I am God LSLCCF

Chapter 228: Beings from Two Hundred Million Years Ago

In the temple.

Shelly retrieved the spirit’s magic mirror she had previously discarded by the window and began examining the images it displayed.

She saw the winged people circling above the plateau, discovering these intelligent beings who had broken free from their chains.

The winged people had built nests on the highlands and mountain ranges, and had already produced some second-generation winged people. At this moment, they were taking the newborn winged people to spread their wings and leap from the cliffs.

Those newly fledged winged people, under the protection of their parents, learned to fly amidst the howling winds.

Shelly was overjoyed. She spread her arms like the winged people, hopping and skipping to Yin Shen’s side to tell him.

“God Yinsai!”

“The winged people I created didn’t die after all!”

“They ran off to the continent, and somehow ended up in the exact homeland I had chosen for them earlier. They’ve even given birth to quite a few little winged people in the home I had selected for them.”

Yin Shen stroked Shelly’s hair: “This is their destiny.”
“Although you are their creator, you must also learn to let go.”

“From the moment you bestowed wisdom upon them, they gained their own emotions and destiny. If you always try to hold onto them, they will only become tools.”

“Only after setting them free will they bloom in completely different ways.”

Shelly said: “Of course!”

“They are a race that can fly, created by my own hands.”

“They’re really amazing.”

After saying this, Shelly pouted again.

“They’re just a bit ugly.”

Yin Shen laughed: “Perhaps in the eyes of the snake people and winged people, you’re not good-looking either.”

Shelly jumped up at once: “How is that possible? I’m the most beautiful.”

Yin Shen held Shelly’s hand as they walked down from the temple, treading the long staircase and entering the sea of Sun Cup flowers.

As they passed through the flower sea, a gust of wind arose.

The wind made the flower cups sway left and right, causing the dense flower sea to become sparse.

Suddenly, Shelly saw a stone tablet in the wind, with Redlichia’s story carved on it. In front of the stone tablet knelt a statue of a Person of the Abyss, holding a stone helmet in its hands.

“Who is this?”

Yin Shen casually said: “The first king of the People of the Abyss.”

“He followed the poet Tito here and finally rested eternally in this place.”

Shelly curiously examined the figure: “So this is what the People of the Abyss look like, the descendants of those patricidal sinners.”

The two of them looked around for a while before leaving the flower sea.

Yin Shen stood at the edge of the God-Given Land, looking down at the Divine Cup below.

He gazed at the radiance of the Divine Cup and the Dreams of Law floating in the cup.

Yin Shen’s gaze penetrated through layers of Dream of Law bubbles, seeing a deity sleeping inside.

That was the ruler of dreams and the spirit guarding the Dream Realm.

Shelly’s eyes followed Yin Shen’s, and she too saw the beautiful being at the root of all dreams.

“God,” Shelly asked, “why is she still sleeping?”

Shelly said to Yin Shen: “She must be very lazy, like you, fond of sleeping in.”

Yin Shen smiled and said to Shelly: “She will wake up eventually. In the long years, whether it’s the sadness of parting or the joy of reunion, it’s always a pleasant surprise.”

“There’s no need to rush, and certainly no need to be anxious.”

“Sometimes, being able to anticipate is also a wonderful experience.”

Yin Shen’s gaze shifted to the mortal world, where the snake people’s civilization had begun to flourish.

After Shelly left, they actually unleashed even greater potential.

The snake people began to truly learn how to use the most powerful force Shelly had given them: wisdom.

“Let’s wait for the fruits of civilization to ripen!”

Shelly proudly told Yin Shen: “The life I created must be very powerful. The snake people will be formidable, and the winged people will be amazing in the future.”

Yin Shen patted her shoulder, and she held her head even higher.

As Yin Shen withdrew his gaze, he glanced at the deep sea at the bottom of Ruhe Beast Island.

At the bottom of the deep sea, a being encased in red crystal ice was gradually emitting ripples.

Someone was about to wake up—

After the Mother of Life, creator of the snake people and winged people, left the mortal world and returned to the realm of God, the winged people she created began to multiply on the plateau of the continent, while the snake people split into three parts and set off for distant lands, beginning different ways of life.

Snake Mother Sermos’s daughter Avel led the hunting team to the north, where they adopted fishing and hunting as their way of survival.

However, this lifestyle also meant that they would find it difficult to maintain strong cohesion.

Moreover, when they left the City of Life, Avel was already quite old.

After being the leader for less than ten years, Avel passed away due to illness.

The entire clan that lived by fishing and hunting completely lost the backbone that held them together, dispersing into villages and clans of various sizes.

