coma and would never wake up without a heaven-defying medicine, he dragged him towards the vacant building and said to Elia, ”Follow me.”

Elia snapped out of her stupor and quickly followed Jacob, her eyes filled with reverence and respect. She sneered at the unconscious guy with disdain and muttered, ”You guys deserved it.”

Jacob paid little heed to her comment as he sent a mind transmission, ”Autarch, can you take control of this guy and get his memories? Iʼve destroyed 90% of his soul. Iʼll soon find a legendary king, and then youʼll have a chance to evolve further!”
