interstellar chief prosecutor

Chapter 45

On the third day after the poisoning incident, Prince Atlantis’ private medical team arrived in Beichen and began to give Mu Fan the most detailed diagnosis and treatment.

Every day after that, they made an updated judgment on Mu Fan’s situation, and the situation has been improving.

”How about it?”

”The breathing is steady and the heartbeat is normal. The toxins in the body are decreasing steadily, and His Highness is fine.”

The medical staff were busy recording the data, and someone beside them was discussing in a low voice.

”What about that?”

”Let’s talk about it after His Highness wakes up.”

After a while, everyone retreated, leaving the patient an environment where he could fully rest. But the person who had been lying unconscious on the bed slowly opened his eyes at this moment.A pair of dark pupils looked at the blank space above his head, adapting to the light in front of him, then he stretched out his hand and looked at his palm.

Mu Fan woke up.

He remembered everything that happened that night.

Accidentally drank poisonous wine, stayed away from the crowd, and even met Yu Yisi, all of which he remembered clearly. However, at this moment, he wished that he did not have such a clear memory. Then, he won’t remember what he did, what he said, and...the temperature of his hands.

Mu Fan did it on purpose. After discovering that he had been poisoned by the neurotoxin, he used his last waking consciousness to escape from the crowd to find You Yisi.Because Mu Fan knew that he was the only one who could restrain his loss of control at this moment. As for whether You Yisi will encounter any problems after suppressing himself, it was originally out of Mufan’s scope of consideration.

He just wanted to use that person.

But unexpectedly, Mu Fan never expected that he would become so uncontrollable. He actually showed his weakest side in front of outsiders, and even almost revealed the secret deep in his heart. However, what surprised him even more was You Yisi’s hand gently caressing his forehead.

At this time, standing in front of the hospital bed, Mu Fan stretched out his hand and slowly touched his forehead. There, it seems that the temperature that once belonged to someone still remains.

Hot, fiery, like a fever.

His Royal Highness looked out the window in a daze.He didn’t understand You Yisi a little bit, when he accidentally exposed his flaws, You Yisi should have suspected that he already knew his true identity. Then why didn’t he be on guard, didn’t act first, but chose to save himself?

Why was Yisi taking care of her at that time, so gentle? It even made him miss his brother touching him when he was young.

His Royal Highness, who always thought he was in control of everything, fell into deep confusion at this moment.

”Your Highness!” The clerk opened the door and came in, pleasantly surprised: ”You are finally fine!”

”Medley.” Mu Fan looked at him, ”Tell me the current situation.”

”Yes, a week has passed since you fell asleep, and the envoy sent by His Majesty has arrived in Beichen and is participating in the trial. We are still worried that you will not be able to wake up before then.”

”Judgment?” Mu Fan grabbed a key word, ”To whom?”

”The trial of Xiao Yisi, suspected of poisoning, is today... Wait, Your Highness, where are you going!?”

Medley chased after him in panic, but only saw Mu Fan’s back fading away. It was the first time Medley saw that expression on Mu Fan’s face—it seemed angry and worried.

Nothing like his usual calm self-possession.

……

”Now I announce that the trial will begin and the accused will appear in court.”

The conference hall of Beichen Military Academy was once again full of people. But this time was different from last time, Yu Yisi was brought up in chains. He appeared in the lobby as a suspect in the poisoning incident.Seeing him appear, there was an uproar in the auditorium.

”quiet!”

The presiding judge tapped the gavel.

”Anyone who interferes with this special trial will be taken out of the courtroom. Below, please remain quiet.”

No one dared to speak casually anymore, but they could use their eyes to look at the people on the stage over and over again.Arima was almost pierced by all kinds of gazes from behind, but people found that he still did not show timidity, but stood upright facing the judge’s bench.

From this position, Yu Yisi could clearly see the location distribution of the scene.Right in front of him are the seats of three collegial judges; on the left is the prosecution, and several temporarily transferred prosecutors are sitting in front of them, with black and gold badges pinned to their bodies. And in the defender’s seat on the right, You Yisi unexpectedly saw, Professor Modi?

