Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2307: Chapter 2301: Really Can’t Ruin Things

”Are you sure this won’t cause any trouble?” Qin Xue looked at him, feeling somewhat doubtful.

”It really won’t.” Although Chu Molin thought the matter was urgent, he didn’t mind losing a bit of time.

It’s not like a battle where every second counts; he needed to think about how to do things better.

”Even so, it’s not okay. You should focus on your tasks and finish your homework properly. I’ll ask Xiaoqiao to help me, or I can ask my little sister to help, since that girl should learn some more dishes.” Qin Xue considered what else she could teach her sister.

Actually, it wasn’t that there was nothing to teach, but there were some things they couldn’t afford to buy right now, so they couldn’t take them out. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to explain, so she had to let her sister learn cooking with the available ingredients.

”Alright then, you have a tough job.” Chu Molin saw his wife’s firm attitude and could only compromise.

He compromised because there were people who could help at home, so it didn’t matter if he didn’t go. Otherwise, if his wife had to cook alone, he wouldn’t just stand by.

”It’s not hard work, I’ll do it well. What do you want to eat?” Qin Xue asked as she turned around.

”I’ll eat whatever you make.” Chu Molin wasn’t picky, so he’d eat whatever she cooked. As long as his wife made it, even if it were poison, he’d eat it without hesitation, as long as she was willing, he wouldn’t hesitate.

One wonders if others, knowing how Molin feels, would call him foolish since knowingly consuming poison is indeed foolish.

But others probably couldn’t understand the depth of their relationship, so they couldn’t really feel it.

”Every time I ask, you give me the same answer. Forget it, I’ll see what ingredients we have and make something. I’ll try to include things you like.” Qin Xue realized she couldn’t get much out of Chu Molin, so she decided to handle it herself. Getting a clear answer from him was just too difficult.

Qin Xue wasn’t sure if Molin was truly not picky or simply didn’t want to trouble her. Either way, he always ate a lot of whatever she cooked without showing any fussiness. But he did like sour fish, though. They hadn’t eaten it for long; should they have fish again?

It’s not that there wasn’t any fish at home. She usually raised a few in a big vat just in case guests came over and they needed it.

Now, as she considered whether to make this dish, she wondered if he would get tired of it since he seemed to enjoy it easily.

Qin Xue pondered over the vegetables available in the kitchen, thinking about what dishes to make.

In the end, Qin Xue made stir-fried cabbage with vinegar, spicy shredded potatoes, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and, of course, sour fish. She also made sautéed choy sum. Five dishes would be enough. She decided to make sour fish because she remembered Ouyang Ziyu also liked it, and her brother and sister wanted it too. So she just went ahead. If she didn’t feel like eating, she simply wouldn’t have it.

Qin Xue thought every day that she might get tired of eating this dish. She wanted to save some desire for it so that next time she craved it, she could enjoy it fully.

This meal, under Qin Xue’s quick hands, was done. Initially, she planned to let Chu Xiaoqiao and her sister help, but seeing them chat happily, she didn’t disturb them. It was a rare moment for her sister, sister-in-law, and Ouyang Ziyu to get along so well. She smiled and left them to it.
