Deep Space Scavenging, Hand Over Alien Warships at the Beginning

Chapter 144 The Arrogance of the Three-Eyed ClanThe fireworks in space did not last long.

The destruction of Zala’s flagship only plunged this busy star sector into a dead silence for less than three seconds.

Immediately after, the mining fleet, which had been as busy as worker ants, scattered and fled, while those ”defense nodes” hovering in orbit, like a hornet’s nest that had been poked, instantly erupted into chaos.

”Warning, high-frequency biological signal fluctuations detected.”

gaia’s voice echoed within the bridge, as cold as if reciting a eulogy, ”Enemy units regrouping. Quantity: 472. Ship classification: ’Tick’-class heavy frigate.”

On the large screen, those previously inconspicuous silver light spots rapidly enlarged.

These were not the warships with rigid lines that humans were accustomed to.

They were flat and oval-shaped, like red blood cells magnified countless times, their surfaces covered in a layer of constantly squirming, moss-like gray-green biomass.

There were no obvious propulsion nozzles; they relied on some kind of biological magnetic repulsive force to glide silently through space, yet they were astonishingly fast.

”Is this a Level 1.2 civilization?”

Academician Wang stared at the data on the screen, pushed up the glasses on the bridge of his nose, and frowned so deeply that a fly could be crushed between his brows, ”Interesting. They’ve skewed their tech tree.”

”They abandoned more stable metal smelting in favor of using genetically modified biological moss to serve as energy weapon shields and self-repairing armor.”

”These ’living warships’ are disgusting, yes, but they are tough and durable.”

”Not only thick-skinned, but also clingy.”

Lin Yuan watched the encirclement rapidly forming on the star map, his fingers tapping lightly on the armrest.

Without needing his order, the Daxia frigate fleet responsible for escorting them had already opened fire.

Dozens of tungsten alloy projectiles fired by electromagnetic railguns tore through the void at speeds of several thousand kilometers per second, slamming fiercely into the few ”red blood cells” charging at the forefront.

There was no expected metal fracturing.

The moment the projectiles hit the target, that layer of gray-green biological moss suddenly rippled violently, like a swamp swallowing a stone, dispersing and neutralizing the massive kinetic energy.

Although two enemy ships were knocked off course by the huge impact, and their hulls even dented, that disgusting moss squirmed rapidly, filling the wounds within a few short seconds.

”The shield strength is very high; physical resistance is at least eighty percent,” Lieutenant Li Na said, looking at the battle damage report with an unsightly expression, ”And they are releasing an interference field.”

On the battlefield, dozens of unmanned wingmen that had charged too far forward suddenly lost control.

Those Three-Eyed Race warships fired beams of dark green tractor beams, like sticky spider webs, firmly latching onto the human vanguard.

The captured drones were like insects trapped in amber, their engine nozzles futilely spewing flames, unable to break free even a bit, and could only watch helplessly as they were dragged toward the enemy formation.

”Bzzt—”

The public communication channel was forcibly accessed again.

This time, it was no longer Zala in the silk robes, but a Three-Eyed Race officer with a bloated, vicious face and brown patches covering his skin.

The background noise was filled with ear-piercing alarms and the roar of some kind of biological engine.

”Vile monkeys!”

The officer roared at the camera, his spittle seemingly about to spray onto Lin Yuan’s face, ”You ambushed Lord Zala’s flagship, but that changes nothing!”

”You are facing the great Three-Eyed Race, the most loyal hounds of the Mechanical Papacy!”

Behind him, through the porthole, one could see the human drones captured by the tractor beams being sprayed by some kind of corrosive acid, their metal shells sizzling and smoking as they rapidly melted.

”Do you see?”

The officer’s vertical eye was bloodshot and swollen, revealing a near-perverted fanaticism, ”This is your fate!”

”Your kinetic weapons are a joke in front of the ’God’s Moss’!”

”You are now like insects stuck in a web; the harder you struggle, the faster you die!”

”Surrender! Kneel! Hand over your host control rights, otherwise—”

Lin Yuan reached out and directly cut off the communication.

”So much nonsense.”

He picked his ear, his face showing not a trace of being provoked, but rather a hint of amusement, ”gaia, did you figure it out?”

”I have, Commander.”

gaia’s voice was without waves, directly marking several red circles on the large screen, ”Although the opponent’s offensive is fierce, in the past three minutes, they have not launched any substantial destructive strikes, but have been using tractor beams to restrict our positioning.”

”At the same time, the core energy readings of Proxima Centauri b are rising exponentially.”

”Hmm, a typical stalling tactic.”

Lin Yuan stood up and stretched his neck, his cervical spine emitting a crisp, popping sound like exploding beans, ”It seems that the so-called ’key’ is not just an object, but a big one.”

”These lackeys are charging that thing.”

”Commander, dragon sparrow main cannon has finished charging, requesting to fire again,” Li Na requested, her eyes murderous, ”Let’s wipe them all out with one shot.”

”Why use a butcher’s knife to kill a chicken.”

Lin Yuan waved his hand, ”dragon sparrow’s main cannon is meant to deter those three stars, and one charge burns three million points of my energy; it’s too much of a loss.”

”These poor ghosts driving ’moss balls’ don’t have much worth looting anyway.”

He turned, not walking toward the command console, but toward the exclusive elevator on the side of the bridge.

”Since they think their turtle shells are hard, I’ll go help them knock on them.”

”Old Wang, is what I wanted ready?”

Academician Wang was buried in a pile of holographic blueprints and didn’t even look up upon hearing this: ”It’s been preheating in the launch silo for a while.”

