After the Breakup, Indulgence Returned to Cash, and I Topped the Rich List

3: Chapter 3 I’m no worse than her, am I?Second floor.

Pushing open the heavy solid wood door, a delicately decorated private dining room came into view.

The room’s color scheme was dominated by warm gold and deep brown, with several art pieces hanging on the walls.

Soft light spilled down from the ceiling, adding a touch of warmth and elegance to the entire space.

A solid wood dining table sat in the center of the room, covered with a pristine white tablecloth, and the silver tableware shimmered with a delicate luster under the lights.

Seeing the exquisite decor inside the private room, Han Bingqing’s eyes revealed surprise, and her hand holding onto Shen Zhou tightened unconsciously, making Shen Zhou instantly feel that firm sensation.

”Senior, this place is so beautiful, but won’t the bill be a bit too high?” Han Bingqing asked with some unease.

”Don’t worry, just eat and drink to your heart’s content. If all else fails, I’ll just stay behind and wash dishes!”

Shen Zhou laughed.

A short joke instantly relaxed Han Bingqing’s tense mood.

The Waitress pulled out the chair, Shen Zhou sat down smoothly, and Han Bingqing followed closely behind, sitting directly beside Shen Zhou as if afraid someone would snatch him away.

Han Bingqing craned her neck to look around and asked: ”Waitress, let me see the menu!”

The Waitress smiled and said: ”I’m sorry, miss, we don’t have a menu here, only dining standards!”

Shen Zhou became interested: ”What kind of standards?”

”There are 888, 1,888, all the way up to 88,888!”

Han Bingqing leaned into Shen Zhou’s ear and whispered: ”Senior, why don’t we try the 888 standard? I don’t know if this restaurant’s food is any good.”

”Silly girl, the reviews for this restaurant are top-tier in terms of taste, environment, and service, so how could it not be delicious?”

Shen Zhou smiled, turned to the Waitress, and said: ”Go straight for the 88,888 one!”

”Very well, sir!”

The Waitress exited and thoughtfully closed the door.

Knowing that only she and Shen Zhou were left in the room, Han Bingqing recovered from her shock.

Did someone really spend over eighty thousand on a single meal?

Han Bingqing turned her head stiffly, her beautiful eyes looking at Shen Zhou filled with surprise and a hint of admiration.

”Senior, surely a meal doesn’t need to cost this much? What if Senior Lu finds out?”

After saying this, Han Bingqing stood up: ”I’ll go find the Waitress and ask if we can cancel it!”

Shen Zhou pressed Han Bingqing back into her seat: ”Actually, I haven’t had a chance to tell you, but Lu Qinglian and I have already broken up.”

”Broken up? When did this happen?”

Han Bingqing sat back down in a daze.

”Just this morning!” Shen Zhou spread his hands.

There was no reason to hide it.

Han Bingqing held Shen Zhou’s hand and comforted him: ”What a pity, I thought I would witness Senior and Senior Lu go from school uniforms to a wedding gown!”

Shen Zhou smiled: ”Do you really think it’s a pity? But why do I get the feeling you’re eager to try something?”

”No way!”

Han Bingqing flatly denied it, but ever since Shen Zhou mentioned he was single, her gaze hadn’t left him.

Shen Zhou changed the subject: ”Didn’t you say you had a question for me? While we wait for the food, ask away!”

Han Bingqing gave Shen Zhou a resentful look, then took out a music score.

”Senior, recently an entertainment company is holding a campus song competition, and the top three get a direct contract.”

”I don’t think I have much of an advantage with covers, so I plan to write an original song, but I’ve hit a bottleneck.”

”I hope Senior can give me some pointers!”

Han Bingqing handed the score to Shen Zhou.

Shen Zhou opened it and looked; in just a few sentences, he pointed out the flaws in the score and suggested improvements. In the professional field, Shen Zhou’s talent was unquestionable.

By the end, Han Bingqing’s eyes were filled with little stars as she looked at Shen Zhou.

”Alright, that’s all I can offer. As long as your singing is up to par, this score is enough!”

Finally, Shen Zhou cleared his throat and said.

”Senior, you are truly amazing!”

Han Bingqing threw herself directly into Shen Zhou’s arms, cupped his cheeks, and kissed him.

After the kiss, she seemed to realize what she had just done; her pretty face flushed red as she got up from Shen Zhou’s arms and returned to her seat.

”Senior, I was just too excited just now!”

Shen Zhou rubbed his chin with a look of reminiscence: ”That’s a good habit, keep it up. It would be even better if it lasted a little longer; I hadn’t even had time to feel it before it ended.”

That moment just now gave Shen Zhou his first intuitive understanding of Han Bingqing’s figure.

Let’s just say, one look and you could tell she had been well-nourished during her growth spurt.

”I’m ignoring you!”