This branch of the snake people gradually scattered along various coastal areas, becoming accustomed to a life of fishing and hunting.

Initially, they only hunted in the near seas. But gradually, as the clan grew larger, the near seas could no longer satisfy them.

They created rafts and small boats, shuttling between the sea and small islands.

In their fishing and hunting life, they discovered that there were scattered groups of islands of various sizes in the western sea.

Many snake people began to settle directly on the large and small islands to the west, dispersing into clans of various sizes.

In the future, their clan would even gradually land on the western continent, with a small portion scattering across the peninsula of the northern continent.

They became a branch of snake people that developed away from Ruhe Beast Island.

Turning their clan into seeds, scattering towards distant lands—

Snake Mother’s grandson, Pence, was once the leader of the taming team. His name meant “rock,” but it also had some connotations of “mountain.”

When he was born, Snake Mother Sermos personally named him, hoping he would be as strong as a rock and have a physique like a mountain.

He led a group of snake people to establish a new city at the foot of the mountain where the City of Life was located. As a snake people community formed with the taming team at its core, they became a clan of snake people who lived by herding toothed beasts.

Pence was a very ambitious person, and he was also the only male among the three team leaders, which was very rare in the former City of Life.

Because in the City of Life, female snake people had a much higher status than male snake people.

Pence couldn’t compete for the position of hunting team leader, losing to Avel.

But because he was the one who found the toothed beasts, he took the opportunity to become the leader of the taming team.

Pence chose to stay at the foot of the City of Life. Although the former City of Life had long since risen to an invisible height with the mountain, he still had his own ambitions.

He wanted to use his own strength to restore the former glory, to build a city as magnificent as the City of Life at the foot of the mountain, to prove that his branch of the snake people was the orthodox lineage of the snake people.

He longed to lead the snake people to multiply and thrive here, making the clan even more numerous than the former City of Life.

“What is there to fear?”

“We have toothed beasts, we have great power, we can command the power of monsters.”

“We have everything. As long as we unite, we can turn the impossible into possible.”

“Don’t be afraid or panic, follow me to build a new home.”

“We will carve out a new home here, one that is better and bigger than before.”

“We will have more clan members, far surpassing our former companions.”

This is what Pence told his clan members, inspiring those who were lost and didn’t know what to do at the time.

At least the last point, he did achieve.

Under his leadership, the snake people clan living by herding beasts grew stronger day by day. Newborns gradually grew into adults, and their numbers increased rapidly.

However, they also gradually discovered a very serious problem.

Because they couldn’t settle down in one place, although they built a city imitating the former City of Life, they couldn’t take root there permanently.

This land couldn’t accommodate their clan.

In the past, when their population was sparse, raising a small number of toothed beasts and gathering some ferns could satisfy their daily needs.

But as the clan grew larger, they raised more and more toothed beasts, and the area around the city simply couldn’t support them living there.

The toothed beasts would quickly eat all the fern plants on the ground until there was nothing left to eat.

This also made the snake people clan living by herding beasts realize that nothing is infinite.

Once the vegetation was damaged beyond repair, they also lost the foundation of their survival.

In order to raise more toothed beasts, they had to start migrating.

Standing before the city he had built with his own hands, Pence was heartbroken.

But looking back at his clan members, Pence still made up his mind.

“Let’s leave!”

The snake people left the city, carrying their belongings towards distant lands. More and more people gathered in the procession, converging into a long dragon.

They followed the rivers and marshes of various sizes downstream, beginning one migration after another.

Whenever the clan developed to a certain extent, when the land could no longer accommodate so many people to survive, they would split off part of the clan, letting them migrate to more distant places to survive.

When Pence was still alive, they could maintain a whole, with everyone following Pence as their leader.

But after Pence died, they, like Avel’s clan, completely split up.

They formed one tribe after another.

Each tribe had its own leader, and other tribes had no right to command them.

These tribes of various sizes lived by herding beasts, scattered in the western and central parts of Ruhe Beast Island.

Although in the end, Pence didn’t realize his idea of building a city as glorious as the City of Life, with an unimaginably peaceful and prosperous life like when Snake Mother Sermos was still around.

But Pence’s decision wasn’t wrong; he made the right choice.

If they had stayed in the original city, they would never have been able to develop.

Dispersing to various places like this, however, allowed the snake people clan to grow in number, occupying the central and western lands of Ruhe Beast Island like a wildfire.

Many years later, the city they had once built at the foot of the mountain now lay in ruins, its walls completely overtaken by trees and ferns. The vegetation that had once been cleared away had reclaimed this place under the power of time.

