Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 763: Guest Elder

”I can join...” Max said slowly, the words falling from his lips like cautious drops of water into a deep, dark well. He hesitated for a heartbeat, the silence thick between him and President William. Then, he exhaled, his voice carrying a weight that spoke volumes. ”But I have made some strong enemies you might not like facing.”

President William didn’t even blink, his expression utterly calm, the serene poise of a mountain unshaken by a mere breeze. ”Enemies?” he repeated, his voice steady as polished steel, neither dismissive nor alarmed. ”What enemies could possibly cause the Hunter Association to hesitate?” His gaze drilled into Max, those pale eyes glimmering with a cold wisdom that had seen countless storms and emerged unbowed.

Max gave a small shrug, as though trying to pass it off as something trivial, though the tension in his shoulders betrayed the seriousness beneath his words. ”Black Tortoise God Nation,” he said quietly. The syllables hung in the air like the toll of a great bell, echoing through the stillness of the elegant chamber.

For a brief instant, silence descended between them, heavy and absolute. It felt as though the entire tower held its breath.

Then, to Max’s utter shock, President William sneered—a faint, dismissive twist of his lips that seemed almost out of place on his otherwise composed face. ”Black Tortoise God Nation?” he repeated, his voice carrying a razor edge of disdain as he scoffed lightly. ”Even if you had provoked the entire Four God Nation, I would still recruit you as a guest elder of the Hunter Association.”

Max’s eyes widened, genuine astonishment flickering across his face as his mind reeled. The Four God Nation. The collective might of four of the most terrifying superpowers on planet Acaris.

An alliance of colossal forces whose dominion spanned continents, whose influence ran so deep into the veins of the Middle Domain that even overlord forces thought twice before challenging them. To Max, they had always been a distant behemoth—an untouchable mountain looming on the horizon of power and politics.

And yet here stood President William, brushing them aside as though they were mere thorns in his path.

Max felt the weight of the Hunter Association’s true power hit him like a wave crashing against rock. He had known the Association was strong—one of the few neutral entities standing shoulder to shoulder with the Seven Overlord Forces and the Four God Nation—but he had underestimated how deeply its roots ran, how fiercely its leaders could stand against the tides of the world.

For President William to say those words so casually...it was like hearing the ocean promise to swallow a mountain without even causing ripples.

A silent realization unfurled in Max’s chest, a mingling of awe and sudden wariness. ’Just what kind of existence is the Hunter Association...that even the Four God Nation wouldn’t make them flinch?’ He thought his expression full of astonishment.

”I will join the Hunter Association as a guest elder then,” Max declared at last, his voice clear and decisive, a quiet resolve gleaming in his golden eyes. He’d weighed the risks, the politics, the promises—and the unimaginable opportunity laid before him.

To hesitate now, he knew, would be nothing short of foolishness. Not after President William had so casually declared that even the Four God Nation wouldn’t dissuade him.

Max understood he was standing at the cusp of an entirely new realm of power and influence. To turn away would be to close the door on a future that might never open again.

”Good.” President William’s smile deepened, the faint lines around his eyes creasing with satisfaction as he reached into the wide sleeve of his robe. With a practiced flick of his wrist, he produced a small, square-shaped token carved from some dark, metallic crystal that shimmered under the room’s soft light like liquid midnight. With a casual toss, he sent it sailing through the air.

Max’s hand shot up, catching the token with a soft clink. He lowered his eyes to inspect it, his breath catching slightly as he turned it over in his palm. One side bore his name, ”Max Morgan,” etched in crisp, elegant characters.

Beside it, written in brilliant gold letters that glimmered under the shifting light, were the words ”Guest Elder.” On the opposite side was the Hunter Association’s logo: a stylized emblem of crossed swords wrapped by a coiling serpent and framed by concentric circles, emanating a subtle pressure that spoke of secrets, strength, and authority.

”Since you have now become the guest elder of the Hunter Association, you are entitled to choose one of the Association’s techniques and one skill of your choice,” President William continued, his voice as warm as it was commanding. The old man’s eyes glinted with quiet pride as he regarded Max, as though he were already imagining the young man wearing the mantle of even higher titles within their ranks.

Max nodded, gratitude flickering in his gaze as his mind began to whirl through possibilities. But he hesitated for a fraction of a second before speaking again. ”What about inheritance?” he asked, his tone respectful yet edged with a sharp curiosity.

At that, President William burst out laughing—a low, genuine rumble that filled the modest chamber with warmth. He shook his head, amusement dancing in his pale eyes. ”Kid, don’t be too greedy,” he said, his voice rich with good humor, though carrying the weight of absolute authority. ”Guest Elders, no matter how special they are, are still only guest elders. They wouldn’t have the authority to access the core inheritances of the Hunter Association.”

He tilted his head slightly, studying Max with the piercing gaze of a man who had seen empires rise and fall. ”But,” he continued, leaning forward slightly, his expression shifting to one of sly confidence, ”there is a hierarchy among the elders of the Hunter Association. Not all elders stand on the same level. The higher you rise, the deeper the secrets and the greater the treasures you’re allowed to touch. If you prove yourself worthy, who knows how far you might climb?”

President William waved a dismissive hand, as though to chase away lingering formality. ”Now, go. Elder Liam will explain the finer details to you—your rights, your privileges, and the proper way to wield that token you’re holding.”

Max nodded silently, a faint glint of new determination flickering in his eyes as he turned and stepped out of the quiet room, the heavy door shutting behind him with a soft but decisive thud.
