Reborn in the 90s with a Space: Winning Back My Husband

She had been busy running around for the Shen family’s farm lately. Although the Lu family did own a small share of Shen’s Farm, the farm ultimately belonged to the Shen family, making them the biggest beneficiaries.

Even if her in-laws didn’t say anything, there was no guarantee they wouldn’t feel some resentment down the line.

Their daughter-in-law had married into their family, yet she was always running back to her maiden home to handle her family’s affairs.

If she had ended up with petty parents-in-law, they would have started criticizing her long ago.

So, the shares in the clothing factory were Shen Nian’s way of compensating them. It was to show them that in her heart, they were just as important!

Although the shares were in Lu Xinyue’s name, as far as Father Lu and Mrs. Lu were concerned, if their children were doing well, then they were doing well.

They didn’t have to worry about their son’s future, which just left their daughter.

Now that Shen Nian had provided such a significant guarantee for Lu Xinyue’s future, how could Father Lu and Mrs. Lu possibly have any complaints?

’A ten percent stake in exchange for her in-laws’ increased goodwill? That’s a bargain.’

Besides, if Lu Xinyue’s future was secure, Lu Cheng, as her older brother, would naturally be more at ease. And Shen Nian was always willing to do things that made Lu Cheng happy.

”Dad, Mom, I’ll be going to B City soon, so I won’t be home much. I was hoping Xinyue could help me out at the clothing factory. Besides, Xinyue has a great talent for fashion design, and I hope she can put more effort into it in the future.”

Lu Xinyue was overjoyed to hear what Shen Nian said. ’My parents aren’t as understanding as my sister-in-law, and they don’t get the potential of a career in fashion design.’

’I’m still in high school, after all. If I start spending all my time at the clothing factory, my parents will definitely give me a talking-to.’

’But now that my sister-in-law has said this, it’s a different story! Mom and Dad know how skilled she is at designing clothes—they’re wearing outfits she made right now!’

’If even my sister-in-law says I have talent, Mom and Dad definitely won’t object! Then they probably won’t stop me from visiting the factory often in the future, right?’

”Xiao Nian, do you really think Xinyue has talent?”

Their son was capable and had never given Father Lu and Mrs. Lu much cause for concern, but their daughter was a different story. She had never shown any particular outstanding talent growing up, and they were somewhat worried about her future.

Especially with their daughter-in-law about to go to university, they couldn’t just let their own daughter end up with only a high school diploma, could they? But they had to admit, Lu Xinyue’s grades were a far cry from Shen Nian’s.

’But now... if our daughter really has a talent for fashion design like our daughter-in-law says, maybe she could work toward that in the future?’

”Dad, Mom, I’m serious. And Xinyue and I have already talked it over. In three years, she’s going to work hard to get into a university in B City to study fashion design. As long as Xinyue is willing to learn, we can even send her abroad to study in the future!”

”She could go abroad?!”

Sun Yufeng’s eyes lit up. In this era, anyone who could go abroad was considered highly capable—it wasn’t like later on, when people who had studied overseas were a dime a dozen.

If her daughter could really go abroad, what a wonderful thing that would be! It would bring great honor to the family!

”That’s right, Mom! So you see, with these shares, as long as the Zhuo Family’s clothing factory does well in the future, sending Xinyue abroad will be no problem at all!”

Shen Nian believed that with Lu Xinyue’s future in mind, Father Lu and Mrs. Lu would be willing to accept the shares. Their acceptance would, in effect, represent their understanding of Shen Nian, and they would have fewer complaints about her preoccupation with Shen’s Farm.

After all, even while she was busy with her own family’s affairs, she hadn’t forgotten about them.
