Survival in the Underground Palace: Get the instant kill skill at the beginning

15: Liu Yang was hit hardShi Yufei: ”Da Lao, I’m currently teamed up with someone to fight monsters. She’s a little beauty, but her period came, which is a bit inconvenient. If you happen to get any paper towels, cotton cloth, or similar items, please be sure to let me know. We’ll trade at a high price.”

Liu Yang: ”...Is this the Goddess of Fortune? That stuff from before was probably specifically dropped for them, wasn’t it?”

He wasn’t surprised that the other party was teamed up with someone.

With 1000 people in the Initial Dungeon, although he didn’t know how big it was, it wasn’t impossible to run into someone.

Liu Yang didn’t remind the other party of anything and directly traded two packs of sanitary pads over.

”Ah!!!”

Shi Yufei’s startled cry gave the petite girl a big scare.

The girl said unhappily, ”Sister Feifei, what’s wrong with you again? Why are you always so jumpy?”

”Look, look at what I’m holding in my hand?”

Shi Yufei held up two packs of sanitary pads and shouted at the girl.

”Sanitary pads?” The girl was dumbfounded and said in shock, ”Oh my god, Sister Feifei, did you turn into Doraemon? How do you have everything you need?”

”Pfft.” Shi Yufei spat, ”I just asked Da Lao a question, and then he gave me two packs of these.”

She added at the end, ”I remember someone saying that whoever could help her, she would even be willing to give herself to them, you know. I need to find a chance to tell Da Lao.”

Having been teased by the girl often, finding this opportunity made Shi Yufei feel like the tables had turned.

”It’s fine, you can say it. Anyway, he can’t do anything to me.” The girl was startled, then waved her hand indifferently.

However, her gaze couldn’t move away from the item in Shi Yufei’s hand.

As if worried that Shi Yufei would continue saying something, the girl changed the subject:

”That Da Lao of yours has everything, and he can even boil water to make instant noodles, which means he can make fire and cook food.

We’ve also gotten a lot of meat during this time. Can we trouble him a bit?

Of course, we can’t let him do it for free. Whatever amount he helps us process, we’ll give him that amount as a processing fee.

What do you think?”

”Good idea.”

Shi Yufei felt helpless about the girl’s attitude of not fearing anything, but her suggestion at this moment was indeed very tempting.

So she immediately contacted Liu Yang.

”Da Lao, my teammate wants me to thank you.

Also, you can make instant noodles, which means you can make fire and cook, right?

My teammate and I killed some level 9 fierce dogs and got some meat. The description says eating it can increase strength. Can I trouble you to help process it? We’ll use the meat as payment.”

Looking at the information in front of him, Liu Yang was dumbfounded.

He stared blankly at the information, not moving.

He didn’t even notice the half-eaten apple in his hand falling to the ground.

Level 9? Fierce dogs?

I’m having a hard time fighting a level 5 mouse.

If it weren’t for her help, I might have died in the mouse’s mouth.

What about the promised delicate and lovely beautiful girl?

How did she even kill level 9 fierce dogs?

Judging by the meaning of her words, it seems she killed quite a few.

Am I having hallucinations, or has the world changed too quickly, and I can’t keep up with the times?

”No, I can’t be a slacker anymore. I want to fight monsters, I want to level up, I want to get equipment.”

”I am a cute old man.”

”Hair can be messy, blood can flow, but face cannot be lost.”

Closing the chat box, Liu Yang entered the manufacturing page.

He tapped his finger repeatedly, and the notification sound rang out.

[You have manufactured an excellent set of leather armor. Beast Hide -4, Linen 1 meter -2, yu ling stone -3.]

[Congratulations on obtaining an excellent set of leather armor.]

[Excellent Leather Armor Set: The set is divided into an excellent leather top, excellent leather pants, and excellent leather boots. When worn together, they can greatly increase defense and ignore most attacks from Earth Palace Creatures below level 10. (PS: Does not include exposed parts)]

Fully dressed, Liu Yang pushed the door open.

”Home, put away.”

If he left now, it would probably be difficult to come back.

After putting away the wooden house, he strode towards the passage on the left.

”Sister Feifei, what did Da Lao say?”

”Uh, Da Lao didn’t reply. He’s probably busy fighting monsters.”

”Da Lao is indeed Da Lao. As soon as he finishes eating, he immediately takes action. Compared to him, we are far behind.”

”That’s right, so we should also work hard, so as not to be left far behind, otherwise we won’t even have a chance to talk to him.”

Liu Yang didn’t know anything about what was happening on Shi Yufei’s side.

Wearing the leather armor set, he gave up on defense and charged forward, sweeping everything in his path.

Ants, flying mosquitoes, cockroaches, termites, spiders...

He only paused when he encountered a new type of Earth Palace Creature.

This was a place that emitted a faint foul smell.

[Earth Palace Corpse Cat lv7: A type of cat that feeds on decaying corpses. It is agile, extremely fast, highly vengeful, and contains potent poison. It is one of the top ten nightmares for beginners.]

”No wonder the mice are over there. So there are cats here.”

According to the description, this Corpse Cat is very dangerous, but Liu Yang wasn’t very worried.

”Wind Spirit Crossbow, it’s your turn to appear.”

Holding the crossbow with one hand, he stood still, aimed, and pulled the trigger.

With a soft ’Whoosh’ sound, it hit the Corpse Cat’s head, and the Corpse Cat died.

[Congratulations on killing the Earth Palace Corpse Cat. You have obtained Poisonous Cat Fangs x2, corrosion grass x3, wood x4, Spiritual Energy x1.]

[Congratulations on your level increase. Current level lv3.]

”Huh, I leveled up already?”

”And this Corpse Cat, what kind of stuff did it drop?”

Liu Yang didn’t feel much about leveling up.

Based on the results of the previous two times.

Except for better physical fitness, increased strength, more agile movements, and clearer vision, there weren’t any major changes.

Only the increase in stamina made him a bit expectant, but he hadn’t had a chance to test it out yet.

”As expected.”

After carefully experiencing it, the result was the same as he expected.

Shaking his head in disappointment, Liu Yang continued forward.

Whoosh!

[Congratulations on killing the Earth Palace Corpse Cat. You have obtained Poison Heart Grass x2, Corpse Spirit Grass x2, wood x3, Spiritual Energy x1.]

[Congratulations on your level increase. Current level lv4.]

”Damn it, what’s going on with these Corpse Cats? Besides ordinary materials, it’s either poisonous grass or rotten meat, which is creepy.”

No wonder Liu Yang was like this.

He had just put on the leather armor, which greatly increased his defense, allowing him to go all out.

But encountering these things containing potent poison, even if the leather armor had high defense, if he got contaminated, there would be no turning back.

Thinking back to the reckless charging before, now he had to be extra careful.

This exploration speed, the contrast was too great for Liu Yang to accept.

When Liu Yang killed over 30 Corpse Cats, the environment changed, and the foul smell dissipated.

”Phew, have I finally passed through the area where the Corpse Cats are?”

Smelling the fresh air, Liu Yang felt happy and refreshed.

After the Corpse Cat incident, he didn’t dare to be too arrogant.

There were too many unknown creatures in the Dungeon, and any small mistake could be fatal.

He perked up and explored forward slowly.

After walking nearly a hundred meters, the map showed that not far past the corner ahead, there was a very large hall.

Liu Yang was delighted, that place was a good spot to set up camp.

He quickened his pace, rounded the corner, and it opened up.

At the same time, a huge creature appeared before his eyes, occupying his entire field of vision.