A herding tribe returned to this place. They pushed aside the green leaves, cutting down the ferns as they entered the city.

They slithered along the broken roads on their snake tails, marveling at the buildings in this city.

They felt the remnants of the City of Life, the aura of a civilization that surpassed what they could achieve or possess under God’s guidance and protection.

The aesthetically pleasing sculptures here, the poems praising God and the Snake Mother carved on stones.

All of this left the snake people of this tribe in awe.

Finally, they came to the foot of the mountain.

They looked up at the mountain that pierced the sky and sea of clouds like a sword, their expressions solemn and devout.

They knew that at the top of this high mountain was the legendary City of Life.

The domain of Shelly, the legendary creator of all life.

This was a legend passed down through generations, and they firmly believed that even now, Snake Mother Sermos was still in that city.

Suddenly, a snake person discovered something.

He ran out, shouting to the tribe and gesticulating towards the place he had just come from.

“Here!”

“Here!”

The snake people gathered around, pushing aside the jungle leaves and entering.

At the foot of the mountain was a cave, the most central place in the entire city, which should have been left by their ancestor Pence.

The snake people entered this cave and saw that it was filled with paintings.

It was said that Snake Mother Sermos had once received various miraculous creations from the temple, and that she herself wore beautiful clothing that only God could wear, adorned with the most beautiful ornaments.

These paintings must have been created using these miraculous items, drawn by Pence who had directly received wisdom from Snake Mother Sermos.

The murals in the cave were so vibrant.

And Pence, who grew up in the City of Life and inherited Snake Mother Sermos’s wisdom, possessed an aesthetic sense far beyond these snake people.

The murals he painted were exquisite and carried a strong religious flavor.

The murals depicted all the stories about Snake Mother Sermos, the legends of this progenitor of the snake people.

Pence didn’t embellish Snake Mother Sermos in any way. The snake people from the City of Life had learned one thing under the will of the Mother of Life: never lie to God.

Snake Mother Sermos would not lie to God, and the snake people would not lie to Snake Mother Sermos.

Therefore, these legends were somewhat different from the later legends of the snake people tribes, but undoubtedly the version closest to the truth.

The murals depicted the image of Snake Mother Sermos, the deity who devoured the sky and the sun, and also portrayed the appearance of the City of Life.

They mainly narrated the story of Snake Mother Sermos undergoing God’s four trials, how she bred the snake people race in the wilderness, and how she repeatedly led the snake people to receive God’s blessings through various tests.

Until she became God’s apostle, possessing the great power bestowed by God.

But in the end, because of the sin of jealousy, she killed God’s creation and was punished by God, transformed into a great serpent and left in the City of Life.

The story of the past has become the legend of today.

Finally, it has become an immortal epic—

Southeast of Ruhe Beast Island.

Alcina, the former leader of the planting team in the City of Life, led her clan to establish their own city here, named the City of Fire Protection.

In the center of the city was an altar with a fire demon and an ever-burning bonfire.

Originally, they were no different from the herding tribes, except that they raised toothed beasts by planting fern plants, consuming only a small amount themselves, as ordinary fern plants were not sufficient to meet the dietary needs of the snake people.

But one day, when their city lord and Fire Guardian Alcina was passing by the forbidden Moon Light Jungle with her people, they discovered some strange things growing on the outskirts of the Moon Light Jungle.

The snake people didn’t dare to enter the Moon Light Jungle, but they also knew that as long as they didn’t enter, there would be no danger.

They gathered around, looking at this peculiar plant.

It was somewhat similar to the creations in the Moon Light Jungle, but much smaller and shorter, and it didn’t emit that strange phosphorescence.

This was clearly a type of fern, with layers of leaves growing on the outside and a ball growing in the center.

“What kind of plant is this?”

Alcina examined it and plucked the ball growing on top of this plant.

As the former leader of the planting team, Alcina had an intuitive sense for the potential uses of plants. Her first thought was whether this could be edible.

Looking at this plant growing everywhere, she thought that if it was edible, it should be quite easy to cultivate.

A follower brought over a toothed beast, and Alcina placed this thing in front of the toothed beast for it to eat.

If the toothed beast could eat it, they could generally eat it too.

The toothed beast, being of low intelligence, ate whatever was fed to it, completely unaware that Alcina was using it for an experiment.

“Pia! Pia!” The toothed beast made crisp sounds as it chewed.

This thing seemed a bit hard, but it emitted a sweet fragrance.

