177: Two families’ dinnerAmusement Park

Ding Xiaoyu and Hao Jiaqi were playing to their hearts’ content with their three sons in the amusement park, trying out various rides suitable for children, from the carousel to bumper cars, and even the small roller coaster; every ride left the children thrilled.

Except for the rides clearly unsuitable for young children, Ding Xiaoyu and Hao Jiaqi had taken them on almost every ride in the entire park.

By the time they walked out of the amusement park, the sun was high in the sky; it was noon.

Hao Jiaqi looked at the slightly tired Ding Xiaoyu and asked gently, ”Xiaoyu, shall we go home to eat, or should we eat at a restaurant?”

Before Ding Xiaoyu could answer, Ding Yuxi and Ding Yuchen, who were beside them, called out impatiently, ”Mom and Dad, didn’t you promise we were going to have fried chicken?”

Ding Zhenyu chimed in as well, ”Yeah! Fried chicken! Fried chicken!”

Ding Xiaoyu looked at the three little ones’ eager expressions and couldn’t help but feel a desire to tease them; he hesitated on purpose, wanting to see how his sons would react.

Just then, Hao Jiaqi suddenly pointed into the distance and said, ”Xiaoyu, look, isn’t that Arthur and Five Bears over there?”

Ding Xiaoyu looked in the direction Hao Jiaqi was pointing and, sure enough, saw Arthur Wang and Cai Wuxiong walking over with their daughter.

Ding Xiaoyu called out, ”Arthur!”

Arthur Wang heard Ding Xiaoyu’s voice in the distance, immediately turned his head, and smiled upon seeing Ding Xiaoyu and Hao Jiaqi.

He said to Cai Wuxiong beside him, ”It’s Xiaoyu and Jiaqi. Let’s go over!”

Cai Wuxiong nodded with a smile and then gently said to her daughter, ”Xinya, be good, walk by yourself!”

Arthur Wang looked at his daughter and said with a face full of affection, ”How about I carry you instead?”

His voice was gentle and doting, as if his daughter were the most precious treasure in his heart.

Arthur Wang’s daughter was born in the same year as Ding Xiaoyu’s twin sons, and her name was Wang Xinya.

This cute little girl had a chubby face, a pair of big, watery eyes, and a smile as sweet as a blooming flower in spring.

At this moment, Wang Xinya was looking at her father with her cute little face, full of anticipation, and saying in a milky voice, ”Daddy, hold me!” Her appearance could simply melt anyone’s heart.

However, Five Bears, who was beside them, refused Arthur Wang’s suggestion without hesitation and said to Wang Xinya sternly, ”No, you have to walk by yourself!”

Arthur Wang looked at Five Bears with some helplessness and muttered, ”Geez, what’s wrong with spoiling my little princess!”

Ding Xiaoyu and Hao Jiaqi waited where they were for Arthur Wang’s family of three to arrive.

The twin brothers, Ding Yuxi and Ding Yuchen, waved their little hands excitedly and shouted, ”Little sister Xinya, we’re over here!”

Hao Jiaqi looked at Wang Xinya’s cute appearance, and a feeling of envy couldn’t help but well up in her heart.

She turned her head and said to Ding Xiaoyu, ”Xiaoyu, what do you think about us having another daughter? Look how cute Arthur’s daughter is!”

Ding Xiaoyu shook his head quickly and said with a smile, ”No way. If you want a daughter, we’ll just kidnap Arthur’s daughter and bring her to our house!”

Upon hearing Ding Xiaoyu’s words, Hao Jiaqi’s eyes lit up, and she immediately chimed in, ”Good idea! Let’s have our three sons work hard to kidnap little sister Xinya and bring her home!”

Ding Xiaoyu stood there, his eyes squinted into slits, his face beaming with a smile, his gaze landing on the family of three walking towards him.

Especially Wang Xinya; the more Ding Xiaoyu looked at her, the cuter he thought the little girl was, and he secretly pondered, ”Hmm, Arthur’s daughter is very cute. If we could bring her home, Jiaqi probably wouldn’t be clamoring about having another child all day long!”

Just as Ding Xiaoyu was letting his imagination run wild, Arthur Wang walked over.

He noticed that Ding Xiaoyu’s gaze was a bit strange, felt a sense of wariness, and asked, ”Xiaoyu, what’s with that look?”

Ding Xiaoyu was snapped out of his thoughts by Arthur Wang’s question, immediately pulled his gaze back, and said as if nothing happened, ”Ah, it’s nothing! By the way, when did you guys come out? Have you eaten? We were just planning to go eat!”

Arthur Wang replied, ”Oh, we were just about to go play!”

At this time, the three little ones, Ding Yuxi, Ding Yuchen, and Ding Zhenyu, excitedly circled around Wang Xinya.

”Little sister Xinya, let’s play together! By the way, my mom and dad are taking us to eat fried chicken. Do you want to come with us? The fried chicken is so delicious!” Ding Yuxi looked at Wang Xinya with an expectant face.

Wang Xinya smiled shyly and answered, ”Big brother Xuxi, big brother Yuchen, little brother Zhenyu, I have to ask my mom and dad first!”

On the other side, Hao Jiaqi and Cai Wuxiong were chatting animatedly, and the topic naturally revolved around the children.

Hao Jiaqi’s gaze involuntarily fell on Wang Xinya, and she couldn’t help but sigh, ”Five Bears, Xinya is just too cute! It’s a pity that I’ve already had three sons, and Xiaoyu doesn’t want to have any more.”

