Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 865: Chapter 859 An Hao’s Worries_1

The problem was that her younger brother or sister would be even younger than her own child. This made it hard for her to accept. How would she get along with them in the future? Would she have to take care of one child or two?

“An Hao, calm down. Think about it, perhaps your parents are doing this for your sake. You are now married, and they will age in the future. In this world, it will be only you left. I think they just want to have another child so you will have someone else to accompany you, someone else to discuss issues with. I am serious.” Qin Xue finally understood why An Hao had thought of moving out. So this was the problem.

“Why didn’t they have another child before? Why must they wait till now, when I am about to give birth before making such a decision?” An Hao asked in a gloomy mood.

“Maybe it’s not that they didn’t want to. Maybe they hadn’t had the time or they hadn’t been able to conceive?”

So now they suddenly have a child, but they probably didn’t dare tell you for fear you would overthink it.

You know that once a woman is pregnant, she can’t keep it a secret. So they had no choice but to tell you. You really don’t need to resist this so much.

...
Think about it, you are married now, you are now residing with the Lis, leaving only your parents behind. They must feel quite lonely. Consider this unexpected baby as a God-sent companion for them. Wouldn’t they naturally be happy?

I believe that, even if you tell them you don’t want them to have this child, they won’t go ahead if you don’t agree. If you don’t believe me, you can try telling them yourself. I’m sure they would abide by your wishes.” Qin Xue knew the sort of impact An Hao’s parents would have if they heard this from An Hao, unless they did not love her.

“I did say it. I said I didn’t want them to have another brother or sister for me. They went silent for a moment and then agreed. They said they knew, told me to be safe, and reassured me that I wouldn’t have a brother or sister.” An Hao was furious when she heard this.

She hadn’t spent much time with her parents since she was a child, so she wasn’t very emotionally attached to them. Besides providing money, they barely met in person. Unsettled by the sudden news, she felt as if there was a fury building up inside her, ready to explode.

She felt that with just her, her parents managed to neglect her. What’s the need to have another child, just like her? Don’t they know that such a child wouldn’t be happy? They never knew what she thought, they never cared about her. Therefore, she did not want another child like her to come into this world and face the same cold treatment. Her first reaction, when she heard the news, was to reject it.

But now Qin Xue made it seem like she was the villain. Was she a murderer, then? Was she wrong to prevent the child in her mother’s womb from coming into the world? No one had the right to stop or kill a life.

“So, Qin Xue, what should I do now? Will my mother really abort the baby?” An Hao asked in a panicked tone.

“Does your house have a phone? You can call them and tell them you only reacted so strongly because the news was too sudden. Now that you’ve come to terms with it, you don’t want them to abort the baby, right?” Qin Xue looked at An Hao, who wasn’t as stubborn anymore. This was the issue of having a second child in the present era. Many children are well-loved at home, and when suddenly there is another child contesting their parents’ love, it’s normal for them to feel uncomfortable. Even worse, some kids who can’t bear it, run away from home.