Professor Modi came to act as his defender, which he did not expect at all.

While he was in a daze, the prosecution’s speech led by the judge had ended, and it was the defense’s turn to speak. Professor Modi straightened his collar and stood up.

”As for the prosecution’s suspicion that our client was involved in the poisoning incident, I would like to clarify the following points. First, even though Xiao Yisi has contacts with Duoduo, this does not prove that the two have a tradition in the poisoning incident. If the prosecution To prove this point, please provide more accurate evidence. Second, so far, no one has been able to prove that Xiao Yisi is directly related to the poison Mu Fan suffered...”

Before Modi finished speaking, he was interrupted by someone.

It was Bovary, who, as a judge of the Republic, now sits on the prosecutor’s seat with the imperial envoy, which is really ironic.

”However, His Highness Mu Fan’s toxin cannot be cured without an antidote, and when he was by Xiao Yisi’s side, he was no longer under the control of the toxin. Didn’t Xiao Yisi give him the antidote? This is enough to prove that he is an accomplice!”

”Your Honor.” Professor Modi said to the presiding judge, ”Someone interrupted our speech, please review the discipline strictly according to the rules.”

The judge slapped the gavel and warned.

”The prosecution please pay attention to court order.”

Bovary was listless and stopped talking.

Modi continued: ”What I just said is exactly what I want to say. In fact, the school hospital did an examination immediately after accepting Mu Fan, which proved that there was still toxin in his body, but it was suppressed and could not exert its effect. Therefore, it does not prove that Xiao Yisi gave Mu Fan the antidote...”

After continuing to make a statement, Modi signaled the end of his speech and sat down.

Next, the judge instructed the two parties to conduct focused cross-examination and debate on the issue. To sum up, the key point of controversy is how did Mu Fan’s situation improve at that time?If Yisi hadn’t detoxified him, why didn’t he continue to lose control?Regarding this point, Modi could not provide rebuttal evidence, and the prosecution could not provide more evidence. The two sides were at a deadlock for a while.

”This is the biggest doubt!” Bovary seized the opportunity to bite hard, ”If he is not an accomplice and has no antidote, why didn’t His Royal Highness Mufan continue to lose control? That is enough to control the dose of the whale shark. Are you going to let him I believe--”

Pointing at Yisi, he laughed and said: ”This commoner who has just entered school and has such a low level of ability, can he actually control His Highness’s rampage? Who does he think he can suppress a whale shark? ! ”

His sarcasm and praising the empire were too obvious, and many people present frowned.

”What’s the matter with this guy?” Shen Yanwen whispered, ”Mu Fan was the one who targeted Mu Fan the most in the admission qualification review a few months ago, why is he now trying to curry favor with the empire? Isn’t he slapping his face?”

”It’s not to please Mu Fan, nor is it to please the Atlantis Empire.” Isolde said clearly, ”It’s to cater to his own interests. As long as this kind of person has enough benefits, he won’t care about these etiquette and shame.”

However, no matter what the people below think, the trial began to turn against Masami because of Bovary’s speech.Professor Modi frowned deeply, and began to think about how to save the situation.

Seeing this, Bovary said proudly: ”If he, Xiao Yisi, can prove that he has such a talent, so what if I just kneel down and help him?”

”It’s not necessary to be a cow or a horse.”

The person involved in the incident, You Yisi, spoke suddenly, and everyone looked back.I saw the thin boy looking towards the prosecution seat with an inexplicable smile on his lips.

”You’re at least right. The reason why Mu Fan didn’t continue to run away was because I suppressed him with my supernatural power.”

”Haha, what are you kidding!” As if he had heard the funniest joke, Bovary sneered, ”A mere yellow-haired boy, do you really think you can suppress whale sharks? If you want me to believe this joke, unless I really Pig brain.”

”Aren’t you?” You Yisi asked back.

”What did you say!?”

”I said, Your Excellency is very self-aware.”

