Survival in the Underground Palace: Get the instant kill skill at the beginning

21: Ruined wooden house, home upgrade, big cleanupHe walked out from the corner of the wall and strode forward.

Upon reaching the entrance of the passage, a vast open area appeared before Liu Yang.

It was oval-shaped, very much like a sports field.

The dome and walls were curved, making the whole structure look like an inverted large bowl.

Including the passage he just came through, there were a total of six passages connected here.

More importantly, there was a dilapidated small wooden house next to the left wall.

”It seems the owner of this wooden house can basically be confirmed as one of the Humans who perished at the hands of the Giant Octopus.”

”I wonder how he managed to get through the Rampaging Boar area.”

”Could the charm range of the small flower on the Giant Octopus’s head be that wide? That shouldn’t be possible, right?”

If he couldn’t figure it out, he wouldn’t dwell on it. Liu Yang never got stuck on difficult problems.

He walked towards the wooden house.

As soon as he approached the wooden house, a prompt popped up.

[Discovered an ownerless damaged Home, absorb it?]

”Absorb.”

Liu Yang was momentarily stunned, then decisively chose to absorb it.

[Damaged Home absorbed, obtained leftover resources: wood x21, iron block x8, Stone Material x5, chili seeds 50g x1, Spiritual Energy small speaker x1, audio USB drive x1.]

”This...”

Happiness came too suddenly, Liu Yang didn’t know what to say.

Although there weren’t many items, there were a few decent ones among them.

”Heh, so this is how the resources in the warehouse are handled when someone dies.”

”Does that mean I can hunt Humans to seize their property?”

As soon as the thought flashed, Liu Yang immediately extinguished it.

If someone provoked him first, he would definitely not hold back, and taking their resources would be understandable.

Although Liu Yang was selfish in some ways, actively hunting Humans for resources was absolutely impossible for him.

No matter how bad things got, that shred of humanity could never be abandoned.

The Home was absorbed, the resources were collected, and the small wooden house vanished without a trace.

So, the next step should be to upgrade his own Home.

But Liu Yang didn’t release his Home on the spot; instead, he turned and went to the other side.

Because he felt it was a bit unlucky there.

”Home activated.”

Beams of brilliant light converged, and the wooden house solidified.

He took out the ordinary wooden Home upgrade scroll and selected to use it on the wooden house.

[Use ’Ordinary Wooden Home Upgrade Scroll’ on ’Ordinary Wooden Home’?]

”Yes.”

[Ordinary Wooden Home Upgrade Scroll used.]

[Ordinary Wooden Home upgraded successfully.]

[Excellent Wooden Home (+): A master’s work is always a masterpiece. Compared to the ordinary level Home, in addition to greatly increased defense, the design is more user-friendly, allowing you to feel the warmth of Home even more upon returning from exploring.]

[Next upgrade requirements: wood x300, iron block x100, Stone Material x500, water spirit stone x5, wood spirit stone x10, earth spirit stone x20, empty spirit stone x1.]

After the Home was upgraded, its appearance changed dramatically.

In addition to expanding to nearly 300 square meters, more importantly, the wooden house now had two floors.

This could no longer be called a wooden house; it would be more appropriate to call it a pavilion.

It had an ancient charm, carved beams and painted rafters, elegant and grand.

”666666, this is too damn exaggerated. Living in a house like this completely clashes with the current setting!”

”I never thought that I, who was down and out in reality, could now live in such a high-class place.”

”This is truly too damn exciting!”

”It’s just that the requirements for the next upgrade are really quite exaggerated.”

”wood is fine, I have nearly half of what’s needed now, and iron blocks are almost enough too.”

”It’s just this Stone Material; I originally thought it was useless, but I didn’t expect it to be used here, and so much of it.”

”That’s not all, 20 earth spirit stones? I haven’t even dropped one yet.”

”Especially that empty spirit stone, although only one is needed, I feel like it’s the hardest to get?”

The joy of upgrading the Home was largely offset by the difficult requirements for the next level.

But the optimistic Liu Yang didn’t dwell on it.

His Home had just been upgraded, why think so far ahead?

What if another upgrade scroll came along someday? Wouldn’t that solve everything?

”Ah, such a nice house without some high-end furniture decoration feels a bit lacking!”

Liu Yang pushed the door open and entered the house.

The first floor had nothing but a few large red pillars and the stairs connecting to the second floor.

”Huh? Where’s my small wooden bed?”

Liu Yang was surprised. He looked at the stairs by the wall and lifted his leg to walk up to the second floor.

Sure enough, his small broken bed, and all those miscellaneous things, were on the second floor.

The all-purpose flowerpot and the bread tree were placed in the very center.

Their vibrant green color added a lot of life to the entire floor.

Below the tree was a small wooden table.

Under the table was a charcoal stove.

And the small broken bed was placed against the wall.

”I’ve got a new Home, it would be too inappropriate not to tidy it up properly.”

And so.

Liu Yang lay down on the bed, just about to bring up the game interface, when he suddenly remembered something.

”Oh right, I remember getting a small speaker when I absorbed the Home just now. It’s perfect to take out and listen to; listening to music is one of my biggest hobbies, you know.”

He took out the Spiritual Energy small speaker.

It was small as its name suggested, roughly the size of a pack of tissues.

[Spiritual Energy Small Speaker: How can you explore the Dungeon without some music to relax your mood? The Spiritual Energy small speaker, worth owning (please use with an audio USB drive).]

Liu Yang was already quite familiar with things prefixed with the words ”Spiritual Energy”.

He charged 5 points of Spiritual Energy into the speaker.

Then he took out the audio USB drive, found the port, and inserted it.

With a press of the switch, a beautiful melody he had never heard before came from the small speaker.

He adjusted the volume to a suitable level, and Liu Yang continued with what he was doing.

Which was—shopping.

A few days had passed, and many people were selling items in the Auction House, but the prices were generally high.

Liu Yang filtered out ordinary materials, food, and water, and the page instantly became much tidier.

”Hollow carved screen manufacturing blueprint for 50 grams of food, or 100 milliliters of water?”

”So cheap?”

”Bought it.”

”Eight Immortals table manufacturing blueprint for a steamed bun?”

”Buy.”

”Backrest chair manufacturing blueprint for 200 milliliters of water?”

”Just right to match the Eight Immortals table, must buy.”

”Luxurious double bed manufacturing blueprint for 100 grams of food?”

”It’s just the cost of a steamed bun, that small broken bed should be replaced too.”

”Buy.”

”2 earth spirit stones for an ordinary weapon?”

”I’m just missing this stuff.”

”Buy.”

”Pepper powder.”

”Buy.”

The shopping spree was in progress.

As long as the price wasn’t outrageous, whether it was something he could use now or potentially in the future, Liu Yang bought it all.

Especially seasonings and the like.

At a time when eating and drinking were difficult, they were as cheap as picking them up for free.

This made Liu Yang even more ecstatic.

He still remembered his agreement with Shi Yufei.

In the end.

Things like star anise, Sichuan peppercorns, Amomum tsao-ko, galangal, cinnamon, bay leaves, Angelica dahurica, nutmeg, etc., he didn’t know how much he bought.

What Liu Yang didn’t know was.

While he was frantically shopping, the chat area had already exploded.
