Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 682: Xiao He Becomes a Teacher? Analyzing ”Twelve Mirrors”!

This matter was just vaguely agreed to in the end.

Xiao He had originally planned to finish looking around here before following Yang Heng to visit the various seniors inside the theater.

But then Li Jian intercepted him midway.

However, considering Liu Rulanʼs advice to showcase himself more, Xiao He actually felt this was an opportunity.

Noticing Li Jian pull another student aside and mumble something, then the student turned and jogged away, Xiao He rubbed his chin thoughtfully: ”Heʼs not going to call over other teachers from the theater to come watch, is he?”

Yang Heng glanced over and responded flatly: ”Oh, probably. Maybe he thinks you canʼt teach.”

Xiao He chuckled: ”What a low-IQ move.”

Although Xiao He had no experience as a teacher either, he had at least participated in a few panel discussions, going up on stage to read his actor insights from a PowerPoint presentation... Even if he couldnʼt claim much authority on acting technique, he could still teach some small tricks from experiential acting.

So bro, even if youʼre playing the villain, donʼt be this brainless! Targeting him like this wonʼt get you anywhere—heʼs now holding two Best Actor awards, for crying out loud!

Such malicious targeting made Xiao He feel like those awards heʼd won had absolutely zero worth.
”Who knows what heʼs thinking. But heʼs conveniently calling people over for us—those teachers you wanted to visit, we should probably be able to meet them all at once now, saving us the trouble of hunting them down.” Yang Heng shrugged. ”Donʼt take him too seriously. Probably just having a rough time lately, gone mad with frustration.”

Xiao Heʼs mouth twitched. He looked at Yang Heng, who had never taken Li Jian seriously from start to finish, and suddenly understood where Li Jianʼs breaking point was.

No matter how much he made a scene or threw a tantrum, the other party simply didnʼt care. They never even registered his hostility, and were completely indifferent to all the malicious acts heʼd directed at them... only to finally toss out a casual: ”He might have just lost his mind.”

Xiao He: ...Wow, okay, learning from this. Who wouldʼve thought? This kind of attack was actually even more cutting.

He suddenly understood why he himself had never bothered with Ren Yibai and never treated him as a competitor, yet Ren Yibai stubbornly kept targeting him anyway.

Being ignored was far more infuriating than throwing a tantrum.

Wait, thatʼs not right—thinking about it this way, somehow he actually felt a bit sorry for people like Ren Yibai and Li Jian?

Xiao He shook his head, forcing that weird thought out of his mind.

A few minutes later, the group arrived at a practice room somewhere inside the theater.

This practice room was even older, with mottled yellowed dark patterns on the walls, and the wooden floor creaked when you walked on it—clearly it had some history. Even the air faintly carried the musty smell of aged wood.

But no one was paying attention to the environment anymore. The students who had followed them were still in an excited state, whispering to each other the whole way, occasionally pulling out their phones to share updates in group chats.

But to be honest, Xiao He had no idea what to teach either.

”Then letʼs do a detailed breakdown of the performance angle analysis of the characters in ʼTwelve Mirrorsʼ.”

Yang Heng, however, was already prepared. He handed his phone directly to a nearby student and said, ”Could you please turn on the projector over there and cast my phone screen?”

”Huh? Breaking down the performance in ʼTwelve Mirrorsʼ?”

Xiao He had never expected things to steer toward ”Twelve Mirrors,” much less to publicly review his own performance.

But Yang Heng had already finalized the lesson plan with an unquestionable attitude. Once the student took the phone and went to set up the projector, he immediately clapped his hands, his gaze slowly sweeping over the now-quiet students. He said calmly: ”Since time is tight, He and I will briefly walk you through the stage performance of ʼTwelve Mirrors,ʼ analyzing the performance from a character perspective so you can more quickly grasp the essentials of role interpretation.”

Then he turned his head to look at Xiao He and asked: ”Do you still have the original character stage outline you worked from? Would you mind sharing the general content with these students?”

Xiao He: ...Youʼve already said everything. What more can I say?

”I do have it. Iʼll set up a temporary group and share it directly with everyone.”

Xiao He naturally couldnʼt refuse.

But it was only at this moment that Xiao He truly realized how much Yang Heng favored ”Twelve Mirrors”—his only stage play work to date. Even those words that had seemed somewhat presumptuous when they first met were actually genuine insights and thoughts Yang Heng had developed after repeatedly studying the work.

He never expected that the simple birthday party performance would become the catalyst for forming a good relationship with Yang Heng... At least it made all that hard work during that period worthwhile.

And Yang Hengʼs words unsurprisingly drew exclamations from the students.

”Is that the one Bro Xiao performed at his birthday party before?”

”Weʼre so lucky! I saw it live back then, and now I get another chance to watch it up close!”

”What? You actually attended Bro Xiaoʼs birthday party before? Damn, how did you even get a ticket?”

”Oh, I know this one too! That performance by Bro Xiao went viral overseas too.”

”Now that you mention it, I think I remember something—didnʼt a Korean website almost steal Bro Xiaoʼs performance clip back then? Good thing we caught it in time, or it wouldʼve been stolen.”

”Yeah, yeah! Speaking of which, I was actually planning to borrow the performance format from ʼTwelve Mirrorsʼ for my stage design this time. Now I get to hear the creatorʼs personal insights—Iʼm incredibly lucky!”

Xiao Heʼs version of ”Twelve Mirrors” had been extremely popular, even sparking a wave of imitation across the country and spreading many excellent works overseas.

Whether or not ”Twelve Mirrors” was born on an ordinary birthday party stage, the work still held special value.

And the biggest highlight of ”Twelve Mirrors” was playing multiple roles in a single performance. This was a massive challenge for any actor. At least since ”Twelve Mirrors” went viral, not many people had dared to perform twelve roles in one go on stage without making mistakes, the way Xiao He had back then.

Using it for acting technique instruction was indeed an excellent choice.

”Alright.”

Xiao He sighed, quickly scanned the outline, and reviewed the key plot points and character profiles in ”Twelve Mirrors.”

When he looked up again, his face had regained confidence and composure.

”Good. Everyone, take a quick look at the main male leadʼs character profile, and weʼll begin the explanation shortly.”

The students, who had been somewhat scattered, noticed the shift in Xiao Heʼs attitude. Sensing the terrifying pressure radiating from him like a top-tier instructor, they gradually sat down and began reading the files theyʼd received on their phones.

Within half a minute, the classroom fell completely silent.

-

Meanwhile, in the Associate Deanʼs office at the National Theater.

Qu Chengcheng pushed up his reading glasses, looking somewhat surprised at the person before him.

”That kid Li Jian—he didnʼt cause trouble for Xiao Yang this time?”

The messenger gave an awkward laugh: ”Uh, this time itʼs... kind of, but kind of not...”

”Tsk, what do you mean half and half?”

Qu Chengcheng found this odd and grew curious.

”Well, it seems Chief Performer Yang invited a big-name celebrity from outside to tour the theater, and they happened to run into Teacher Li.”

”Whoa, now thatʼs interesting.”

Qu Chengcheng immediately understood what he meant. Growing curious himself, he stood up directly, hands clasped behind his back, and started walking out. ”Letʼs go, letʼs go. Yang Heng did mention he was bringing a friend over a while back. I wonder how things are going now. Letʼs go check it out...”