You Yisi stared at him, his mental strength gathered little by little.

【You are a pig. 】

Bovary, who was cursing, suddenly lost his voice. Just when the people around him were puzzled, he jumped onto the table, landed on all fours, and began to whine like a pig.The people around were stunned. Someone tried to hold Bovary back, but it didn’t work at all.

[Tell everyone, the deepest secret in your heart. 】

Youyisi continued to cast the power, but this time Bovary hesitated for a while, but didn’t speak, with a pained and struggling expression on his face.It seemed that there were two forces constantly fighting in his body, making him unable to make a choice.

He was suppressed by other people’s abilities! The man’s order is still in his subconscious mind, strictly guarding this secret. After You Yisi realized that he could not break through this suppression for the time being, he immediately changed an order.

[Tell me why you are targeting me. 】

Bovary, who was controlled by You Yisi, suddenly stopped braying like a pig, but spoke words that shocked everyone.

”I just can’t understand you, you stupid Beichen students! What honor and dignity, it’s all shit, why does that old Wiscons guy always sit in the principal’s position? Sooner or later I will replace him, I want —”

”Enough!” The person sitting with him suddenly stood up, glaring at Yimi, ”Quickly release your evil manipulation!”

”Evil?” You Yisi smiled, ”Ability suppression is a compulsory course for every prosecutor. Since Mr. Bovary doesn’t believe that I have this ability, I can only demonstrate it to him.”

”You obviously manipulated Bovary and made him talk nonsense!” the other party roared.

”The order I gave is only for people to tell the truth. The prosecutor next to you can prove this. If you don’t believe it, why not try it yourself?” You Yisi suppressed his smile, and looked at him with black eyes .

Facing Yisi’s eyes, the man broke out in a cold sweat. No matter how unbearable Bovary is, he is still a second-level senior judge. If this freshman can suppress him like this, it may not be impossible to control himself. If at that time I also slipped my tongue and said something I shouldn’t have said, then... After a little delay, the other party finally sat down.

At this time, everyone present was speechless in astonishment, including the three judges on the trial bench, they looked at You Yisi with incredulous eyes.

Only Professor Modi remained calm, and he stood up again.

”Xiao Yisi, what level is your ability?”

”Level four, almost five, professor.”

”Can you control this judge?”

He means Bovary.

”As you can see, Professor.”

”So that night, you controlled Mufan with supernatural powers to suppress his rampage?” Modi narrowed his eyes, ”Suppressing across steps and using it on whale sharks, do you know what this means? If it proves What you say is false and will only bring you more disadvantages.”

There were worries and warnings in his eyes, as if wishing that Yisi would immediately deny what he had said. When the others heard the words, they also looked at You Yisi, expecting him to deny their previous astonishing words.

You Yisi failed to meet their expectations. He opened his mouth and said word by word: ”There is not a single word of my words false, professor. I used my ability to suppress Mu Fan and prevent him from going berserk.”

As soon as the words fell, there was a gasp in the room.I can’t believe it, everyone can’t believe it!You Yisi was able to control a high-ranking judge with supernatural powers, and they could still accept it reluctantly, believing that he was exceptionally talented. But Mu Fan is a whale shark, what a terrifying and powerful creature.Such a creature was actually suppressed by the boy in front of him with supernatural powers?

Is he still human?

Or is he actually a monster?

Modi took everyone’s reactions into his eyes and sighed deeply. That’s what he didn’t want to see.Even if Yisi really proves his innocence in this way, he will be questioned and doubted more in the future, and even persecuted by others.

However, for some reason, the young man in front of him seemed to have made up his mind, and there was no flinching in his eyes.

Modi took a deep breath and finally asked, ”Who else can help you prove this except yourself?”

Yasushi hesitated for a moment.

History is such an amazing coincidence. While everyone was waiting quietly, the door of the conference hall was pushed open again.A slender figure passed the crowd and walked straight to You Yisi.

”I can attest that his words are true.”

His Royal Highness the Prince of Atlantis, arrived at the scene.
