What if your Honkai Star Rail was like this?

Chapter 148: Chapter 148: Forbidden Technique: Liberation of the Seen

Mysterious Narrator of the Honkai: Star Rail World: The Lone Wolf’s Adventure, Act Two: High-Speed Chase, action!

Skott’s shamelessness caught Dan Heng off guard, throwing his carefully planned strategy into disarray.

Normally, wouldn’t someone at least pretend to refuse? Shouldn’t they say something like, ”No! You just saved me, how could I let you risk yourself again?” or ”A Nameless’s life matters too. You’ve done enough—leave the rest to me!”

That way, he could build some goodwill and gradually earn Skott’s trust.

But in reality, Skott not only accepted his suggestion without hesitation but acted as if it was only natural.

He even used it to morally pressure him.

The whole sequence showed not a hint of embarrassment or shame from Skott.

Dan Heng fell silent: If he didn’t go out and ”sell” now, with Skott’s personality, he might even resent him. But if he just went out so hastily, he wouldn’t gain any goodwill either.

Tch... looked like he had to use that move.

”This power, I originally did not wish to use.”

Dan Heng murmured softly, dragon horns appearing on his head as he entered his Imbibitor Lunae form.

Since returning from the Xianzhou Luofu, entering this state no longer caused his body to shrink. Even so, he still avoided using this form.

The reason was simple: something must have gone wrong during his previous life’s reincarnation process. In this state, his personality was influenced by his past self, turning him into... a jerk who loved to mess with people.

This was obviously something Dan Heng didn’t want to embrace, so he’d sealed this ability as a forbidden technique until now.

But in this situation... only a jerk could defeat a jerk.

It seemed he wouldn’t be able to build goodwill here—guess he’d leave that to Mr. Welt.

”Hm? Dragon horns? You’re from the Xianzhou?”

Seeing Dan Heng transform on the spot, Skott’s eyes narrowed, a mix of sorrow and anger rising within him. Last time on the Xianzhou, he was defeated by that Vidyadhara, Bailu, which led to him being sent to this backwater to handle business!

Hating the house along with the crow, Skott held a grudge against Bailu, which naturally extended to the Vidyadhara race and, by extension, to Dan Heng.

Skott’s inner thoughts: Hmph! A Vidyadhara? No, why would a Vidyadhara save me? Something’s fishy!

Dan Heng looked at him and smiled faintly. ”Indeed, I am Welt, a Vidyadhara wandering the stars.”

”Welt? Alright, I’ll remember you,” Skott said with a stern face. ”Go on, Welt. Didn’t you just say you’d draw that little girl away? Why aren’t you moving? Trying to back out?”

Dan Heng chuckled lightly. ”Back out? How could I, a grand Vidyadhara dragon... dragon descendant, deceive you? Just wait.”

With that, he swaggered out from the cover, slowly disappearing from Skott’s view.

”He actually left...”

Skott stared at Dan Heng’s retreating figure, murmuring, ”No, I can’t let my guard down...”

Three minutes later.

Thud, thud, thud...

Heavy footsteps echoed, and Dan Heng’s figure reappeared in Skott’s line of sight, making him tense. What was going on? Why was this guy back?

Whoosh—

Dan Heng moved at incredible speed, flashing a toothy grin at Skott as he passed by.

Skott: ?

Thud, thud, thud...

Skott felt something was very wrong—nine parts out of ten wrong. Welt had already run far, so why were the footsteps getting louder? Could it be...

!

Skott looked in horror toward the direction Dan Heng had come from. There was Clara, wielding Svarog like a freight train charging toward them.

”That blasted... Vidyadharas really are no good!”

Skott’s scalp tingled as he cursed and turned to run.

...

Clara was feeling a bit frustrated. The situation was deviating from the plan.

Originally, the plan was for Dan Heng to ”draw her away” (in reality, they’d take a break, snack on some seeds, and chat), then have Welt, posing as ”Clara’s subordinate,” continue the chase. At the critical moment, Dan Heng would swoop in for a ”hero saves the day” moment to build goodwill.

But Dan Heng had suddenly thrown the plan into chaos, forcing her to play along like she was teasing a kid—creating an oppressive atmosphere while holding back to avoid catching Skott in two steps.

”Hm?”

At that moment, Clara noticed Skott’s speed slowing ahead. As expected, office workers didn’t exercise, and he was already out of stamina after such a short chase.

Clara casually tossed Svarog, using it as a javelin that landed exactly one centimeter behind Skott.

”Arghhh—!”

Terrified by Clara’s move, Skott let out a bizarre scream, mustering all his strength to keep running.

In his full-speed sprint, Skott gradually caught up to the ”Welt” (Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae Dan Feng version) who had fled earlier. A surge of anger and grievance welled up in him.

”Welt! You jerk!!” Skott shouted in a breakdown.

Welt, waiting nearby for his cue: ???

”Hey? Mr. Skott, why’d you run here?”

Dan Heng glanced back at Skott, feigning surprise. ”Could it be... you were worried about me and came to save me? Sob, sob, this is too touching, Mr. Skott. You’re such a good person!”

Skott cursed, ”*** (authentic Lone Wolf accent), to hell with you! You blasted idiot, you led that crazy girl right to my face!”

”You did it on purpose, didn’t you?!”

Dan Heng’s face turned sorrowful. ”Mr. Skott... your words really hurt me. Haven’t you ever heard of the phrase ’fleeing in panic’?”

Skott snapped, ”You’re fooling a ghost! I saw you grinning when you passed me! You absolutely did it on purpose! You’re too low!”

Dan Heng: ”So what? I just made a mistake, it’s not like it was intentional. Can’t you be a bit more forgiving?!”

”You’re so petty—hardly a man!”

”Why are you only thinking of yourself? Why so selfish? And besides, you’re fine right now, aren’t you?”

Skott retorted brazenly, ”What? Isn’t it normal to think of yourself? Don’t women get petty too? And I’m not a forgiving person to begin with!”

Dan Heng: ”Hmph! If I’d known you were like this, I wouldn’t have saved you! I’m taking back the life I saved!”

As his words fell, a stream of water suddenly spread from beneath Skott’s feet, forming a water rope that wrapped around his ankle.

”Ah!!”

Skott lost his balance, crashing heavily to the ground with a pained wail. ”Welt, you just wait!!”
