Thunderstorm Asthma? I’ll Just Drain the National Power Grid!

68: Clothes ripped off! Golden Thor makes his appearance! The head that had squeezed out of the rift finally revealed its full form.

It had no eyes, no nose, no mouth.

Its “face” was a curved surface made of black carapace.

But at the center of that curved surface, a crimson slit slowly opened.

That was its eye.

A single one.

A cyclops.

And with the appearance of this head, the giant eye that had been suspended in the sky began to become ethereal.

Finally, it transformed into specks of black light, merging into this head.

It had descended.

A true Lord-level existence.

The Abyssal Lord!

“Roar—!!!!”

A roar erupted from that head.

However, this roar did not stir up any sound waves.

Instead, it transformed into a… mental storm that swept across the entire space!

“Ah—!!!!”

The closest competitors didn’t even have time to react.

They clutched their heads, let out a scream, rolled their eyes, and fell straight down.

Those who were fleeing, those who were fighting, those who were hesitating… all competitors, no matter where they were, no matter what they were doing.

At the same time, they felt an agonizing pain in their minds, as if their souls were being torn apart!

“Thump!”

“Thump!”

One figure after another fell.

Su Wanqing’s defense line instantly collapsed.

The burly man holding the shield glared, his shield still held in front of him, but his body had already slumped softly to the ground.

The others who followed her were also no exception.

Su Wanqing’s body trembled violently.

“Buzz—!”

A cold aura erupted from her body, forming a layer of ice crystal armor around her.

The Ice Phoenix Bloodline was instinctively protecting its master!

That layer of ice crystals resisted most of the mental impact.

However, a portion of it still penetrated the defense and pierced into her mind!

“Ugh…”

Su Wanqing let out a muffled groan, her face turning pale.

She knelt on one knee, supporting herself with the ice sword in her hand, preventing herself from collapsing immediately.

She raised her head, looking with difficulty at the perpetrator.

That lone figure still standing.

Lin Yuan!

...The mental storm also swept over Lin Yuan.

Everything before him was spinning.

Darkness surged from all directions, threatening to devour his consciousness.

“Tsk, I was careless…”

“Didn’t they say mental attacks were useless against me? This is a second-stage damage, damn it…”

He felt his body losing control, his eyelids as heavy as a thousand pounds.

Just a second before his consciousness was about to fade.

Deep within his glabella.

That wisp of dormant electric light suddenly trembled!

The Primordial Thunder God Body, activated.

Fatal mental invasion detected...

“Zzzzzzzzzzz—!!!!”

That golden lightning exploded in his spiritual world!

The darkness receded.

Lin Yuan suddenly opened his eyes, gasping for air.

“Hoo… hoo…”

He shook his still heavy head and looked around.

As far as his gaze reached, all the distorted monsters were prostrate on the ground, motionless, as if in worship.

And those competitors… everyone had fallen to the ground.

Unconscious.

Including Su Wanqing, who had just tried to organize a counterattack, now also lay not far away, the ground beneath her covered with a thin layer of frost.

In the entire space, apart from the monsters.

He was the only one left awake.

Lin Yuan retracted his gaze and slowly raised his head.

He looked at the Abyssal Lord radiating terrifying pressure in the sky... Meanwhile.

Outside the Tower of Heaven, in the central assembly plaza.

“Look at the sky!”

A cry of surprise drew everyone’s attention.

The originally clear sky, at some point, began to gather dark clouds.

“Boom—!”

A muffled thunderclap came from deep within the clouds.

Everyone felt as if a giant rock was pressing on their chests, making it hard to breathe.

On the high platform.

Captain Qin Zhan looked up, his expression more solemn than ever before.

“What’s going on?”

“Did the meteorological department issue a thunderstorm warning?”

“Report, commander-in-chief!” An adjutant hurried over, his voice filled with panic, “The Meteorological Administration just sent an urgent communication, the meteorological monitoring network in Beijing and surrounding areas is fully alarmed!”

“Centered on our base, a storm system is forming at an unnatural speed!”

“Its energy level… has far exceeded the scope of natural phenomena!”

Captain Qin Zhan’s pupils constricted.

He suddenly turned his head and looked at the Tower of Heaven, which had completely lost signal.

He had a strong premonition.

All of this was related to what was happening inside the tower!

“That kid…”

He stared intently at the name “Lin Yuan” displayed on the light screen, which was currently on the “Thirteenth Floor”.

“What on earth… are you doing in there?!”

...Inside the Tower of Heaven’s fusion space.

The Abyssal Lord’s single eye slowly rotated.

Finally, it locked onto the only figure still standing on the ground.

It seemed somewhat surprised as well.

That a creature could resist its mental attack.

Buzz—

A malice even more concentrated than before locked onto Lin Yuan.

Lin Yuan felt that gaze.

Cold, brutal, filled with the desire to devour everything.

He looked down at his palm.

C-rank strength was not enough.

To deal with this big guy in front of him, there was only one way.

He took a deep breath.

Then, he closed his eyes.

The Primordial Thunder God Body within him began to operate!

“Zzz…”

A wisp of golden electric light flashed across his body, then vanished.

Immediately after.

Came the second wisp, the third wisp… “Zzzzzzzzzzz—!!!!”

Blinding golden lightning erupted from Lin Yuan’s body with a roar!

His combat uniform was instantly torn to shreds by the violent energy!

The purple arcs were completely replaced.

At this moment, he was entirely enveloped in a layer of golden lightning!

Lin Yuan slowly opened his eyes, his pupils now golden.

He raised his head and looked at the Abyssal Lord in the sky.

“Round two has begun.”
