Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 1038: Chapter 150: Shattered Collapse (Part 3)

The knights who were not directly blown away felt as if countless mountains were pressing on their shoulders! The divine hurricane brought not only raging winds but also terrifying pressure! Their charging steps instantly became faltering and heavy, and the four hooves of their skeleton warhorses were deeply buried under the water, making every step a struggle. Any attempt to raise a weapon to block or attack made their arms feel like they were filled with lead, and their movements became incredibly sluggish.

Violent sandstorms whipped up large amounts of lake water, silt, and battlefield debris, mixed with holy golden light, fiercely lashing at the slits of their helmets, causing the soul fires with eerie blue hues to flicker wildly, dim and unstable amidst the onslaught of sandstorms and divine light! Meanwhile, the enormous wind pressure brought by the hurricane made it seem as if they were deep under the sea, making even the simple act of raising their head incredibly difficult.

The hurricane carried a clear intent: resist, and be punished; submit, and find peace. Only those Green Knights who instinctively or compelledly turned away from the Hesse Array or deeply bowed their heads under the assault of the storm felt the pressure of the storm suddenly lighten. Though still in the midst of the raging winds, unsteady in stance, at least they would not be directly blown away or completely immobilized by that destructive force. The knights who turned around lost their charge direction and attack target, and those who bowed their heads completely abandoned their offensive posture.

But what was astonishing was that this divine hurricane, capable of blowing away Green Knights, felt like a warm current brushing against the soldiers of the Hesse Legion! The gale howled past them, automatically avoiding the debris and splashes it raised, and the holy golden light even brought a slight invigorating sensation to their weary bodies, lifting their spirits! Although the water surface beneath their feet still churned violently, under the dual effects of the Water Repelling Pearl and Storm Will, their footing felt more stable!

”The storm helps us overthrow the enemy, the whole army launches a counterattack!” Marshal Orstein’s roar was like thunder, decisively seizing this critical opportunity! He saw the charging wave of Green Knights ahead fall into unprecedented chaos under the assault of the divine hurricane— the front line was blown away, suppressed, blinded, and the formation was thrown into disarray; the middle and back rows were forced to turn or bow, and their offensive collapsed!

”Holy Relic of Glory - Radiance of the Scorching Sun!” The marshal suddenly raised the massive, ancient shield engraved with a Sun Emblem high in his hand! The colossal gemstone at the shield’s center exploded with a purer and more intense golden light than Su Li’s storm!

An invisible, warm, and powerful aura radiated from the shield, immediately spreading, covering the entire Hesse Legion!

All Hesse soldiers felt their bodies slightly sink, as if adorned with a layer of invisible, warm armor. At the same time, they keenly sensed a change—their shields seemed heavier, more solid, and their instinct to block ranged attacks like arrows and stones appeared momentarily ”disabled.” However, in return, there was an unprecedented confidence in absolute defense against close-range attacks!

Hilude also raised her Book of Prayer, shouting heroically, ”Divine Magic - Armor of Justice!”

A brilliant golden light suddenly descended from the sky, like the radiance of a golden sun casting down the blazing Goddess Long Lance, dispelling the battlefield’s gloom, and each soldier soon shimmered with intensely solidified golden armor! It was a shield of Spiritual Energy, ensuring soldiers wouldn’t suffer any harm until the enemy shattered this shield.

”Soldiers of the Hesse Territory!” Orstein’s voice was crystal clear amidst the storm, filled with determination and strength, ”The storm shelters us! The holy relic guards us! The enemy is plunged into chaos! Follow me—advance! Crush them! For the glory of the Hesse Territory!!!”

”For glory!!!” The war cry erupted within the divine storm, louder and more powerful than ever before!

At the forefront, the Dwarf Warriors roared thunderously, leveraging the divine hurricane’s assistance, fiercely ramming their Rune Tower Shields forward! They were no longer content with defense but proactively advancing! The Tower Shields struck the Green Knights, pinned down by the storm, creating a dull, resounding impact. Simultaneously, war axes and heavy hammers swung wildly from the gaps between the shields, brutally smashing the unbalanced, soul-fire flickering undead knights!

The Hesse knights on the water seized the opportunity as the storm suppressed the enemy cavalry, urging their warhorses onward! Fueled by the combined effects of the Water Repelling Pearl and Storm Will, their warhorses galloped over the waves faster than on flat ground! They formed a compact Wedge Array, their spears like a forest, akin to a golden steel tide, crashing viciously into the chaotic Green Knight formation! No longer afraid of close-quarters combat, their knight shields, empowered by the Radiance of the Scorching Sun, became the strongest counter barrier!

Heavy Infantry closely followed the knights and dwarves, shields tightly guarding their fronts. Whenever any Green Knight, fortunate enough not to be suppressed or blown away by the storm, struggled to swing a weapon, the soldiers exerted themselves to block with their shields!

A bronze giant sword slashed fiercely at the reinforced Infantry Shield, causing a loud crash, the shield vibrating violently, but the soldier held firm!

Boom—! Almost at the moment of successfully blocking, the runes of the Radiance of the Scorching Sun flashed across the shield’s surface! A stream of hot, pure, divinely charged golden energy, akin to compressed sunlight, erupted from the shield, relentlessly bombarding the attacking Green Knight along the attack path!