”But that’s a prototype, using the ’Black Death Star’ titanium alloy redeemed from the system mall, and the power furnace is a direct-connect port to your antimatter heart... Take it easy, don’t throw your back out.”

”Don’t worry, my back is just fine.”

Lin Yuan walked into the elevator and took one last look at the arrogantly squirming ”red blood cell” warships on the large screen.

A cruel arc curled at the corner of his mouth.

”Perfect, let’s use them to test the sharpness of the new toy.”

...

In space.

The Three-Eyed Race’s encirclement was calmly tightening.

Under the command of that spotted officer, dozens of tractor beams were woven into a huge net, attempting to trap the massive dragon sparrow within it as well.

”These primitive civilization’s ships, other than being big, are useless.”

The spotted officer looked at the motionless dragon sparrow, the contempt in his eyes growing more intense, ”They don’t even have a decent energy weapon shield, yet they dare to intrude here.”

”Once I capture this ship, I will take the monkeys inside one by one...”

Boom!

A pitch-black stream of light shot out from the belly of the dragon sparrow without any warning.

It was too fast.

So fast that even the Three-Eyed Race’s biological radar couldn’t catch a shadow, that stream of light had already crossed hundreds of kilometers, like a meteorite from hell, slamming fiercely into the most densely packed area of the warships.

There was no deceleration.

That thing smashed directly through a wingman that was too close to evade, and amidst the flying fragments of biological tissue and metal debris, it stepped heavily onto the spine of another ”Tick”-class frigate.

Thud—!

Sound cannot travel in a vacuum, but the massive kinetic energy released at that moment was conducted through the hull of the frigate, allowing all the Three-Eyed Race crew members inside to hear a muffled sound like a funeral bell.

The entire three-hundred-meter-long warship was suddenly pushed down.

”What is that?!”

The spotted officer turned the surveillance camera in terror.

On the back of that violently shaking frigate, the smoke cleared, and a steel giant slowly stood upright.

It was no longer the dazzling gold from before.

Its entire body was pitch black, deeply black, so black that it seemed to devour all surrounding light.

The twenty-five-meter-tall machine body was crafted from some unknown dark matter alloy, with dark red energy circuits flowing on its surface, pulsing like blood vessels.

It had no extra long-range mounted weapons, not even guns.

Only on its back did it carry a thirty-meter-long, ridiculously exaggerated physical greatsword.

The mech’s head was shaped like a demon mask, and the eye positions were not glowing optical lenses, but two clusters of ghostly blue soul fire burning in the vacuum.

【xingtian demon god】

This was a killing machine Lin Yuan had tailor-made for himself, combining titan technology and mechanical godhood.

He abandoned all long-range firepower, piling all energy into two attributes: extreme power and absolute defense.

”Is this... a mech?”

The spotted officer was stunned.

In interstellar warfare, mechs were usually just auxiliary units for boarding operations; who would drive a mech and charge directly into a warship formation?

This defied logic!

”Focus fire! Shoot it down!”

The rising and falling beams of energy weapon instantly submerged the pitch-black mech.

However, a desperate scene occurred.

Those lasers, capable of melting steel, hit the black mech’s armor like water washing over a stone, not leaving even a single scratch.

The physical resistance of the titanium alloy, in the face of an energy weapon of this energy level, was equivalent to invincibility.

Inside the mech, Lin Yuan watched the series of ”Miss” prompts on the holographic screen and yawned boredly.

”Is that it?”

He tightened his grip on the control stick, the pleasure of being neuro-synchronized with the mech making his blood boil, ”Since you don’t know how to say hello, let me teach you.”

The pitch-black mechanical arm lifted suddenly, not reaching for the greatsword on its back.

Lin Yuan controlled the mech, his hands forming claws, and thrust them fiercely into the ”biological shield” of the warship beneath his feet.

That layer of gray-green moss, which could even deflect railgun shells, was as brittle as a thin sheet of paper in front of the titan mechanical hands enhanced by 【Void Affinity】.

”Open... for me!”

Lin Yuan let out a low roar, his hands exerting force in opposite directions.

Accompanied by the teeth-grinding sound of metal twisting and biological tissue tearing, that mech, possessing tens of thousands of tons of thrust, actually relied purely on brute force to tear the three-hundred-meter-long interstellar warship beneath its feet in half—alive!

Pfft—!

A large amount of green blood, mixed with air and the corpses of crew members, instantly gushed out, exploding in space into a gorgeous and cruel mist of blood.

An interstellar warship.

Was torn apart by bare hands.

The entire battlefield was dead silent.

The spotted officer’s three eyes widened to their limit, the corners even splitting open with blood.

His brain was trembling, his logic collapsing.

He could not understand the scene before him.

Was this war?

This was clearly a massacre!

Amidst the floating wreckage and frozen blood clots, the mech, like a demon god, slowly turned its head.

Those two clusters of ghostly blue ghost fire, across thousands of kilometers of void, precisely locked onto the spotted officer’s flagship.

The mech raised its mechanical hand, which was still dripping with green slime, and beckoned slightly with its finger.

The next second.

The space behind the mech collapsed suddenly.

Teleportation!

”No!!!”

Amidst the spotted officer’s desperate screams, that black god of death instantly appeared outside his porthole.

The massive mechanical palm grabbed the outer wall of the bridge directly, and like crushing a soda can, slowly tightened.

Amidst the creaking sound of twisting alloy, Lin Yuan’s cold voice, transmitted through physical contact, directly resonated within the entire bridge:

”When recycling scrap, there’s no need to be polite.”
