Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100

Chapter 754: Max’s intentions

But Max was already moving. Golden light exploded around him as he summoned forth his Heavenly Luminance energy in full, forming a brilliant golden sword crackling with divine luminance.

This time, he didn’t hurl it from afar—instead, he gripped the hilt firmly in both hands, his black scales glinting under the shimmering glow as he shot forward like lightning. The battlefield blurred around him into streaks of red and black as he closed the distance in an instant.

Clang!

The golden sword collided with the Ascendant’s jagged, obsidian claws in a blinding shower of sparks. The force of their clash detonated outward like a bomb, sending shockwaves blasting through the ground and pushing back rivers of blood in rolling waves.

Dust and gore exploded into the air as both figures were flung backward, skidding through the broken earth, each leaving trenches gouged deep into the battlefield by the sheer momentum of their retreat.

But neither paused for even a breath. The instant Max’s feet touched ground, he lunged forward again, a golden comet streaking across the chaos. His sword flashed in a blur of light as he executed a flurry of lightning-fast strikes, each swing bursting with the pure essence of his light element, sharp and precise enough to slice through space itself.

The Ascendant met him blow for blow, its claws slashing in brutal arcs, each impact throwing out shockwaves that cracked the ground and sent fragments of black stone spinning into the sky.

Golden trails of sword light intertwined with streaks of obsidian as they battled in a whirlwind of close combat, each clash accompanied by thunderous crashes and explosive flashes. Max’s movements were a seamless fusion of speed, technique, and raw power, his figure constantly shifting in rapid flickers of blue lightning as he dodged killing strikes by mere hairsbreadths.

He channeled every ounce of his Heavenly Luminance energy into his blade, each stroke leaving luminous gashes in the air that seared into the Ascendant’s void-forged flesh, drawing more sprays of black blood that hissed and sizzled on contact with the divine light.

And yet, for every wound he carved into the Ascendant, the creature retaliated with savage fury, its fists hammering down like meteors, its claws raking sparks off Max’s scales. The ground around them fractured under the weight of their titanic blows, forming a spiderweb of cracks radiating outward as the duel raged on in a violent, mesmerizing dance of light and shadow.

All around them, the Second Circle battlefield seemed to blur into insignificance as expertsand Ascendants alike paused, eyes wide, unable to look away from the impossible sight: a lone Master Rank genius holding his ground against a Seventh-Level Champion Rank Ascendant, their battle blazing so fiercely that it illuminated the entire hellish plain like a second sun rising amidst the carnage.

’I can kill the Ascendant if I use my full power,’ Max thought as he battled on, each heartbeat pounding like a drum of war in his ears, his black-scaled form darting and striking with relentless precision amidst the rain of sparks and blood.

Even as he exchanged furious blows with the towering monster, his sharp eyes were constantly shifting, tracking every ripple of energy across the battlefield, and slowly but surely, he maneuvered himself closer and closer to his true target—the figure from the Black Lotus Guild, whose presence pulsed like a dark sun amidst the chaos.

It wasn’t that Max’s strength alone was sufficient to handle a Seventh-Level Champion Rank expert outright. He knew his limits well. At best, if he pushed himself to the very brink, he could handle a Sixth-Level Champion Rank opponent—but against a Seventh-Level Ascendant, he’d be severely pressed.

The only reason he was managing to hold his ground, and even dominate flashes of the battle, was because the Ascendant’s nature was fundamentally vulnerable to him. His Heavenly Luminance light energy wasn’t merely powerful—it was anathema to the Ascendant’s void-forged existence.

Each time his golden strikes landed, they seared deep into the creature’s defenses, disrupting its void energy and ripping gashes into its monstrous form. Whether it was sheer physical might or elemental advantage, Max found he could trade blows toe-to-toe with the Ascendant—something that would have been impossible under normal circumstances.

Yet even with this advantage, Max remained cautious, his mind as calculating as ever amidst the frenzy. ’But that’s not how I want to kill him.’ If he unleashed his true potential—if he poured forth every hidden card, every concepts and techniques lurking in the depths of his arsenal—Max was certain he could crush the Ascendant and stand victorious.

But doing so would be tantamount to baring his soul on this blood-soaked stage for all the eyes of the Middle Domain to see. He would reveal secrets that might be his only insurance for survival against greater threats looming in the shadows.

Max had never been a man who showed all his cards unless he had no other choice—unless his life was hanging by a thread.

And that was precisely why his attention kept drifting to the individual wreathed in surging black flames, an expert from the Black Lotus Guild, who was locked in vicious combat against another Ascendant not far away.

Max’s eyes glimmered with cool, ruthless calculation. ’That’s my key.’

Just then, in a violent clash, Max’s golden sword met the Ascendant’s obsidian claws again, the collision detonating outward with a concussive boom that sent dust and shredded stone exploding into the air.

The Ascendant’s brute force crashed into Max like a hammer into steel, and Max’s figure was blasted backward, tumbling through the smoky haze as his scaled heels dug trenches into the bloodied soil. Sparks flew as his scales scraped along jagged stone, and his body skidded across the battlefield, plowing through a swath of fallen corpses and blackened debris.

And when he finally came to a halt, chest heaving, the dust cleared to reveal that Max had landed precisely where he intended: right before the Black Lotus Guild expert, whose black flames flickered ominously as he parried a strike from the monstrous Ascendant he was fighting.

Their eyes met for the briefest instant—the Black Lotus expert’s gaze sharp and suspicious, Max’s burning with hidden intent.
