Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1210: Chapter 1204 New Friend_1 Chapter 1210: Chapter 1204 New Friend_1 (This is Chapter 1204) “Junjun, you think you’re playing the hero, do you even understand what that means? You just throw around idioms without knowing the context. Now tell us, what exactly happened?” Xu Shaoqin looked at her friend whom she had known since kindergarten. They were in the same class from kindergarten all the way to high school, it was quite a bond they shared.

“Well, I found that our class monitor is different from the ones in the rumors. I got curious about her, so I asked her to move in with us. It also saves her from getting bullied in her old dormitory.” Guan Xiaojun then explained how she saw Qin Jiale being bullied, how she retaliated, and relayed the stories to her four roommates.

“Guan Xiaojun, are you sure you’re talking about our class monitor, not someone else?” Xuan Sulin couldn’t believe Xiaojun was talking about their class monitor. Looking at Qin Jiale, she hardly seemed like a formidable person.

“Alright, you all can stop doubting. Xiaojun is correct, I did fight back this morning.” Qin Jiale didn’t expect to be perceived as such a weak person by her classmates.

“Oh, you should’ve done this earlier. But we didn’t know you had this side to you. Why didn’t you stand up for yourself when you were cornered last time? We always thought you were someone who wouldn’t dare to fight.” Ye Zishu brought up the incident when Qin Jiale was cornered and confronted.

They had wanted to help her at that time, but they knew they could only help once and not always. They had hoped Jiale could stand up for herself, hence they left after watching for a while.

“Why are all of you talking about me being cornered? Did something happen to me?” Qin Jiale wondered if it was merely a coincidence that they all saw what happened.

“Nothing much, but now that we are sharing the same dorm, we hope you, the class monitor, could be lenient with us and not get us into trouble with the teacher.” Xu Shaoqin held back from telling the whole truth, to spare Jiale’s feelings.

“What do all of you take me for? I’m a student just like you.” Qin Jiale was exasperated, wondering if they had taken her for a snitch.

“Isn’t the role of a class monitor to report back to the teacher?” Xuan Sulin muttered.

“That’s what you all think, but I’ve never done such a thing.” Qin Jiale insisted she would never snitch.

She had always been against class monitors who snitched. Now that she was a class monitor, how could she possibly do that?

“Really? Then who reported our unauthorized outing last time? You were the only one who knew about it. If you were not the one who reported us, then who did?” Ye Zishu asked incredulously.

Besides Qin Jiale, the class monitor, who else was watching over them? Who else could have spilled the beans about their movements to the teacher?

“I really don’t know, but I certainly didn’t do that. Would all of you like to try some of the food that my sister and mom made for me?” After putting down her stuff, Qin Jiale took out two jars of marinated meat and pickles.

“Does it taste good?” Xiaojun eyed the content of the two jars, she had never seen such canned food before.

“Whether it’s good or not, you have to taste it for yourself, right? Even if I say it’s good, you might not agree.” Jiale understood that it’s hard to please everyone.

What she likes may not necessarily appeal to others, so she never forces anyone, and lets them make their own choices.

“Alright, I want to try some. If it’s good, I’ll buy the ingredients next time, and pay for the labor cost. Could you ask Auntie to make some for me?” Xiaojun placed an order with Jiale even before trying the food.
