Becoming Their Guiding Spirit

# Chapter 59: Regarding Franka’s Social Death ”Where is this?”

As Franka awoke from her dream, the materialized dreamscape around her burst like bubbles in water, turning into darkness.

Franka was a bit bewildered.

She was like someone who had just woken from a dream, looking with some confusion at Lucas Reeve, whose face was a bit grim, and Jessica, who stood beside him with a very strange expression.

”Hm?”

Why is Jessica looking at me like that?

Did I get something strange on my face?

Franka reached up and touched her face. Nothing seemed wrong? What was going on?

Just as Franka was wondering.

The memories from her dream exploded like a shattered thermos, flooding into her mind like a tidal wave. And these memories were different from the hazy recollections of a normal night’s dream.

The memories from this soul dream were as if she had personally experienced them.

Detailed down to every single aspect.

From becoming a ’superstar’ and walking the red carpet, to returning home where ’Jessica’ and ’Lucas Reeve’ came to see her—Franka remembered all these details completely.

At this moment...

Franka seemed to understand something.

She understood why the two of them were looking at her with such strange expressions....

”Hah!!!!!”

”Ahhh!!!”

”You!! You!! I!!!”

An intense sense of shame instantly filled Franka’s entire being. She, who was always composed and could always maintain her composure, never expected to be so easily broken.

She completely lost it.

She covered her face with her hands.

Her whole face was bright red.

”I! You!!!”

Lucas Reeve and Jessica said nothing, just quietly watching Franka ’perform’ on her own. They said nothing, yet they said everything.

Franka was no fool.

Although she didn’t know the reason.

But she definitely knew that Lucas Reeve and Jessica had seen what happened when she was in the dream.

Damn it!!!

Boohoohoo!!!

So embarrassing!!!

Franka now wished she could just find a hole to crawl into, or just resign from Blacksteel Worldwide and go work somewhere no one knew her.

At this moment.

Franka’s inner monologue was very rich.

Finally.

After an unknown amount of time feeling ashamed, Franka recovered a little. She tried to change the subject.

She pretended to be calm, as if nothing had happened, but in reality, her heart was in a complete panic.

”What’s going on?”

Lucas Reeve sighed and explained that everyone had been hit by some strange technique, and their souls were trapped in an illusion.

After hearing Lucas Reeve’s description.

Franka frowned.

”So? This is my soul world?”

”Indeed.”

After a moment of thought.

Franka reached out and poked Lucas Reeve on the forehead. In the real world, her finger would have passed right through, but now, her finger could touch his forehead.

”As I thought....”

And beside them...

Jessica started to panic.

”Eh!! Eh!!!!”

How did they go from talking to touching!!

Could the scene from the dream be real!!

Boohoohoo~~~

Franka now didn’t dare to look Jessica and Lucas Reeve directly in the eye.

Although she forced herself to remain calm, telling herself it was just a dream and not real.

But this dream was too real.

Whenever she made eye contact with Lucas Reeve, she would recall the scene in the dream where she and Lucas Reeve worked together at Blacksteel Worldwide and then fell in love... Although Lucas Reeve heartlessly dumped her later, but... but.....

Franka’s charming face was flushed.

Her fox-like, captivating eyes darted around, not knowing where to look. She covered her mouth with one hand, and the fluffy fox ears on her head twitched left and right. Her fox tail behind her also swished back and forth nervously. Her black-stockinged legs were pressed together at the knees, trembling slightly...

Huff!

Huff!!

Calm down, Franka!

Calm down, Franka!!

She repeated to herself over and over in her mind to calm down. She was an elite mercenary of Blacksteel Worldwide, the most professional of mercenaries. How could she let such a small matter throw her into disarray.

Taking a deep breath.

Franka’s expression returned to its usual calmness.

But when she mentally prepared herself and made eye contact with Lucas Reeve.

In an instant.

Lucas Reeve’s dark, deep eyes, like a bottomless pool, once again pierced through the defenses Franka had prepared in her heart.

Oof~~~

Franka panicked again, her face flushed red. Her mind was perfectly rational, and her head was clear, but why!! Why was she so flustered.

Franka suddenly turned around, her back to the bewildered Jessica and Lucas Reeve.

She repeatedly hit her head with her fist.

But the more she hit it, the clearer the memories of the dream became.

Everyone’s dream was very long. What Lucas Reeve saw was just a coincidence that happened at that particular moment.

In Franka’s memory.

She had truly lived a life in the dream, from childhood to adulthood... and her memories with the dream Lucas Reeve were also incredibly clear, including their first meeting, his confession, their romance, and... the final home run...

Although Franka had no practical experience, but... she wasn’t young anymore. She had definitely seen some films, so she had the necessary material for the dream to continue, unlike Jessica, whose dream automatically chose to skip the crucial step due to a lack of relevant material.

It was precisely because of this.

Franka could no longer look Lucas Reeve in the eye.

Why did I have to read that kind of cliché romance novel!! If it weren’t for that novel, I would never have had such a ridiculous dream.

Boohoohoo~~

Franka’s panicked expression was seen by Jessica.

She felt as if she had been struck by lightning. Her mind went blank, and she felt as if she were floating in the air, swaying unsteadily.

No way!

No way!!

Ah~

Mr. Reeve and Senior Franka~

Oof~

Jessica’s head started steaming as she collapsed to the ground, completely shut down.

——Five minutes later——

Not a single word was spoken between the three.

Franka was so embarrassed she wished she could find a hole to crawl into, Jessica’s mind was racing with things that never happened, and Lucas Reeve was...

Being a spectator!!

Interesting!

It was a pity there was no convertible nearby, otherwise, he would have definitely leaned on the car window and enjoyed the show with a good laugh.

Finally...

Lucas Reeve decided to take the initiative to ease the awkward atmosphere.

As the saying goes.

To alleviate one’s social death, you need to use another person’s social death to fill the void.

”There’s no time, let’s go wake up Liskarm. Franka, are you coming?”

”Liskarm?!”

Franka, who was in the midst of her shame, suddenly had her eyes light up.

”Yes, yes!!!”
