Chapter 335: The Anal Slut’s Move

Luna slowly broke the kiss. Her lips departed from his with a soft sigh, but her purple eyes lingered on him, shimmering with an affection she rarely let even him see without the others around, with the two of them wrapped beneath the same blanket, and seeing how strangely vulnerable her man was, even the snarky gamer girl couldn’t help herself from entering ’tender girlfriend’ mode.

Her hands rose to cup his face, thumbs brushing along his cheeks with loving strokes. ”You look so tired, Kai...” she murmured gently.

Kaiden nodded with the corners of his mouth tugging down. ”It’s been a hectic week,” he admitted. ”If things don’t change soon... I’m worried morale will get worse.”

Luna chuckled lightly at that, pinching his cheeks until his face scrunched. ”You’re thinking way too little of us. We’re here for the good and the bad, dummy. All of us knew it wasn’t going to be sunshine and rainbows from the start.”

Kaiden exhaled slowly, then his eyes softened as he nodded again. ”I know how serious all of you are... but that doesn’t mean we’re immune to emotions when nearly the whole world throws insults at us.”

Instead of frowning, Luna laughed outright and leaned forward, planting a tender kiss on his forehead. ”Big dummy,” she said with a grin. ”The world can hate us all they want; it doesn’t matter. And besides, our numbers are up. We should be thanking that fat pig for giving us a bigger audience.”

Kaiden couldn’t help but chuckle dryly at her playful optimism. His hand ventured to squeeze her perky butt as if her cheeks were made for stress relief. ”Not exactly the kind of audience I wanted to garner.”

Luna smirked in response, eyes closing for a bit with warmth as she leaned her forehead to his. ”Things will work out, Kai. Trust me. Besides, the anal slut and yandere princess have already begun making their move.”

...

Alexandra wiped the last trace of gloss from her pale lips while staring into the vanity mirror with that same cold expression the audience came to know and adore her for. A perfect porcelain doll with long lashes, flawless skin, lush blonde hair, and a look that made men ache while knowing she’d never truly see them. The set reeked faintly of sweat, perfume, and disinfectant, but she sat in the cosmetic room, where she didn’t have to deal with it thankfully.

”Alexandra,” the director called from behind. His voice carried that grating blend of irritation, ”the ice princess act is selling, don’t get me wrong, but if you could show some emotion, at least a modicum of it, the fans would eat it up. Really, try to look like you’re enjoying it.”

She didn’t answer. Her brush traced along her cheekbone, steady and practiced. When she finally capped her lipstick and rose, it was with the poise of royalty. The man was still talking, his words growing tighter as she walked right past him, not sparing a glance. ”Where are you going?!” He shouted angrily, but got ignored..

Out in the corridor, Alexandra pulled out her phone, its sleek black screen lit up with her schedule. Her eyes skimmed the lines. Break: thirty minutes. Second recording: confirmed. She sighed, exhaling through her nose. It was already night, but the machine of ChronosX never slept, and neither did its top assets.

Reaching into her clutch, she retrieved a small glass vial. Inside, the liquid glowed green. It was a stamina enhancer, mandatory to take before shoots. A concoction brewed by ChronosX’s research division, made from dungeon-harvested materials that twisted human limits to make the films even more profitable. She tilted her head back and drank, feeling the bitter tang clinging to her tongue.

When she stepped outside, a black taxi was waiting by the curb. The driver didn’t even look at her. No question of destination was needed; her path was decided the moment Maximilian had signed her life away. On ”breaks,” she might film commercials, smile for boardroom parasites, or warm the laps of politicians her master wished to court. It was all the same, just another performance.

Alexandra slid into the backseat, smoothing her skirt over her thighs. But just as she settled, something fluttered against her hand. A small paper, folded once, slipped down from above.

Her brows furrowed. She lifted it delicately before unfolding the note between fingers trained never to tremble. The handwriting was hurried, consisting of sharp strokes across the surface.

Her eyes scanned the words once, then twice.

And for the first time in years, Alexandra’s breath caught. The ice in her gaze threatened to melt, widening into something raw, something dangerous.

Alexandra’s eyes traced the curves and sharp edges of the handwriting as her pulse stuttered. She knew these letters. Every curl, every flourish. They belonged to the girl she had spent her entire childhood with. Her best friend. The one person who had once made her world feel like it was full of fun and joy.

Nyx Cosmos.

The message itself was cryptic:

”Start walking back.”

Her grip tightened around the thin slip of paper. Why now? After all these years, after the chains of Maximilian and the hollow years in ChronosX, why did Nyx reach for her now? What could she possibly want?

Her heart thudded in her chest as she leaned forward. ”I... need the toilet,” she murmured to the driver. Her voice was as cold as ever, successfully masking the tremor in her chest.

The man grunted without looking at her. ”Hurry up. Time is money.”

The door clicked open, and Alexandra stepped out into the cool night air. Once the car was behind her, her mask cracked. Her breathing quickened, her hands clutched the folded paper as if it were a lifeline.

She began to walk. No direction. No destination. Just forward, because that’s what the note demanded. Every step echoed louder in her ears as her heels struck the pavement. It sounded like a countdown she couldn’t control.

Then something brushed her wrist. A faint flutter, almost playful. A second paper had slipped down in front of her.

She opened it quickly.

”I don’t know where to find something nice...”

Her breath caught. That was their code. Their private phrase, whispered a hundred times in their youth, whenever one of them felt lost. The answer had always been the same: ”Then follow me.”

Considering that she didn’t know where to follow her, the note made little sense. It was ensured to be cryptic in case someone other than her got their hands on it. But because of the lack of sense it made, Alexandra knew for sure she was dealing with Nyx now.

Trusting that her pink-haired friend was on top of the situation, she just kept walking forward while her chest heaved as anticipation and fear collided. And then...

There she was.

Under the soft glow of a streetlamp stood Nyx Cosmos, smiling with that same mischievous light that had once been her compass through childhood. Her arms spread wide, playful, inviting, as if nothing had ever changed.

”Welcome back, bestie,” Nyx said, her voice warm and teasing. ”It’s so good to see you again.”
