Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 821: Form Of Free Speech

When Xu Feng repeatedly feigned ignorance and concealed his sarcastic insult, one of the elders had enough.

They directly tried to make a move, only to be stopped by Qin Xiaobo.

”Are you on his side, Xiaobo?” The elder raised an eyebrow and questioned.

Qin Xiaobo shook his head in response. He held a bittersweet smile as he gazed at Xu Feng.

”Please calm your anger, Elder Huang. If you had made a move, then the one breaking the law would be you.” Qin Xiaobo explained.

From beginning to end, Xu Fengʼs action was extremely out of bounds but it was within the laws. Given there had never been a precedent such as this, there were no laws restricting him.

Additionally, Xu Feng and his companion were operating in a ”public” space.

In other words, they were legally able to do what they pleased.

Meanwhile, Elder Huang was dissatisfied with Qin Xiaoboʼs explanation.

”Even so, heʼs obstructing the path. This is already breaking the law.” Elder Huang argued.

”How am I obstructing a path when I didnʼt set up any stalls?” Xu Feng shrugged and moved to the side.

”As you can see, my companion is all alone and just explaining what was on her pamphlet. This is just a form of leaflet distribution.” He continued, staggering Elder Huang in the meantime.

Just like what Xu Feng said, the form of distribution was considered a marketing strategy. It was generally considered a form of free speech protected by the laws of Lumora City—or most cities to be precise.

In other words, Elder Huang who attempted to disrupt the process would have been the one who broke the law.

Had Qin Xiaobo stopped him in time, Xu Feng would have had leverage against them.

Such was the devious and shrewd nature of Xu Feng.

Not to mention, Xu Feng and his companion had openly declared their intention and goal. It was to join their guild in the Divine World, which meant Elder Huang couldnʼt even try to sue them with claims of soliciting.

How could it be a form of soliciting when it was just an invitation to a video game guild?

Additionally, it was the worldwide known VRMMORPG!

If they tried to sue Xu Feng, then the fool would be none other than them.

”Anyway, if the three elders here arenʼt trying to join my guild, Please make way and donʼt obstruct others.” Xu Feng gestured his hand to signal them to leave.

”Weʼre operating in good faith and itʼs these participants who wished to join our guild through their own free will!”

SPLAT!

Unable to endure the trickery from Xu Feng, Elder Huang directly spat out a mouthful of blood.

”Elder Huang!” Alarmed, the other two elders hurriedly rushed to his side and checked on his condition.

”Elder Wei and Elder Gong… letʼs leave.” Elder Huang glanced at them and suggested. The opponent was too devious and caught them in their blind spot.

Nodding in agreement, Elder Wei and Elder Gong glared at Xu Feng furiously one last time before assisting Elder Huang back to the Inspection Site Building.

Qin Xiaobo remained in the scene briefly, his eyes staring at Xu Feng.

”Hmm, are you going to avenge them?” Xu Feng raised an eyebrow, unsure of his intention.

”No, I just want to ask if your offer from previously still stands.” Contrary to his surprise, Qin Xiaobo wondered if he could still join.

Xu Feng had to pause for a moment before laughing in amusement. He surely didnʼt expect his action could result in Qin Xiaoboʼs willingness to join.

”Naturally, the offer stands. You can just go up ahead and listen to my companionʼs explanation. Consider it a favor.” He gestured his hand and instructed him to get a head start.

Meanwhile, Qin Xiaobo was rendered speechless by his shrewdness.

Shouldnʼt it be the other way around?

If he were going to join their guild and become an asset, they should have been the ones owing him a favor. Yet thanks to Xu Fengʼs glib tongue, it involuntarily becomes him owing them a favor.

ʼAt least now I know I wonʼt be suffering.ʼ Qin Xiaobo sighed and thought to himself. The more shrewd a person was, the less likely they would try to sabotage themselves.

There were many types of shrewdness, one that was good and one that was terrible.

The terrible was naturally one who cared only about themselves and neglected all others.

However, the good type of shrewd was someone who would do anything to gain the advantage while ensuring his people remained unscathed.

Since Xu Feng had acted without hesitation back when he tried to intimidate his companion, it became clear to him that Xu Feng was the good type of shrewd.

Not to mention, he could discern that his companion was enjoying the work—and not someone who was putting up a facade or being forced to do it.

Sometime later, Qin Xiaobo quickly went up to the front and listened in on Veronicaʼs explanation. Of course, nobody dared to voice a complaint, granted they recognized who Qin Xiaobo was.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng continued to maintain the line until he heard a notification from his phone.

Without much surprise, he was contacted by Green Life Corpʼs Secretary Tess. He didnʼt even drop them off his phone number, but they were still able to trace it down.

ʼSeems like their information network is still adequate.ʼ He thought to himself.

As he opened his phone and checked on the message, his expression changed. His mood turned sour and there was a dense killing intent surging within him.

It didnʼt take long before the participants noticed the change in Xu Fengʼs aura and felt difficulty breathing.

Even Qin Xiaobo, who already planned to return inside the building was alarmed by the surge of killing intent.

”Whatʼs going on?” He raised an eyebrow, turned around, and noticed Xu Feng was behaving abnormally.

”Who offended him to invoke such a powerful aura?” Alarmed, Qin Xiaobo hurriedly rushed over to Xu Feng, hoping to stop him from causing damage.

However, it wasnʼt needed, given that Xu Feng retracted his aura in an instant.

”Phew, so they chose death.” Xu Feng exhaled softly and uttered.