Cai Wuxiong quickly responded, ”It’s okay, Jiaqi, you can keep having them; I fully support you! I personally really want to have a few more children too. Xinya is too lonely on her own, and I want to add a few more siblings for her.”

Arthur Wang finished chatting with Ding Xiaoyu and overheard the two women’s conversation.

The two men looked at each other, and a hint of a helpless smile appeared on both their faces.

Arthur Wang turned his head and asked Ding Xiaoyu, ”Xiaoyu, why is Jiaqi still thinking about having children?”

Ding Xiaoyu looked at Wang Xinya and said helplessly, ”She just wants a daughter, and she keeps nagging about it all day long.”

Arthur Wang smiled and said, ”Since she wants a daughter so much, then just have one.”

Ding Xiaoyu shook his head quickly and said, ”I don’t want to! You don’t know, having these three kids has completely taken away the world for just the two of us, Jiaqi and me!”

Arthur Wang said with deep empathy, ”I don’t want to have any more either. Five Bears really suffered quite a bit when she was giving birth, and I’m a bit scared now. But she always wants to have more, and those condoms always inexplicably get poked with a hole by her, and I discover it every time. Later, I wanted to get a vasectomy, but I ended up being watched so closely by Five Bears that I couldn’t go at all.”

Hearing this, Ding Xiaoyu couldn’t help but sigh, ”Jiaqi is the same way!”

Just then, the three little ones—Ding Yuxi, Ding Yuchen, and Ding Zhenyu—watched the adults still chatting incessantly and couldn’t help but feel a little impatient.

”Mom and Dad, we’re hungry!” Ding Yuxi was the first to blurt out.

Following immediately, Wang Xinya chimed in, ”Daddy, I want to go eat fried chicken with my big brothers too!”

Hearing the children’s calls, Arthur Wang and Ding Xiaoyu looked at each other and then said in unison, ”Then let’s go together!”

Thus, the two families went together to a hotel opened by Arthur Wang’s family.

Once they arrived at the hotel, Arthur Wang specifically instructed the chef to prepare some fried chicken suitable for children’s tastes.

In a little while, everyone arrived at a spacious private room.

As soon as they were seated, Hao Jiaqi suddenly said, ”I’m planning to apply as a teacher for Class One!”

Upon hearing this, Arthur Wang was somewhat surprised; he looked at Hao Jiaqi and asked with confusion, ”How did you suddenly get that idea?”

Ding Xiaoyu interjected from the side, ”Let’s both go together! Anyway, we don’t have anything else to do right now!”

Arthur Wang, however, disagreed and retorted, ”Is the business at the Judgment Office not business?”

Ding Xiaoyu replied dismissively, ”Isn’t it fine as long as you guys are there!”

Arthur Wang suddenly thought of Wang Dadong: ”Does the Arrogant One know?”

Seeing this, Hao Jiaqi quickly explained, ”We haven’t told him yet!”

Ding Xiaoyu’s eyes rolled, a plan forming, and he suggested, ”How about we just take him along too? Uncle Wang and Aunt Wang have always been very anxious about Dadong’s marriage prospects. If he goes to Ba Le High School, maybe he’ll find a good match!”

Upon hearing this, Arthur Wang’s eyes widened sharply, he looked at Ding Xiaoyu in disbelief, and exclaimed, ”You want him to seduce high school students?!”

Hao Jiaqi quickly waved her hand to the side and corrected him, ”Oh, what ’seduce,’ that’s too ugly a word! Although 28 is indeed a bit old, high school seniors are already 18, so it’s only a 10-year age gap!”

Cai Wuxiong suddenly interjected, ”I just don’t understand, why do you guys think Wang Dadong would definitely find a high school student as a girlfriend? Wouldn’t finding someone your own age be just as good?”

Arthur Wang rolled his eyes at Cai Wuxiong and retorted impatiently, ”Five Bears, don’t forget, it seems like the only person teaching at Ba Le High School is your sister, right?”

Ding Xiaoyu said, ”I don’t think the two of them are possible. I just have an intuition that there must be some kind of destiny between Ba Le High School and Dadong!”

Arthur Wang heard Ding Xiaoyu’s words and couldn’t help but laugh out loud, teasing, ”Xiaoyu, when did you start acting mysterious too!”

Hao Jiaqi also laughed and said, ”It’s just an intuition. But speaking of which, Dadong’s intuition is the most accurate, isn’t it?”

Arthur Wang nodded and said with a smile, ”Yeah, that Arrogant One’s battle intuition is indeed quite accurate!”

Amidst the laughter and joy, time slipped away inadvertently, and a crisp knock on the door suddenly sounded.

Arthur Wang heard the sound and called out loudly, ”Please come in!”

As the door was slowly pushed open, the waiter and chef from outside filed in, carrying all kinds of delicious delicacies that were mouth-watering.

The four children’s gazes were instantly attracted; their eyes were like stars in the night sky, bright and shining, staring intently at the plates of tempting food, especially the mouth-watering fried chicken.

”Fried chicken, fried chicken, fried chicken...” the children chanted excitedly, as if it were the most delicious food in the world.

Seeing this, the chef smiled slightly and said gently, ”The fried chicken is here, Young Masters and Young Miss!” His voice was full of doting.

Seeing this, Hao Jiaqi and Cai Wuxiong quickly stepped forward, handed the prepared gloves and bibs to the little ones, and helped them put them on neatly to avoid getting their clothes dirty.