This made many of the snake people present swallow hard. Sweetness was arguably the rarest luxury for snake people.

Except for the former Snake Mother Sermos and a few of her offspring who had tasted it through God’s grace, no other snake people had ever experienced this flavor.

When they saw that the toothed beast was fine long after eating it, the snake people immediately began discussing.

“It’s fine.”

“This thing can be eaten.”

“It seems quite tasty.”

After seeing that the toothed beast was fine after eating this thing, a snake person couldn’t resist digging one up from the ground.

He held the autumn fruit and took a bite. The flesh was a bit firm, but as soon as he bit through it, there was a sweet taste.

He immediately shouted excitedly: “It’s delicious.”

“It’s really delicious.”

He invited other snake people to taste it, and the snake people present immediately nodded continuously.

The snake people clan who lived by planting cheered endlessly. For them, discovering a new plantable and edible food was a great thing.

Alcina, looking at the ferns covering the ground, had a new idea. Perhaps they didn’t need to plant anything to feed the toothed beasts; they could directly plant crops for their main food source.

This way, their food source would be more stable.

Alcina brought this edible plant back to the City of Fire Protection and named it the Curled Ball Fern.

The Moon Light Jungle was a plant group derived from the power of the Moon Magic Fern protruding from the ground, and this Curled Ball Fern growing on the edge of the Moon Light Jungle was clearly a mutated variety born by chance due to the radiation of the power of the Ruhe Beast’s Moon Magic Fern.

Its roots and leaves were edible, and the fern ball that grew like a ball was particularly suitable as food for snake people to eat and cultivate.

Alcina, the city lord of the City of Fire Protection, began to promote the Curled Ball Fern. The snake people opened up more and more fields and planted this food.

Gradually, this food replaced the meat of toothed beasts and fish, becoming the staple food of the snake people.

The snake people of the City of Fire Protection completely became a clan with planting as their survival skill.

Their clan’s mobility began to decrease. Once their clan took root somewhere, they could continue to live there.

Their food source was stable, and the clan gradually expanded.

With the City of Fire Protection as the center, numerous villages and towns gradually formed.

They had developed the embryonic form of a city-state.

From then on, the three split snake people clans developed different lifestyles.

One became fishing and hunting islanders, another became herding tribes.

And the last one, the previously inconspicuous planting team and the City of Fire Protection opened up by Alcina, ultimately inherited the complete legacy left by Snake Mother Sermos—

The snake people continuously opened up and discovered new territories in the wilderness, gradually illuminating this vast island and world.

And in a wilderness to the south, something buried deep in the soil emitted light.

It was clearly not a natural creation; it possessed the power of ability.

It came from the previous era.

This was a huge house, once with fairy-tale-like colors and structure, with beautiful windows and chimneys.

But after an incredibly long time, it was now only filthy.

Full of mottled rust and a sense of dilapidation.

However, with the descent of God and the return of the Divine Cup, the root artifact of Dream Ability, to this world, it was also constantly recovering its power.

At this moment, the giant wheel behind the house suddenly began to turn.

“Clang clang~”

“Clang clang clang~”

The turning wheel made a thunderous sound, stirring up sand and stones.

The filthy miracle tool emitted miraculous light.

Miracle Tool: Magic Wheel House.

It was the tool of Vivien, the third-generation sage of the Trilobite people’s Temple of Truth. Now it seemed to be sensing something.

The view shifted to the cliff on the southern edge of Ruhe Beast Island near the sea. Penetrating through the earth and ocean, one could see a huge red crystal in the deepest part.

This enormous crystal was deeply embedded in Ruhe Beast Island, becoming one with it.

At first glance, it looked like amber magnified millions of times.

The red crystal originated from a powerful life form of the previous era. Within the crystal was frozen a small island only a dozen miles across, sealing ancient ruins and ancient apostles.

It was she who sealed this small island, recording the glorious civilization from two hundred million years ago.

At this moment, the figure sitting on the seat deep in the ruined building clearly changed. The woman in the sage’s robe sitting on the chair had light continuously bursting from her eyes, each time stronger than the last.

Around her, one after another, the shadows of ancient Trilobite people condensed and then dissipated in the blink of an eye.

Suddenly, her finger twitched.

A violent storm erupted on the sea, surging over the cliffs of southern Ruhe Beast Island and crashing against the land.

Blood color spread across the sea, turning the ocean crimson.

The moon in the sky reflected the luster of the ocean, gradually being eroded into a red color.

The snake people in the south of Ruhe Beast Island only needed to look up at the sky to see the blood-colored sky and a dark red moon.
