After the Breakup, Indulgence Returned to Cash, and I Topped the Rich List

35: Chapter 35 I already have someone I like!Although his mother’s words could be a bit nagging at times.

However, between the lines, Shen Zhou could genuinely feel the warmth of family.

Hearing his mother mention transferring money, Shen Zhou immediately thought of the tens of millions in system cashbacks in his bank card.

Without hesitation, Shen Zhou directly transferred fifty thousand yuan to his mother via his phone!

Of course, this fifty thousand yuan wasn’t because Shen Zhou was unwilling to spend money on his parents; the main reason was that he hadn’t yet activated a higher limit for WeChat transfers.

Currently, his WeChat could only transfer a maximum of fifty thousand at one time.

Another reason was that Shen Zhou didn’t dare to tell his mother yet that he had made a lot of money.

Put simply, Shen Zhou’s parents were very simple farmers; after a lifetime of hard work, the largest amount of money they had ever seen rarely exceeded one or two hundred thousand.

Therefore, if he transferred too much money to his parents all at once, Shen Zhou was genuinely worried that they wouldn’t be able to handle such a shock and might get scared into a health issue.

”Mom, I have money! I just completed a big project for the company and was rewarded with one hundred thousand!”

”Take this fifty thousand to spend. Eat well, drink well. Don’t let Dad go out to work anymore. When it’s time to rest, just rest. Playing cards and taking walks every day wouldn’t be bad either!”

Just after transferring the fifty thousand yuan, Shen Zhou began to urge them over the phone.

”Ding, WeChat transfer received!”

Soon, the notification of the arrival of funds came through the phone, and at the same time, his mother’s startled voice came through the receiver.

”Oh dear, son, why did you transfer so much money to Mom!”

”You child, how thoughtless you are!”

”How long must you have worked to earn this! Mom already told you, Mom isn’t short on money. The important thing is that you take care of yourself...”

”I know, I know, Mom. I have something else to do, I’m hanging up now!”

In the end, Shen Zhou didn’t continue the chatter with his mother.

Shen Zhou knew his mother too well; parents all over the world love their children in the same way.

No matter how detailed or comprehensive their advice is, they will ultimately feel that they haven’t advised enough or cared enough.

Therefore, at times like this, the best method is to find an excuse to end the call.

Anyway, the days ahead are long, and the good life for his parents is still to come.

In the future, he just needs to make a little more time to take his mom and dad to enjoy a few more days of a good life.

Once they have lived the good life enough, his parents will get used to it.

...

A week passed quickly.

During this week, Shen Zhou accompanied Lin Lan to meet four or five investors, but the results were not very good.

Most of the investors, upon hearing that their variety show project had previously been brokered by Wan Yiquan, were unwilling to get involved anymore.

Lin Lan had no choice but to take Shen Zhou to the bank a few more times. The bank did agree to try to provide a loan to her company.

However, the timeline didn’t seem to be settled; Lin Lan needed it to be resolved within two or three days or a week.

But the bank didn’t give her a definite answer.

This added a trace of exhaustion to Lin Lan’s interactions with Shen Zhou over these few days.

Fortunately, besides those things in bed, Shen Zhou also had some skills in massage therapy.

And this made Lin Lan’s reliance on Shen Zhou increase even further.

Besides working with Lin Lan and doing that thing together, Shen Zhou also specifically made a trip to the previous Dealership on Wednesday.

Going to the Dealership was naturally to pick up the car, and on the way, to check on Xiao Shen to see if she had really been promoted to sales manager by Sales Director Wang.

Fortunately, Sales Director Wang kept his word; Xiao Shen had now become the sales manager of the Dealership.

To express her gratitude to Shen Zhou, Xiao Shen specifically found a noon hour to invite Shen Zhou to watch a movie, what was it called... oh right, the movie called Ne Zha.

As for why it wasn’t scheduled for the evening, that was mainly because it conflicted a bit with Lin Lan’s schedule.

Lin Lan was currently at a critical stage in her career, so for this week, Shen Zhou basically hadn’t returned home at night.

Soon, the day for the blind date arranged by his mother arrived.

On Saturday, just after Shen Zhou left Lin Lan’s residential complex, he hurried back to the apartment he rented.

The blind date was scheduled for ten in the morning, and Shen Zhou still needed to tidy himself up a bit to look like he was going on a blind date.

Otherwise, if the blind date failed, his mother would definitely nag him endlessly over the phone about this and that before she would be willing to let it go.

Diecaixuan, a rather famous dessert shop in the Magic City.

Shen Zhou didn’t know why the other party had asked to meet at this place.

However, with the mindset of ”since I’m already here, eating a cake won’t hurt,” Shen Zhou was happy to go along.

The desserts at this Diecaixuan were quite good, and the prices were considered relatively affordable.

From this, Shen Zhou could determine that the blind date candidate his mother had introduced to him probably wasn’t a gold digger.

Those kinds of gold-digging women, in general, would head to high-end restaurants for blind dates, where eating a meal costing thousands or tens of thousands was standard practice.

Some would even bring best friends, or aunts and uncles to the date; they would want to eat the guy out of house and home in a single date.

Although Shen Zhou hadn’t experienced many blind dates like that, he still remembered very clearly his past experiences eating with Lu Qinglian.

Lu Qinglian was pretty much like that; she wouldn’t eat cheap food, and she wouldn’t ride in cheap cars.

After waiting for about ten minutes, Shen Zhou saw a woman wearing a hat and sunglasses walk into the Diecaixuan shop, looking travel-worn.

Before Shen Zhou could see clearly who the person was, the woman seemed to have discovered something and walked up to him in a few steps.

”Shen Zhou, why are you here?”

”Hm? Do I know you?”

While Shen Zhou was surprised, he saw the person who had arrived directly take off her hat and remove her sunglasses.

”Mu Shanshan? Why are you here?”

”I’m here for a blind date! My blind date candidate and I agreed to meet here!”

”Oh, right, regarding the last time, I still wanted to thank you, but I forgot to get your number that day. Xiaomin and I have broken up again, so I was planning to go to your company to find you when I had time later.”

”Since you’re here today, wait a moment, okay? Once I contact my blind date candidate and tell him it’s not a match, I’ll chat with you!”

Mu Shanshan’s tone was fast, as if she were afraid that Shen Zhou would leave in a moment.

”Wait, you’re here for a blind date, so where is your candidate? You haven’t even met yet and you want to say it’s not a match! That seems a bit inappropriate, doesn’t it!”

Shen Zhou was stunned by what Mu Shanshan said, then his curiosity was piqued. It seemed he had guessed something, so he asked directly.

”You don’t know, I originally didn’t want to come for a blind date, but I couldn’t resist my mom, who insisted that I go. That’s why I came.”

”Actually, actually I...”

Mu Shanshan stopped halfway through her explanation.

A visible blush appeared on her face.

”What’s wrong with you? You’re acting really strange today. It’s okay, just say what you need to say. We’re both adults, is there any need to be shy?”

”It’s not that, it’s just that I already have someone I like, so I don’t want to waste my blind date candidate’s time!”
