Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 765: Immemorial Dragon Elephant Fist Art

As they reached the top of the staircase, the hallway ahead opened into a grand corridor lined with bronze doors etched with countless symbols and protective runes glowing faintly blue. Powerful auras pulsed behind those doors like distant thunder, and Max could sense the weight of centuries of accumulated power hidden within.

Elder Liam shot him a sideways glance, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes. ”Consider this your first step into a far larger world, Max. Choose wisely. What you pick today could shape your path forward in ways you can’t yet imagine.”

Max nodded, his eyes blazing with quiet determination as he followed Elder Liam through the polished corridors of the Hunter Association Tower, each step carrying him deeper into the heart of secrets and power he was determined to claim for himself. His mind was already working at lightning speed, planning and calculating how to leverage every advantage this new identity as a guest elder could offer.

A while later, after passing several guarded staircases and hallways inscribed with faintly glowing runes, Elder Liam and Max finally arrived before the threshold of the first floor—a section forbidden to anyone beneath the status of Level 1 elder.

The moment they stepped into the new area, Max could feel a subtle shift in the atmosphere, an undercurrent of power and authority that hummed in the air like a silent current.

Around them, several middle-aged men and women moved with quiet purpose, exuding the calm confidence of seasoned experts, their auras faintly restrained yet undeniably powerful. Max cast them a few cursory glances, but quickly realized there wasn’t anything particularly special about the individuals themselves—it was what lay beyond them that mattered.

Elder Liam, wasting no time, led Max deeper into the level, weaving past thick stone columns and bronze doors adorned with shifting formations, until they finally arrived before an imposing set of double doors inlaid with delicate gold filigree.

”This is the Level 1 Treasure Chamber,” Elder Liam announced, his voice low but filled with unmistakable pride. ”Go on. You’re allowed to choose one technique and one skill of any rank from inside. Take your time, but choose wisely.”

Max nodded once more, his heartbeat quickening ever so slightly as Elder Liam pushed open the doors and ushered him in.

Inside, the treasure chamber unfolded before Max like the inner sanctum of a hidden empire. The chamber was vast, its high ceiling supported by towering pillars carved with mythical beasts that seemed to shift and shimmer under the glow of crystal lanterns.

Rows upon rows of display stands stretched out like organized legions, each stand holding a single treasure: weapons with blades that glowed faintly as though breathing, ancient artifacts inscribed with flowing runes, thick scrolls bound in golden silk, and thin jade slips emitting faint pulses of spiritual light.

Max’s eyes swept across the chamber, noticing immediately that beside each weapon, scroll, or artifact was a small crystal tablet displaying numbers glowing in various colors. He understood at once that those numbers must indicate the merit points required to exchange for each treasure, an implicit reminder that every piece of power in this place carried a price.

’Since I can take any one technique, then I’ll choose the strongest one out,’ Max decided, a sharp gleam lighting up his eyes as he walked further into the chamber. His keen gaze moved swiftly across the titles of countless techniques, dismissing many after only a split second’s scrutiny. Sword arts, movement techniques, elemental spells—there were plenty, and many exuded impressive auras, but none truly seized his attention.

Then his gaze landed on a thick jade slip that seemed to pulse with a heavy, ancient pressure. The title carved into the jade glowed with a dull golden light: Immemorial Dragon Elephant Fist Art.

Max felt his breath hitch in his chest. A faint tremor ran through his veins as the energy resonating from the jade slip seemed to respond to something deep inside him. There were many reasons why he zeroed in on this fist art.

First, its aura was overwhelming, brimming with a kind of raw, savage might that spoke of ancient beasts and unyielding force. But more importantly, Max sensed instinctively that this technique would harmonize perfectly with the power locked within his 600 Draconic Essences. A fist art would allow him to channel that monstrous physical strength and dragon bloodline potential directly into his attacks—without the constraints of weaponry.

And the reason he hadn’t chosen a sword art was simple: none of the sword techniques available here held sufficient weight in their descriptions or energy resonance to warrant his choice.

Max speculated, quite reasonably, that the truly formidable sword arts were secured within the higher-level sections of the Hunter Association’s treasure vaults—techniques that only Level 2 elders and above would ever have the privilege of seeing.

Resolute, Max reached forward and lifted the small book gently from its stand, feeling a deep, booming pulse thrumming through his bones as though a colossal dragon and an ancient elephant were roaring together inside his chest.

He turned and walked back to Elder Liam, the weight of his choice settled firmly in his hands, ready.

”This technique?” Elder Liam exclaimed as he leaned forward to peer at the book in Max’s hands, his brows drawing together in a deep furrow, the fine lines of age standing out stark against his weathered face.

He exhaled slowly, a faint tension creeping into his posture as he lifted a hand and tapped the edge of the jade slip with a finger glowing faintly with condensed spiritual light. ”You should know, Max, that the Immemorial Dragon Elephant Fist Art isn’t some ordinary technique. It demands an extremely formidable body to practice it safely. Otherwise—”

He paused, locking eyes with Max, his gaze sharp as a blade. ”—otherwise, even attempting to practice it might cripple your meridians, rupture your bones, or outright kill you if your physique is too weak to endure the force it unleashes. Many elders far stronger than you have tried—and paid the price in blood and broken bodies.”

Max understood the requirements and that’s why he chose the technique in the first place. ”I know,” he said firmly, his voice low but filled with an unwavering certainty that seemed far older than his years.

He tightened his grip on the jade slip, as though feeling the promise of unimaginable power thrumming within its cool surface. ”But I’ve already decided.”

He didn’t bother explaining about his 600 Draconic Essences or the monstrous resilience of his body born from countless transformations and battles. He didn’t mention the bloodlines boiling in his veins or the terrifying physical strength he wielded even without drawing on his full power. Some things were better kept secret, even from allies. But his eyes conveyed the truth: he knew he could handle it.

Elder Liam sighed heavily, shaking his head in resignation, the fine silver strands of his hair shimmering under the lantern light as they swayed with the motion. ”You young ones...” he muttered, half in exasperation and half in admiration. ”Always so determined to chase the hardest road.” But even as he sighed, a flicker of respect shone in his eyes. ”Alright then, if you’re certain, so be it. The choice is yours. Now, go on and choose a skill to accompany your technique.”

Max nodded once, the hard line of determination softening slightly as he offered Elder Liam a grateful look. Without another word, he turned and began moving through the vast hall once more, his eyes sweeping over the many dazzling displays of skill scrolls.

Skills of every imaginable kind glowed faintly from their places on ornate pedestals, each one radiating its own unique aura—some sharp as lightning, others serene as moonlight, and still others pulsing like coiled serpents ready to strike.
