Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 446: Harsh Lecture

Time quickly went by, and soon, the sludges were no longer capable of splitting as their size became too small.

Due to their relentless assault and Xu Fengʼs command in giving the sludges zero chance of retreat, the Obsidian Sludges were officially cleared.

”Haa haa, this is too difficult.” Veronica panted heavily and slumped to the ground, exhausted from the intense prolonged battle.

Following her was Carmen who was taking multiple breaths as she leaned near a wall in the hope of recovering soon. Her stamina was nearly spent despite having advanced to Tier 1 already.

The rest subsequently followed and tried to rest, only to end up receiving another round of lectures.

”This battle alone gave me a clear idea that although you were all strong as an individual, your teamwork and positioning are horrid.” Xu Feng commented, his gaze locking on especially at SilentWhisper and Ardent Lance.

”...”

Both Ardent Lance and SilentWhisper were rendered speechless by his antics. They hadnʼt even got to rest properly and were already going through the battle process?

Canʼt they take a break first?

”You must be wondering why Iʼm lecturing when youʼre both exhausted, right?” Almost as if he understood their mindset, Xu Feng snickered coldly.

”Thatʼs because had you two done your job properly, the team wouldnʼt have been exhausted. You two should be grateful to Vortex Viper and Lunar Wraith for saving your butt from getting more ridiculed.” He continued, letting them know the fight dragged on because of them.

”B-But I did my best to kill as many sludges as possible.” SilentWhisper pursed her lips and attempted to defend herself. Not only did she feel wronged, but she even wondered if Xu Feng had heard her inner thoughts about improving and getting revenge from back then.

After all, she was intentionally sacrificed from having been mistaken as a traitor by Xu Feng, but it was all a misunderstanding in the end and she was just a noob.

Since then, she had trained so hard, yet when the chance arose to prove herself once and for all, she got lambasted through the roof— no, through the sky.

As for Ardent Lance, he could only scratch his head and make some superficial excuse, blaming it on SilentWhisper.

”SilentWhisperʼs positioning is terrible, so there were many sludges that were about to harm her. Hence, I needed to slash the sludges and use the shield to bash them away. But that inadvertently causes them to split up and multiply themselves.”

”Ah, so youʼre saying I faulted you wrongly and everything is SilentWhisperʼs fault?” Xu Feng clasped his hands and asked gently.

”That is correct, Raid Leader!” Ardent Lance nodded solemnly, not an ounce of shame or guilt could be seen on his face.

Meanwhile, SilentWhisperʼs eyes widened in shock at the despicable and shameless behavior of Ardent Lance.

ʼThis bastard is pinning the blame on me!ʼ She cursed inwardly, wanting nothing more than to strangle the latter to death.

Thankfully for her though, Xu Feng was not one to waver or be swayed by othersʼ excuses. In fact, he would only be even more cruel, especially those who not only attempted to defend themselves but also pin the blame on others.

”How ridiculous, Ardent Lance!” Xu Feng sneered coldly.

”Sure, her position was not that ideal, but thatʼs because your assistance was even more trash than someoneʼs grandma. Even a grandma could do better than you!”

”Huh?” Startled, Ardent Lanceʼs mouth was agape.

”Have you not noticed Shadow Bladeʼs deflection and how he minimized the splitting of the sludges when compared to you?”

”H-He did?”

At this point, Xu Feng was seriously wondering how these guilds managed to survive with such low awareness members.

Ignoring these two, Xu Feng gazed at her and asked gently. ”Vortex Viper, can you tell me what you saw from Shadow Blade?”

”Uhh, yes!” Initially astounded by his sudden call out, Veronica stood up somewhat hastily.

”Ehm, I donʼt know much, Raid Leader.” She then said, afraid of speaking wrongly.

”Relax, I wonʼt reprimand you like these two clueless people.”

ʼBut I am one of the clueless people…ʼ Veronica wanted to say those words aloud but refrained herself. In the end, she took a deep breath and began recounting what she saw from Zhao Kai.

”Um, when Shadow Blade was deflecting the sludges away from me. Iʼve noticed his bullets not only deflected the sludges but they also didnʼt split themselves up.”

Nodding in agreement, Xu Feng patiently waited for her to continue.

Having realized she needed to go on, Veronica glanced at Carmen sneakily, who simply shrugged and smiled helplessly. Her implication meant that it was fine to go on and not worry about the others.

Sighing, Veronica had no choice but to continue, ”If I had to make a guess, I think Shadow Blade took notice of your advice since the start and swapped out his bullets to magic-based. Thus, even when he shot and deflected the sludges, not only will it damage them, allowing it to be easier for us to kill, but it also wonʼt increase the difficulty of the battle.”

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

Almost as soon as Veronica finished relaying what she noticed, Xu Feng clapped his hands repeatedly in a loud and crisp manner.

”Now then, Ardent Lance, have you realized your mistake or do you need me to label you as a clown at the level of Emberwolf?” Xu Feng asked nicely.

”...”

Ardent Lance felt like choking on his own saliva and felt extremely ashamed. Everything was captured on the stream by OneManMedia, but what made it worse was Xu Fengʼs next revelation.

”By the way, you must all be wondering if Iʼm biased to Vortex Viper, right?” Xu Feng exclaimed coolly.

”And you would be right for those thoughts. Not only was she invited by my dear Guild Commander, but she was also a new player in the Divine World. Hence, I wouldnʼt be harsh on her compared to you fake elites.”

It was as if a mic had been dropped on the stage, almost everyone, including those who were watching the streams for the drama, became astonished by the news.
