Reborn in the 90s with a Space: Winning Back My Husband

He Hongming could certainly make the call, but the expression on his face was anything but relaxed.

”Uncle He, is there some sort of problem?”

Shen Nian asked, seeing the troubled look on He Hongming’s face. If there really was a complication, she wouldn’t be surprised. A company isn’t like an individual; it’s normal to have your hands tied by various interests.

”Xiao Nian, it’s not that I’m unwilling to work with your family’s farm. It’s just that you might not be fully aware of our supermarket’s current situation...”

”Uncle He, are you referring to the poor sales in the produce section?”

”You know about that, Xiao Nian?”

He Hongming was genuinely curious when he heard what Shen Nian said. He was certain this was her and her brother’s first time in his supermarket. ’It’s quite impressive that she noticed that in such a short time.’

”What if I told you that’s precisely what I’m counting on?”

If anyone else had said that to him, He Hongming might have lost his temper. After all, who would be happy to hear someone say they were interested in their business *because* it was doing poorly?

But since it was Shen Nian, not only did He Hongming not get angry, he sensed she was getting at something.

”Xiao Nian, don’t keep me in suspense. What do you mean?”

”It’s actually quite simple, Uncle He. The reason your produce section has poor sales is that your vegetables are too ordinary; they have no competitive edge. Changing that is also easy. Just replace your current produce with something more competitive, right?”

He Hongming couldn’t help but chuckle after hearing her out.

”Xiao Nian, I understand the principle, of course. It’s just that our supply channels are already excellent. Finding even better ones is easier said than done!”

”The solution is right in front of you!”

Shen Nian shrugged. ’He’ll be tempted once he finds out what our farm is capable of. I’m sure of it.’

”Are you talking about your family’s farm?”

He Hongming wasn’t slow; he understood what Shen Nian was implying. However, even if she was his family’s great benefactor, business was business. There was no room for exaggeration.

”Uncle He, I know you probably don’t believe me right now. But don’t worry, the proof will be in the tasting.”

”What do you mean?”

Shen Nian shot Shen Xiangdong a look. He immediately brought over the backpack and opened it in front of her.

Shen Nian pulled out a bag filled with several kinds of vegetables she had prepared in advance.

”I brought these specially. They’re from our farm. Why don’t you take them home, Uncle He? Add them to your dinner tonight and try them for yourself. Then you’ll understand what I mean. We’ll be staying in the provincial capital tonight, so we can wait for your answer tomorrow before we discuss the details of a partnership.”

He Hongming looked at the large bag of vegetables Shen Nian produced and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ’It looks like she and her brother really are here to propose a partnership,’ he thought. ’They even brought the samples with them.’

”Alright. In that case, I’ll take you up on that. I’ll try your farm’s vegetables when I get home tonight.”

”Okay.”

”But before that, Xiao Nian, I have a small request. I’m not sure if it would be asking too much of you.”

He Hongming looked at Shen Nian, hesitating for a moment before he finally decided to speak.

”Oh? Go ahead, Uncle He. You can speak freely.”
