Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 407: Meaning of Healer

With Xu Fengʼs continuous charge and seemingly nonchalant attitude despite Chris charging at him with full killing intent, the latter was thoroughly infuriated.

Never once had he ever encountered such an annoying and irritating person in his lifetime.

”Shut the fuck up!” Chris shouted and unleashed his most powerful spells yet. He no longer cared about the damage it would do as long as the bastard in front of him vanished from this world.

THUD!

”Haha success—” Chris choked on his words when he thought his spell had landed directly amidst the sound created, but came to realize Xu Feng was unscathed.

What was worse was that he saw a translucent yellow-like barrier shrouding Xu Feng.

”A barrier?” Chris was alarmed and thought that Xu Feng was able to cast a powerful barrier.

However, his thought was quickly thrown out of the window when he heard multiple swooshing sounds.

”No, I must leave.” Realizing that the guards had been alerted, Chris turned around and was about to flee, only to end up seeing a hand grabbing straight at his face.

BAM!

Chris was slammed straight to the ground, with his face being gripped tightly by an unknown personʼs hand. Their strength and grip were far superior to him.

”Hmph, I was wondering if a Kobold had actually snuck into the city, but to think it was some gutsy person who thought they could neglect the rules and orders of Paradise Plains.” Amidst his panicking, Chris heard an authoritative and sneering tone.

Shortly after, the person finally released his grip, and when Chris thought it was a city guard, his expression darkened.

”Youʼre not even a guard!” He gnashed his teeth in anger and cursed.

Initially, Chris thought his luck had truly turned rotten, believing a cityʼs guard happened to be nearby after the isolated formation had been dispelled.

Yet who would have thought the person who apprehended him, along with the many others who arrived to assist Xu Feng, was some random passerby.

Of course, to Chris, they were random passersby, but to Xu Feng, he recognized one of them.

”I didnʼt expect you to be stalking me, Feras.” Xu Feng patted his clothes and mused.

Indeed, Feras was an NPC who had shown himself during the time when Carmen had displayed her battle prowess, prompting Feras and many NPCs to kneel and beg to be taken as disciples by her.

It was just a pity for them that Carmen rejected the notion and refused to accept any disciples.

”Ah, yes, itʼs good to see you, Sir.” Feras laughed awkwardly and scratched his head, his foot still on Chrisʼ face.

”Anyway, how should we deal with this person, Sir?” He then asked, clearly trying to avoid the topic of them stalking Xu Feng near the Teleport Platform.

Had it not been for their stalking though, they wouldnʼt have heard the commotion and come to check what was going on.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng didnʼt even hesitate for a second on how to deal with Chris now that he was apprehended.

”Kill him on the spot.” He declared in a cold tone.

”Aside from the attempted murder of someone within the city, the target he chose was also supervised to investigate the Koboldʼs invasion. This is a crime against Paradise Plains city safety as a whole and shall be executed on the spot.” Discover more content at empire

”Nonsense!” Chris roared loudly despite having his face being stepped on by Feras. ”Stop trying to add nonsensical crimes against me! All I did was initiate a brawl without taking the battle to the Arena instead.”

No matter how much he acted, Chris always gave himself leeway to escape, even if Xu Feng had infuriated him to no end.

A brawl wasnʼt that uncommon in Paradise Plains, given the Arena was such a hot commodity and event among citizens.

Therefore, an unofficial brawl occurring in the city happened numerous times. And the worst punishment was to pay a hefty fine for disrupting the city, along with compensation if anything else was damaged in the process.

”Umm…” Feras was rendered speechless and remained motionless. As a person who only involved himself in the Arena, he didnʼt know the law of the city much.

”Sir, are you sure we can just kill him?” He asked softly, unsure of how to proceed with the situation.

Xu Feng didnʼt bother to answer him and instead began conjuring the Nether Blast.

”Immobilize him and you can move to the side, Feras. I know what Iʼm doing.” He instructed.

A hint of hesitation appeared in Ferasʼ expression, but in the end, he still followed what Xu Feng said and immobilized Chris.

Under his horrified eyes, Chris was stupefied that Xu Feng was really going for the kill.

”Those who dare to kill others because of a small trivial matter, are bound to be hindrance and nuisance to others.” Xu Feng walked very slowly toward Chris as he continued his statement.

”As a healer, people often think they are just people who heal others during a battle, but many donʼt know that it has another meaning. Aside from healing, they also help others resolve their crisis or concern.”

By this time, Xu Feng was already a millimeter away from the sweat-drenching Chris.

Fright overwhelmed him completely when he sensed a cold chill running down his spine upon facing Xu Fengʼs aura. Contrary to his mockery speech from earlier, the current Xu Feng was like a professional cold-blooded killer who had killed many people.

”Y-You said a healer is to help others resolve their crisis, then why are you going for the kill?” Chris finally stuttered in a cowardly manner and pleaded, ”Just send me to the cityʼs guards and go on your own way.”

”Thatʼs where youʼre wrong, Chris.” Xu Feng smiled with a pitiful glance at Chris. ”What I meant is that by killing you. It would help resolve my problem of having to encounter you again in this lifetime. And do remember one thing for me. Remember this face exactly when you go to hell.”

”No—”

Before another word could come out of Chrisʼ mouth, Xu Feng unleashed the Nether Blast on his face, giving him a direct invitation to his ancestors.
