Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1089: Chapter 1083: Reunion Dinner_1 Chapter 1089: Chapter 1083: Reunion Dinner_1 Qin Yu didn’t know why his grandmother was laughing. After glancing at a few people who had left, he left the living room while carrying his nephew.

Both tables were filled with people. The elders and Chu Molin and the other men were at one table as they were going to drink. The others who didn’t drink were at another table.

The wine was peach blossom wine brought by Qin Xue from space. She had it in a large bag with each bottle containing about 1 kg, and there were ten bottles in total. Nobody knew what was in the bag originally – clothes – that Chu Molin carried, so Qin Xue wasn’t worried about being found out. Once home, she transferred the clothes into the space and took out the wine.

“Grandfather, father, and uncle, let me toast to you all, wishing you a happy New Year, good health, and everything goes well in the new year.” Chu Molin stood up and raised a glass to the elders.

“Okay, okay, sit down. There’s no need for such formalities among family,” The old man beamed at his son-in-law who understood etiquette.

After Qin Lei and Qin Chaoyang had drunk their wine, they filled their glasses again. It was good wine. Then it was Jing Xin’s turn to toast.

“Old man, two uncles, I’d like to make a toast to you all. Thank you for your warm hospitality. My family has been disturbing you guys this year.” Jing Xin made his toast after Chu Molin.

“Why are you talking like an outsider? We’re glad to know each other, as friends and comrades. Don’t be so unnecessarily polite.” Mr. Qin pretended to be dissatisfied and said to Jing Xin.

“Alright, we won’t be polite then. Please don’t be annoyed, sir.” Jing Xin, being a military man himself, wasn’t used to indirect manners. Since the others were straightforward, he wouldn’t be the odd one out.

“Don’t stand on ceremony. Eat whatever you like,” Qin Lei encouraged the young people around.

“Dad, just sit and eat. We’re all family here, nobody will be polite to you.” Qin Yu said to his father, pouring him a glass of wine.

“Good, better to be blunt. It won’t be comfortable otherwise.” Qin Lei didn’t worry about his son being uncomfortable, but rather any discomfort the others may have felt, so he laughed upon hearing his son’s words.

“Then we won’t formally toast one by one. Everyone, help yourselves to whatever dish you like. This annual reunion meal is lively and joyful. Let’s just enjoy.” Qin Yu immediately took on the host role.

“Indeed, as Xiao Yu said, let’s not be so polite. We’re all family. Being overly formal will make us feel distant instead.” Qin Lei acknowledged his son’s words.

“Alright.” Everyone agreed and there was no more unnecessary politeness. Drinking and eating merrily, Qin Xue saw the men happily enjoying their meal, and the women were not far behind either.

“Does anyone of you want to drink?” Qin Xue asked, holding a small bottle of wine.

“Pour me a little. I want to see if your family’s wine tastes good.” Ouyang Ziyu handed her cup over.

“Sure, I can guarantee you’ll want more after the first sip.” Qin Xue took her cup and poured her a drink.

“Anyone else want some? Qin Qiu, would you like a glass?” Qin Xue poured a small cup for her mother, then asked Qin Qiu.

“Well, pour me a glass too.” Qin Qiu saw everyone looking at her and decided to drink, considering she wasn’t far from home anyway.

“Exactly, let’s drink to our hearts’ content today since we’re all happy.” Qin Xue poured drinks for Qin Qiu and her sister, Qin Jiale, finally she picked up Xue Ling’s glass and started pouring wine into it.

“Xue Ling is still a child, perhaps she should refrain from drinking.” Nangong Shulan exclaimed as she spotted her daughter pouring a full glass for Xue Ling.
