Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 3031: Chapter 3029: Uses of Scorpions

”It’s good that you think this way, because he hasn’t cleared all the dangers yet, and we have to deal with these ourselves.” As soon as Chu Xiaoqiao finished speaking, Wu Jiang picked up the conversation.

”What did you find?” Chu Xiaoqiao looked toward him.

”Take a look yourself and you’ll see.” Wu Jiang’s voice was trembling; if he hadn’t checked before sitting down, he might have lost his life by now.

”So many scorpions, quick, help me catch them.” Chu Xiaoqiao took out two cloth bags from her backpack, handing one to Wu Jiang and keeping one for herself.

”What are you catching these things for, aren’t you afraid they’ll bite you to death?” Wu Jiang, though a man, wasn’t keen on dealing with such things.

”Be careful and don’t let them bite you, alright?” Chu Xiaoqiao wasn’t backing down; scorpions were valuable, her sister-in-law needed them for making medicine.

And to some extent, what they needed to do was obediently enter her cloth bag; how could she let them get away?

”What do you want these things for?” Wu Jiang was puzzled; these creatures weren’t easy to deal with, and if they went crazy, escaping would be difficult.

”They’re great for making poison,” said Chu Xiaoqiao, half-jokingly.

She couldn’t make medicine, but scorpions were highly poisonous creatures, and using them to make toxic compounds was definitely accurate.

”You’re serious? I’d rather not catch them then.” Wu Jiang took on such tasks because they needed to become stronger to work better, but he couldn’t abide killing; he had only heard of poison, and he couldn’t bring himself to harm people with it.

”Who told you to do anything? You just need to catch them all for me. I’m using them to make medicine, not to harm people, but to save them.” Chu Xiaoqiao only wanted to catch them and give them to Qin Xue – she never considered using them for other purposes. Whether her sister-in-law raised them or made medicine, it was none of her concern.

”Fine, I’ll catch them, alright?” Wu Jiang had no choice; this wasn’t something he originally anticipated.

”Don’t be so afraid, alright? My sister-in-law told me these scorpions are edible; don’t treat them like monsters. Their medicinal value is really high.” Chu Xiaoqiao said slowly after putting the last one into the bag and tying the mouth closed.

”Really? These things can be eaten?” Wu Jiang truly found it hard to believe.

”What kind of face is that? These scorpions can indeed be eaten, and their medicinal value is very high. When my sister-in-law told me, my expression was just like yours, but she explained that scorpions have effects like dispelling wind, relieving spasms, promoting circulation and pain relief, and dispelling poison and resolving swellings. Especially for some stubborn diseases, eating scorpions can further aid treatment. Anyway, there are many benefits – just remember, getting stung could be fatal, but they also hold great medicinal value.” Chu Xiaoqiao didn’t want to explain too much because he wouldn’t understand anyway, so better remain silent.

Indeed, speaking would lead to nothing useful, no need to waste words.

Getting stung by scorpions is no joke. If bitten by a non-venomous scorpion, it wouldn’t be too serious; timely medical treatment will suffice, with no life-threatening danger.

But if it’s venomous, it may cause kidney failure, shock, or other adverse reactions.

Therefore, don’t wait until after a bite to ask if there’s anything bad; it’s crucial to know how to handle bites from various dangerous animals in advance.
