Chapter 113: Chapter 113: Why Life Awakens from Dreams

”Dan Heng, stop resisting. Don’t you understand my true feelings for you?”

In Dan Heng’s despairing gaze, Stelle, dressed in a black suit with a high ponytail, climbed onto the bed with a rose in her mouth, gazing at him tenderly. ”Dan Heng, I’m here!”

Dan Heng: !!!

If it were an ordinary person, they might freeze at the sight of Stelle, think she’s not bad, and maybe half-heartedly agree. But Dan Heng was different.

To Dan Heng, Stelle was just a companion, not even a person—let alone a woman.

The moment he saw Stelle, he recalled all those absurd, unhinged moments from the past, and his face darkened instantly. ”Why are you here?!”

Stelle cupped Dan Heng’s cheeks. ”To take my bro home and make little Vidyadhara, of course~”

Dan Heng: !!!

Below is Dan Heng’s imagined married life, roughly like this:

”Dan Heng, look at this hahahahaha—” (Morning)

”Dan Heng, look at this hahahahaha—” (Noon)

”Dan Heng, look at this hahahahaha—” (Afternoon)

”Dan Heng, look at this hahahahaha—” (Evening)

”Dan Heng, look at this hahahahaha—” (Midnight)

If he had to live with Stelle all the time, he’d lose his mind!

Or maybe it’d be like this:

Dan Heng: ”Star, I’m going to work on my calligraphy and manga. Give me some personal space.”

Stelle: ”Mm, mm, mm, of course!”

(Ten minutes later)

Dan Heng: ”Huh? Why does it feel like there’s something under the table? Did we get a pet...?”

Stelle (popping out from under the table): ”Surprise! Dan Heng, did you miss me? How about I give you a foot massage?”

No! He’d have a nervous breakdown!

Or it could be like this:

”Waa—waa—waa—” (A baby’s cry)

Hearing the child cry again, Dan Heng, with dark circles under his eyes, rushed to the nursery without stopping.

As expected, Stelle had zero ability to care for a baby, so he, the full-time nanny, had to take on all the responsibilities.

Hungry and needing formula? Wet and needing a diaper change? Bumping their head on the crib? Or anxious from not seeing their parents for too long?

Luckily, no matter the issue, he could handle it...

So, Dan Heng opened the door with questions in his mind, only to see Stelle, barefoot on the floor, mimicking a baby’s cry.

Dan Heng: ”... ”

Stelle: ”Hehe.”

...

The imagining ends here.

No, no, no, this kind of life absolutely cannot happen. Absolutely not!!

Dan Heng’s pupils shook, his heart set on a do-or-die resolve. He thrashed desperately, heedless of everything. ”I won’t let go! Let me do anything, just let me go, let me go!!”

Unfortunately, reality is always cruel.

No matter how hard Dan Heng struggled, Stelle grabbed his ankle and dragged him back. He lay on the bed in despair, feeling Stelle’s restless hands wandering over him.

Rip—

In his fierce struggle, Dan Heng tore a seam in the wedding gown.

Stelle froze, then licked her lips, a wicked grin spreading across her face. ”Oh? A clothes-ripping segment? Hehe, here I come~”

...

”No!!”

Dan Heng roared as he snapped awake, his heart pounding, soaked in cold sweat. Being forced by a humanoid creature? Absolutely unacceptable!!

Huohuo, still providing Jing Yuan with ”wake-up services” nearby, jumped at his outburst. ”Dan Heng? You okay?”

Dan Heng didn’t respond. He panted heavily, calming himself for a moment, then his gaze locked onto Stelle and Phantylia trading blows in the distance. A surge of nameless rage flared up. He grabbed March 7th’s Cloud-Piercer, roared, and charged forward.

Huohuo: ?

What’s going on with him?

Whatever, time to wake Jing Yuan first.

Huohuo shook her head. By now, both of Jing Yuan’s cheeks were swollen from her slaps, yet he showed no signs of waking.

”This heliobus’s tricks are something else. Even physical wake-up calls aren’t working... No choice, I’ve got to try harder.”

With that, Huohuo extended two fingers and pinched Jing Yuan’s philtrum with such force that veins were faintly visible on her hand.

Swish—

After just two seconds of pinching, Jing Yuan’s eyes snapped open. This time, he was prepared, instinctively raising his hand to block Huohuo’s incoming chop to his neck.

”Old Jing, you’re finally awake. I went through a lot to get you up.”

Huohuo instantly switched to an innocent expression.

”I can tell.”

Jing Yuan rubbed his face. ”Let me get this straight... Phantylia used the Stellaron to drag us into nightmares, right? And you arrived just in time to take it down?”

”Uh... not really because of me.”

Huohuo pointed to the chaotic battle nearby. ”It’s mainly that gray-haired girl holding Phantylia back. And that Dan Heng guy just woke up—don’t know what he dreamed about, but he’s ready to fight Phantylia to the death.”

”I’d fight to the death too,” Jing Yuan shrugged. He glanced at March 7th, Bailu, and Yanqing, still trapped in nightmares. ”Huohuo, I’ll leave these three to you. I’m going to help.”

Jing Yuan stretched his wrists, and a towering Divine Lord wreathed in golden lightning slowly materialized. He charged forward recklessly—

”Phantylia, give me back my eighty million!!”

Huohuo: ???

”Great, another one’s gone crazy.”

Huohuo sighed helplessly, grabbing her little buddy Tail. ”Get to work. Wake those three up.”

Tail: ”Yes, Sister Huohuo! But I have a question.”

Huohuo: ”Speak.”

Tail: ”Well... when you were waking Mr. Jing Yuan, why didn’t you let me handle it directly? A mere heliobus possession? I could’ve dealt with it in a snap.”

Huohuo gave a slight smile. ”Don’t ask questions you shouldn’t.”

Tail: ”...Oh, oh, oh! I get it, I get it! I’ll get to work!”

Tail opened its mouth and sucked, and in the next second, blazing turquoise flames flew out of the three’s bodies, swallowed whole by Tail.

”Burp! That’s a lot. What faction is this Phantylia from? Its power’s insane... burp!”

Tail’s voice changed. ”Big Sis Huohuo, I-I can’t hold it all! There’s too much power—I’ve got to release it!”

”Tch, useless. Guess I have to step in.”

Huohuo shot Tail a disdainful glance, grabbing it and refining it in an instant!

Rumble—

Turquoise flames shot into the sky, and in the blink of an eye, a turquoise-flame wolf beast, rivaling the Divine Lord, materialized behind Huohuo.

”Hey, hey, hey, didn’t I tell you? This form’s too ugly. Change it.”

Seeing Tail’s new form, Huohuo frowned slightly. ”Change to that thing we saw in the movie a few days ago—what was it called... Godzilla? Switch to that, Sis!”
