Chapter 1455: Becoming a Spirit Transcendence

”Wha—!” Raincart was taken aback. Did he hear it wrong? 7 spirit transcendences? A single kingdom possessed such an overwhelming power, and they were not even aware of it this whole time? It was no wonder Noel wanted to keep this a secret.

If such information were revealed, it could shake the entire kingdom. They might even become greedy for power and try to bring them in.

However, he recalled an unknown person being a spirit transcendence that Noel brought with him when receiving him.

”Wait. That spirit transcendence from earlier…”

”No. She doesnʼt come from there. She hailed from another place across the ocean. During the sea expedition, I had the liberty of inviting her here as a helper.

”Well, you could say that she is also linked to my ancestor. Among all the commandants that my ancestors had, she was one of their descendants.”

”Then… the fourth spirit transcendence…”

”So, you have known this far.” Noel nodded in understanding. ”Yes. The one still hidden is from that kingdom. Weʼve formed an alliance, so you donʼt have to worry about it.”

”R-Really?”

”Yes. Are you afraid of them? Then, you donʼt have to. Although itʼs true that weʼre weaker, it doesnʼt necessarily mean we canʼt do anything.

”Do you know that Mother has become a spirit transcendence as well?”

”She what?” Raincart widened his eyes in shock. This was the first time he had heard of Leysha having the ability to become a transcendent. Although he admitted Leysha was talented, he thought Leyshaʼs limit was a peak grandmaster like him.

It turned out he was wrong. Leysha was much more talented than he originally thought.

Noel thought for a moment before asking, ”Grandfather. Do you want to become a spirit transcendence?”

”Huh?” Raincartʼs shock turned into confusion.

”I have given her a trick that allowed her to become a spirit transcendence. However, it will only allow grandmasters who have found their transcendent path. In addition, by using this method, you will probably not be able to advance any further.”

”!!!” Raincart felt like his heart was going to drop. At this rate, he would have a heart attack first before seeing his great-grandchild from Noel and Anna.

In the world, there were only two Spirit Transcendence in the Greenwood Kingdom and the Muivell Kingdom, one in the Atracaeca Kingdom, and three in the Zaecuria Kingdom. Their number was low because of how hard it was to reach this stage.

As for the peak grandmasters who had found their transcendent path, there were at least 30 people who had such power.

They simply couldnʼt step forward due to their lack of comprehension. Yet, Noel claimed he had a solution for such a trick?

For most people, spirit transcendence was their ultimate goal. Who cares whether they could become a spirit king or not? In fact, in all one thousand years, there was only one person who managed to become a spirit king. He was Noelʼs ancestor, Alexander Ardagan.

So, he didnʼt expect that Noel could easily find a method to allow those peak grandmasters to become spirit transcendences. If this secret were revealed to the public, it would be a frenzy. They would do anything to get this information from him.

At the same time, when researching the Ardagan family, he heard the Ardagan family had twelve spirit transcendences in their ranks. His ancestors might have found the way, and Noel rediscovered that secret.

”…” Raincart didnʼt accept it immediately. He asked, ”How many spirit transcendence experts do you actually have?”

”Right now? The only ones who truly belong to the Ardagan family are just me, Anna, and Rui. The last one is from an alliance. However, there are several people who have become spirit transcendence through this method. They are the Moon Templeʼs Saintess, Duke Lorelei, and Mother.

”Dimitri and a captain from the Demon Banner Army are trying to break through in the demon territory. Howard will have a hard time reaching this rank, but the head of my navy, Incetta, will become one sooner or later.

”Thatʼs all for now.”

”…” Raincart was speechless. He never thought there would be so many of them already. ”That means you have three, with your mother, Dimitri, and this Incetta.

”And it looks like Saintess Layla and that captain from the Demon Banner Army are there to help you against the demon. Itʼs already eight people.

”Since you can borrow someone from the Demon Banner Army, that means their commander is also your ally. Duke Lorelei must be the same. In other words, you have a total of ten spirit transcendence experts for this upcoming battle. In addition, there are seven more from that unknown kingdom.”

”Yeah. Thatʼs about it. We can add one more if Grandfather wishes to become one, but I will respect your decision. Thereʼs also Uncle Laufey, but he had some problems before, so itʼs undecided for the time being.” Noel nodded.

Raincart couldnʼt help but fall into deep thought. Now that he was this old, this matter wasnʼt as simple as it used to be. If he became a spirit transcendence, a lot of things would occur, especially in the Greenwood Kingdom. He had to deal with them as well.

”Is our enemy that strong?” Raincart squinted his eyes.

”Yes. If Iʼm not mistaken, we will have to face two demon kings simultaneously. There will be more ancient demons than the world has ever seen before…” Noel nodded. An ancient demon was so rare to see that a normal person might not be able to see it in their lifespan, yet Noel predicted there would be so many ancient demons, which was also the reason for him to help others to become a spirit transcendence.

”I donʼt wish for the tragedy that my ancestors had to experience to be repeated. I wish to end everything, once and for all.”

Raincart took a deep breath. ”Before giving you my answer, can you answer this question?”

”What is it, Grandfather?”

”Suppose we can win, what are you planning to do next? World domination?”

”World domination, huh? My dream is not as grand.” Noel spread his arms. ”Grandfather. We are like frogs living inside a well. The world is so vast. Even if you spend your entire life exploring the world, it might not be enough. I want to travel all around the world… the world beyond what we know so far.”

”!!!” Raincartʼs body shook when he heard that answer. He smiled helplessly. That answer had allowed him to make a decision. ”I will do it… I will become a spirit transcendence.”
