Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1230: Chapter 1224: Dizzy from Busyness_1 Chapter 1230: Chapter 1224: Dizzy from Busyness_1 “Sister-in-law, you really know a lot.” Chu Xiaoqiao admired Qin Xue greatly. As a foodie, she held a sense of reverence for people who could cook.

“The more you do and learn, the more skilled you’ll become in the future than me.” Qin Xue didn’t mention that a lot of fruits can also be made into spicy and sour dishes, which are really refreshing to eat, especially after eating oily food. Eating a whole bowl of spicy and sour fruits is a heavenly feeling.

“Alright, I will learn diligently. I also want to be as skilled as sister-in-law and be able to cook many delicious dishes.” Chu Xiaoqiao felt inspired, foodies not only need to eat, but they also need to cook. In this way, they can satisfy their stomachs from time to time.

“With your clever mind, learning these things should be easy.” After finishing packing the radish peels, Qin Xue tidied up the utensils, fetched water from the well to wash them clean. They were specifically for making pickles and thus needed to be kept clean and dried properly after each use. Leaving them damp could cause mold, which would be bad.

“Sister-in-law, I’ll move these inside first. We can pack them when needed, otherwise, if it rains, it’ll be a mess.” Chu Xiaoqiao feared that the rainwater would ruin their hard work.

“Let’s do it together, or else I don’t know how long it’d take you to finish it on your own.” Qin Xue looked at the pickles that filled the courtyard – quite a challenging task, that left her back aching.

“Alright, let’s do it together.” Chu Xiaoqiao, looking at the numerous bottles and jars, also felt a headache. When she was alone, moving them was a struggle. It got better when Wu Tianci helped her.

The two women transported them batch by batch. When their backs were so tired that they could hardly stand straight, they finally finished.

“Phew, I’m so worn out.” Chu Xiaoqiao leaned slowly against the wall, rubbing her sore back.

“Next time, you should ask Wu Tianci to help.” Qin Xue recalled how she and Chu Xiaoqiao had exerted themselves to move the large jars, it was too taxing. It’s better for Xiaoqiao, a young girl, not to do such heavy physical work. Or she should find another solution, such as building a shed in the yard so they don’t have to move them every time after making the pickles.

“Alright, I’m really worn out. Fortunately, I was trained alongside others in the courtyard when I was a kid, otherwise, this work would have broken my arms and legs.” Chu Xiaoqiao exaggeratedly flexed her arm.

“Are you really that tired?” Qin Xue looked at her amusing theatrics with a smile.

“Yes.” Chu Xiaoqiao nodded.

“Alright, let’s go and buy some meat and gifts now. When we get home, I’ll cook to reward you and then we’ll go see An Hao.” Qin Xue went to pick up one of the children and headed out.

Xue Ling wanted to hold another one, but Chu Xiaoqiao was faster and quickly walked away carrying the child, Xue Ling simply followed behind them. Well then, it was the most relaxed one.

“Sister-in-law, why are you buying so much food?” Chu Xiaoqiao looked at Qin Xue’s grand shopping spree. Was she trying to bring the whole market home?

“Your brother is coming home for holiday, we need to buy more food. Unless you plan not to eat so that we have enough for him,” Qin Xue responded without turning her head.

“Oh right, today is the weekend. I was so busy that I got confused about what day it was,” Chu Xiaoqiao suddenly recalled, it was indeed the first weekend after the new semester began.

As to not eating, that was impossible. So sister-in-law should buy more food, she should eat her fill.

“I purchased groceries for tomorrow as well, otherwise I’d have to make another trip tomorrow, that’s just troublesome.” Qin Xue was being lazy, she simply did not want to go out again, so she bought enough food for two days at once.

“That’s a good idea, I usually do that too.” Chu Xiaoqiao did the same thing, preferring to do what was most convenient.
