Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 876: Chapter 870 School’s Canteen_1

“Can you please teach us how to make this?” the cafeteria chef asked Qin Xue, intrigued by the delicious smell of her dish. They would love to learn the recipe and try it out themselves.

“Of course, it’s not hard at all.” Qin Xue replied cheerfully since they asked so politely. Once they mastered the recipe, her husband Chu Molin would benefit too.

“Really? Thank you! I’ll bring a notebook to take down the steps.” The chef was overjoyed. Not many people were willing to share their signature recipes.

“Alright.” Qin Xue smiled, plucked a bit from her dish and set it aside for the chefs to taste. She waited for them to bring a pen and then explained the recipe.

“We’re truly grateful.” The chefs were clearly excited. Such easygoing people were rare.

“It’s nothing. Here’s a small portion for you. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be taking my leave now.” Qin Xue pointed at the dish in front of her and walked out with the larger portion.

...
The short walk gave Qin Xue a lot of pressure. Once she left the kitchen, she found all eyes glued to the dish in her hands. She found it amusing. Was it because they hadn’t had a delicious meal in a long time? Their meals seemed fine to her earlier, or was her dish unusually delicious? Qin Xue shook her head and walked towards the table where Chu Molin was seated.

“Let me hold it, Xue’er.” Someone took the dish off her hand before she had taken a few steps.

“Oh, okay.” Qin Xue smiled and let go when she saw it was Chu Molin. He always looked out for her.

When the couple returned to their seats, they found themselves under the eager gaze of four pairs of eyes.

Why four? Because their principal joined them uninvited. Chu Molin glanced at the principal wordlessly. This man didn’t act like a principal at all. Was he here to poach his food again?

“Molin, hurry up, I’m starving.” The moment the principal spoke, five pairs of eyes turned to him. This was Chu Molin usually, but now he was referred to as ‘young man’. Did the principal just drop all formalities for the sake of pleasing his palate?

Qin Xue giggled at the sight. It was hilarious when such an old man acted like this. Was he being out of character or was it just her?

She felt as if this wasn’t the first time. But Qin Xue didn’t say anything and let it pass.

“Xue’er, sit here.” Chu Molin didn’t put the dish down. He asked Qin Xue to sit first, fearing that the food would vanish if he put the dish down and his wife was still standing.

“Sis-in-law, this is for you.” Lei Xiao pointed to a meal on the spot and told Qin Xue.

“Ah, you’ve prepared a meal for me too. Thank you!” Qin Xue felt a little awkward. She had just eaten not long ago and couldn’t finish such a large meal even if she just tasted it. But she thanked Lei Xiao with a smile anyway.

“It’s fine. Give me whatever you can’t finish.” Chu Molin knew her small appetite. She also said she just had a meal, so he knew she couldn’t finish all of it.

“Uh-huh.” Qin Xue nodded like a pecking chicken. She felt relieved that she didn’t have to worry about wasting food. She decided to let Chu Molin eat first and leave a small portion for herself. It would be disrespectful not to eat at all when someone kindly prepared a meal for her.

Chu Molin couldn’t help laughing seeing her relieved look. How much she feared not finishing her meal! If not for her cheat tool, she wouldn’t have any concerns about food and clothing. Otherwise, this small portion of food wouldn’t even half satisfy a normal person’s hunger.