Han Bingqing turned her face away, acting as if she were angry.

But within two minutes, she couldn’t help but turn her head back to peek at Shen Zhou.

At this moment, the Waitress pushed a dining cart into the room.

Dish after dish, looking expensive, were served onto the table.

The Waitress introduced them enthusiastically:

”The first dish, roasted squab with black truffle. The skin of the squab is roasted to a golden crisp, and the aroma of the black truffle is rich and unique.”

”This is steamed leopard coral grouper, the fish body is intact, the skin shows a vibrant red, and the meat is as white as snow, melting in the mouth.”

”Also, French foie gras with truffle sauce. The foie gras is pan-seared to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with an enticing sheen on the surface, and when cut open, it reveals a delicate pink inside.”

”Braised sea cucumber with abalone. The abalone used is top-grade South African abalone, with thick meat and a chewy texture.”

”Bird’s nest stewed with snow frog. The bird’s nest is crystal clear, the snow frog is smooth and tender, and the soup is sweet and nourishing.”

”...”

From seafood to precious ham, from Kobe steak to state banquet dishes.

The entire table was barely enough to hold them all.

”Finally, please allow me to introduce to our two distinguished guests...”

The Waitress brought out a bottle of red wine. The bottle had smooth, elegant lines, and the label was simple yet exquisite, subtly showcasing its extraordinary origin.

”Château Latour dry red wine! Priced at 66,666!”

Immediately after, the Waitress opened and decanted the wine while talking incessantly about it.

Han Bingqing didn’t understand a word; she was currently terrified by the price of this wine.

66,666. This whole table was only over 80,000, and a single bottle of wine was actually this expensive!

”Two distinguished guests, please enjoy your meal!”

The Waitress exited the private room, leaving behind Han Bingqing, who was in shock, and Shen Zhou, who had already begun to take small sips.

Han Bingqing looked at Shen Zhou in surprise, feeling as if she were meeting this senior for the first time.

”What are you looking at? Eat!”

Han Bingqing snapped out of it and grabbed Shen Zhou’s hand as he reached out with his Kuai Zi: ”Senior, wait, let me take a photo for my Moments!”

An 88,000 feast, 66,000 red wine—this isn’t something you get to taste every day.

How could she not post this to her Moments!

Han Bingqing looked at Shen Zhou imploringly.

Shen Zhou raised his wine glass, signaling to Han Bingqing that she could do whatever she liked.

”Senior is the best!”

Han Bingqing was so excited she almost jumped three meters high on the spot. She took out her phone and snapped photos non-stop, then carefully selected the eight photos she was most satisfied with. Then, she quietly shifted the phone camera to just capture the lower half of her and Shen Zhou’s bodies.

The photo stopped just at Shen Zhou’s neck, not capturing his face.

Han Bingqing put together a nine-grid layout and posted it to her Moments before finally starting to taste the food with satisfaction.

”Delicious!”

Stars appeared in Han Bingqing’s eyes.

However, while the food at Yunyan Restaurant was good, it inherited the common flaw of all high-end restaurants: small portions!

Even with only two people, Shen Zhou and Han Bingqing could finish it all.

The entire bottle of Château Latour red wine was also finished by the two of them. Han Bingqing’s pretty face was flushed, her eyes three-parts hazy, as she sat on Shen Zhou’s lap, lying softly in his arms.

”Senior, can I stop calling you Senior? Brother Shen Zhou!”

Han Bingqing whispered into Shen Zhou’s ear, her voice coquettish, enough to make one’s heart melt.

After speaking, Han Bingqing straightened her body, displaying her graceful curves in front of Shen Zhou.

”Brother Shen Zhou, I’m not worse than Senior Lu, am I?”

”Not at all. In some places, you could say you’re even better.”

Shen Zhou leaned back in his chair and asked nonchalantly: ”You should sober up, otherwise, if other men see their goddess, the department beauty, looking like this, your filter will be shattered into pieces!”

”Let it shatter. Don’t I understand the minds of those stinky men? Late-night snacks, tsk tsk tsk, do they think I don’t know what they’re thinking?” Han Bingqing wrinkled her delicate nose.

”You’re including me in that insult; be careful or I’ll punish you!” Shen Zhou laughed.

”How will you punish me? A whip or a belt?”

Han Bingqing licked her lips, actually looking a little expectant.

Shen Zhou didn’t respond. Anyone who believed what was said in this situation would be a fool.

Besides, what if she reported you later? What would you do then?

He didn’t want to end up in jail.

It wasn’t that Shen Zhou thought Han Bingqing was that malicious, but one must always be on guard against others.

Shen Zhou patted Han Bingqing’s bottom: ”I should go pay the bill!”

He was now even more looking forward to seeing how much of a rebate Han Bingqing would bring him this time!
