Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 438: Groups

With the revelation of a sudden entrance that had a spiraling downward staircase that led to the underground, Xu Feng straightened up, brushed some dust off his clothes, and turned to the crowd.

”From this moment on, I do not wish to hear any side chattering that doesnʼt relate to the raid. Other than OneManMedia who act as the commentary for our dear viewers watching, I want extreme quietness. Is that clear?” He declared loudly and coolly, exuding a completely different aura than before.

Even Vortex Viper and Catherine who were new to this were somewhat startled by the sudden chill in his tone. Find adventures on empire

Previously, they could feel his friendliness and quite approachable despite his status, but now they felt as if they had been locked on by a strong predator.

”No need to be afraid. The Guild Leader is merely warning the others to not make any moves without permission.” Ning Yi suddenly whispered to the two nervous women.

”Will he not get mad at us for chatting?” Catherine pursed her lips, afraid of earning the ire of Xu Feng.

”Relax, the Guild Leader told me to take care of the invitee. You two are not subjugated to that treatment.” Ning Yi reassured her and Carmenʼs friend.

To be honest, Ning Yi was also somewhat jealous of these two recently. No matter what mistakes they were to make, Xu Feng wouldnʼt even blame them. The only one he would blame was him and solely him.

ʼStill, I finally realized why I felt like treating him as a brother during our first meeting.ʼ Ning Yi thought to himself, recalling their encounter at the shop.

There was just a weird feeling that seemed to miraculously enshroud him from putting up any guards against the latter. And his instinct proved right yet again, with him becoming more and more impressed by Xu Fengʼs antics.

While Ning Yiʼs admiration soared to another height, Xu Feng remained unaware that his actions had influenced him dearly.

In fact, Xu Feng had already begun the roll call.

”Just like Iʼve spoken before, create a group of 10 among yourself. I want at least each of the groups to have a Cleric, an Assassin, and a Tank. Other than that, the classes could be whatever. You have 2 minutes to group up.” Xu Feng announced after checking how many classes had arrived for this raid.

As for why he didnʼt group them up earlier, he deliberately delayed the matter to let these strangers know a bit more about each other.

After all, if he didnʼt let them know each other well, then these people would simply group up with their respective guilds and teams.

However, that was precisely what Xu Feng didnʼt want to happen. To ensure the possibility of sabotage was minimized, he wished to split all of them and place them in a random group.

Of course, some people might still be capable of staying in the same guild or team with his requirements, but Xu Feng was someone who had a backup plan for a backup.

ʼHeh, as if I would just let you all remain still.ʼ He snickered inwardly when he noticed a few guilds didnʼt even bother changing places.

He made another simple action that looked no different than ordinary movement to the rest, but OneManMedia knew what that signal meant.

Without hesitation, OneManMedia quickly rushed to those who didnʼt move at all.

”Dear viewers, arenʼt you all bored of the same guildmates grouping up together? We all know their cooperation is probably flawless, but wouldnʼt that be boring for you all who are currently watching the stream?” OneManMedia pointed his camera at the Solaris Guild.

”Now who wants the Guild Captain Blake to move to another group instead to spice things up? I believe Guild Captain Blake is not one to falter despite unexpected changes, right? Weʼre doing a raid after all that could have numerous possibilities happening inside.”

Having been put on the spot from out of nowhere, Blake was instantly stupefied by OneManMediaʼs action. He had initially thought OneManMedia had simply come over to do some small prep talk, but he couldnʼt be any more wrong.

While he was speechless, Blake received a private message from one of his subordinates who purchased the fee to watch the stream and informed him of how many viewers were currently watching the stream.

Blakeʼs expression didnʼt change much on the surface, but inwardly, he was stunned by the ludicrous number of viewers.

Over 200 thousand people… that number might not seem that grand when compared to the world population, but once factors such as their sharing and power of social media were added, these 200 thousand people could easily quadruple.

ʼIs this the Vanguard guild way as revenge for my previous spies?ʼ Blake couldnʼt comprehend OneManMediaʼs actions.

What good would it do for them if he were to split his Solaris Guild up when they had bought precisely 10 slots with all the requirements met by Xu Feng? ”So is Guild Captain Blake not going to switch teams?” OneManMedia pressed on, indirectly forcing him to switch regardless if he wanted to or not.

With the amount of public scrutiny here, Blake cannot afford to— no, he didnʼt even have a choice to refuse.

What would the higher-ups of Solaris Guild think once the rumor spread that their Guild Captain was incompetent and couldnʼt lead a new team when moved to another group?

Being fired wasnʼt even the worst outcome, but not being prioritized or sought by others was essentially the end of his career in the Divine World.

Who would want to hire an incompetent Guild Captain?

”Alright, isnʼt it just to spice things up? Iʼm always up for a challenge.” Blake flashed a confident smile and agreed with OneManMediaʼs suggestion in a fiery manner.

”Perfect, I knew Guild Captain Blake wouldnʼt disappoint us.” OneManMedia clasped his hands and asked the viewers to give a round of applause for Blake.

After having Blake swapped the team, OneManMedia continued to break down everyone else, ensuring there were no more than 4 people of the same affiliation to be in the group.
